Robert Higgins (ginghis) | 3 comments Hello,
I am Robert Stephen Higgins, known to my friends as Bob and family as Bobby. I spent a career in Mechanical engineering and took early retirement to put my training in disciplined analysis to social and political issues.
My first book was "Human Rights, What Are They Really?" (2008). It presents the correct approach to determining what fundamental rights every person has and is quite different from the UN declaration which contains ideology. It applies the theory to ten current issues ranging from abortion to world poverty.
The second book was published in June, 2020 and provides an alternative structure and operation of government that is void of ideology.
Both books are available at Amazon or Kindle. They are for those who have a serious attitude to social and political trends.

Dee_hayfordhotmail.Com | 2 comments I am Dee Hayford and I live on the south coast of England. Lockdown gave the impetus to complete and publish my book which I hope will provide an entertaining escape to those frustrated by the current limitations on travelling the World.
'Careering Across Countries pre covid-19' is available in paperback and e reader.
Hopefully it will inspire others to travel once restrictions are lifted.

Guy Morris (guymorris) | 74 comments Hello Good Readers!
I am new to Good Reads only a few weeks. I uploaded my first book, started a free promotion, and started a blog in addition to the blog on my site and official Facebook page. My way of saying hello ya'll.

I write realistic, well-researched thrillers that read as if they could be true, well, because they could be true. I find truth scarier than fiction and spend a great deal of time researching to find the hidden flaws, the unspoken secrets and moral dilemmas. Then I take you on a wild ride, what one reviewer called A PULSE-POUNDING GRAB YOU BY THE THROAT THRILL RIDE - but your extraordinary and warm character guides will be human, flawed and with a sardonic humor to make the trip enjoyable.

Let's take a thrill ride together!

William Gray | 5 comments Hi, I'm Bill Gray and I am the author of the recently self-published Love's Labour's Won: The Secret Life of William Shakespeare. The book is a hybrid fiction/nonfiction work which took many years to research, write and edit. The first part of the book is a cradle-to-the-grave fictional autobiography of Shakespeare. The second part is an extensive "All Things Shakespeare" afterword with sections on Separating Fact From Fiction, Recommended Reading, Good and Great Shakespearian Movies, Essential Documentaries, Shakespearian Vacations and Daytrips, and The Plays The Thing (Seeing Live Performances). I'm running a Goodreads Giveaway which expires at 11:59 this evening if you would like to enter for a chance to win a signed, personalized copy. I'm also the author of an unpublished military style thriller set in the 90's which I hope to revise and publish in 2021, as well as quite a bit of unpublished poetry and song lyrics. I look forward to participating in the group.

My first novel, THE GEMINI EFFECT (47North) won the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award for Sci Fi/Fantasy/Horror and the 2016 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award for Best Science Fiction novel. I've written a lot of post-apocalyptic/dystopian stuff, but have recently been writing military science fiction (just started book 4 of a series called The Han Wars).

Here's my website if you're interested: chuckgrossart.com

Looking forward to taking part in some of the discussions.

Alex Exarchos | 1 comments Hi everyone!
My name is Alex Exarchos.
I was born in downtown Athens, Greece some 40 years ago and I currently live in Frankfurt, Germany.
Unique, inspiring and heart-capturing story-telling has been my key obsession, motivation and purpose in life ever since I became aware of himself.
I have so far published three fiction books in English («MONO», in 2013, «Grey Zones of Savoir-Vivre» in 2017 and, very recently, «White City»), and I have two more non-fiction books (titled «WHO ARE YOU?» and «Manifesto») in the pipeline; the latter are foreseen to be published in December this year.
I have also written and published numerous short stories, poems, collections and articles, which may all be found in my website: https://alexarchos.com/
My most recent book is «White City», a dystopian sci-fi / psychological thriller novel, which I would be happy to share for free with any of you, in exchange for an honest review to be published in Amazon.
You may find all information on «White City» here:

Happy to have joined this group!

Leah (leahingledew) | 3 comments Hi everyone!

I'm Leah and I've loved reading books since I was a child, and now as an adult, I love writing and illustrating them for other children. I've written two fictional books, Ugly Ollie, and A Cumbrian Prince, and more recently, a nonfiction book called Frogs: Weird and Wonderful, combining a lifelong interest in frogs.

I've only just updated my profile to author, and would love it if you could view my profile and my books, maybe leave a review if you like what you see, or even ask me a question!

I also have a website if you fancy a look at that too, www.leahingledew.com

I look forward to many interesting discussions!

Marin . | 30 comments My name is Marin and I am a proud self-published author.
I create (write/illustrate/design/publish/promote) my own children's picture books.
My goal is to reach the little ones with meaningful, thought-provoking, memorable, and if possible, one-of-a-kind stories.

Oh, a few more things: I do not drive, I do not drink carbonated beverages, I have never consumed food from fast-food restaurants, I do not have a mobile phone, I have never used legal or illegal drugs, and I have never visited my GP (much to the disapproval of my wife).
I live with my family on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean - in St. John’s, NL, Canada.

ED KITSOS | 2 comments Hey, I am Ed. I just wrote my first children's picture book. It is a lighthearted story intended for beginner readers ages 3-8. It is a fun, rhyming book seen through the lens of Waggy Tail, a young puppy in search of her forever family. The story and illustrations are designed to captivate and engage young readers, while the rhyming words aid in teaching early readers skills such as phonemic awareness and fluency development.
