Hello. I'm a writer and a reader and, most recently, the editor of a book of essays and poems about life as we age. I started writing as a journalist in Central America, then moved on to a wide range of topics. I tried my hand at two novels, enough to convince myself to stick to non-fiction. I am passionate about breaking the stereotypes about aging and helping people get the most out of life in the second half.Crow's Feet: Life As We Age
Hello,My name is Dezi Shepperd and I am hopeless bibliophile turned author. My siblings preferred to play outside and I Ioved the solitude of my bedroom closet. Nobody forced me in there it was just my special place. I guess you would say, I had a reading nook before they were cool.
Give me a pencil with a very pointy tip, my notebook and a pink eraser and that's a party. I have a collection of journals, I wrote in composition books that chronicle my life from JHS to the birth of my second child.
My favorite place to write is the beach which also is where I make all my major life decisions. Pasta is my favorite food, I have frequent dreams of eating unlimited pasta at my favorite Italian restaurant.
My best friend who deserves a book dedicated to her life story is the one who encouraged me to write my first children's book Cassidy and the Mixed Up Numbers.
My children think I'm cool finally! If you are a parent you know what a difficult task that is to accomplish. Oh and I like cheese!
Greetings, fellow geeks. For the past 32 years, I've dirtied my soul in advertising and am now writing fiction as a form of penance. I'm primarily a short story writer, though I read all forms of fiction avidly, voraciously, and other words ending in -ly. I enjoy making new friends here, and hope to count some of you as new ones. Yes I do.
Greetings, everyone. After closing my my medical practice and having co-authored two non-fiction books, I decided to pursue my dream to write a series of fact-based mystery-thrillers about what I know best: the pharma industry and the medical world. The first book of this series is now in its editing phase and I just started to build an author platform. Stay tuned! https://www.sophysmythe.com

A Foreshadowing of Darkness, The Rise of Arawn Book One.
I have had this character in mind since 1986. I created him playing DnD and decided to write his origin story this year. I’m very excited about the book and am planning 5 more in the series. I have begun writing Book Two already, A Confluence or Shadows. I would love to hear your thoughts on it!

My book is YOUR WORDS, a collection of poems and photographs.
Beautiful and inspiring poetry about different life subjects, about my relationship with God and how I turn to Him. Other poems are just beautiful, some are for children. And the photographs (which I took myself) complement the writing.

Hi everyone,It's been a year almost since I published my last novel, LOVE and the DANCE. So many changes this year. I usually find myself writing a novel and then I need a break and write a children's book but writing a children's book on bullying when so many children were social distancing changed that plan.. I started journaling but that became depressing. So, I decided to give back a little and start my YouTube channel and tell many of the stories I had written for children over the years that were just collecting dust in my desk drawer. That was fun! Today, however, I realized that I had abandoned my characters when they left Positano in LOVE and the DANCE, There is so much more to their story...so I begin the sequel. Stay tuned. Be well.
My name is Annie James. I've published one book, Feeding Ground, and I am currently writing the 2nd book in the series. When I am not writing, I am hanging out with my husband and our two cats.

Hey, I'm Elliot, 29, an author, reader, writer, poet, thinker, blogger. I enjoy reading for knowledge, so I'm heavy on nonfiction. But also, I enjoy good stories, so I dabble in fiction also. But, here lately, I have been mainly steered towards writing. Hello to all.

My favorite reads used to be fiction then I started writing fiction. Now I read to research for my next project. I do still enjoy a good novel about once a month. My last treat was Michael Chabon's Moonglow. I highly recommend this book to any reader or author looking to experience a new sub-genre I'll call fictional memoir. Lovely book.
Michelle Layer Rahal here, self-published author of the Indie-Award winning book, Straining Forward. I thought one book would be enough, but I'm currently writing my second and seeking an agent. When not writing, I can be found cooking up a storm or sipping a glass of fine red wine with my nose buried in a good book.
Hi everyone, I'm Zach. I've always loved to write and have self-published one book, an adult fantasy novel called Legacy of Fellnoir. Hello everyone! I'm Dion and I hope you are all safe and healthy in these difficult times. I have been writing for many years but when the pandemic hit and I realised nothing is eternal, I wanted to make sure that my words can be heard by other people. Therefore, I wrote a poetry collection named "My Dawn Is Only Five Hours Away" starting from the lockdown period and it is out November 13! It is self-published and this process helped me learn a lot. If you wish to pre-order it now, be my guest:My Dawn Is Only Five Hours Away

Hello, thanks for letting me into your group. I am a Scandinavian writer and new here on Goodreads. I write fantasy for adults. Men seem to really enjoy my books, which surprised me a little. Currently, I am translating my fantasy series The Kongahälla Legend, set in the nine worlds of Norse mythology (with a twist). The first book is out in E-book and now in print, it will also soon be available as an audiobook. I am translating the second book to get it out there in a timely fashion. I do have an author page here on Goodreads, look in will you. ;)
Hi, everyone, I'm the author of the Fire & Ice series: Awakening, Survival, Earth Walker, Heart of Stone and Invasion.I was born in Wales, but brought up my family in Kent. I came late to writing. My children are full grown and, in 2011, I had a dream - yes, I knows that sounds like a cliche, but there it is.
One morning, I had a conversation with my daughter about vampire fiction. My position was ‘there is no point writing about vampires, unless you have something new to say’.
That night, I had a dream which followed me around in the daytime, too, and I sat down, got out my laptop, and wrote it out of my head. But no, instead of putting an end to the story it opened a floodgate I had no idea was there.
I went from someone who had never written a word in thirty years, to writing 80,000 words in six weeks.
It was the birth of the ‘Fire & Ice’ series of books featuring Connor and Rebekah and a prequel, all of which are written. The first 5 books were released in 2018, hopefully. The final instalment is out November 2020.
I worked on an online writers site - Writers Carnival - and wrote more than 80 short stories, 50 poems, and flash fiction at that time.
I published stories in Readers Carnival and Sanitarium magazines before committing to becoming a novelist.
My biggest irritation in life, is that there are not enough hours in the day to fit in my day job, my writing, marketing, online platform building, and -insert the many things I may have forgotten here-!
Writing is my passion, my name is Karen, and I’m very pleased to meet you.
Think ‘Twilight’ meets ‘Game of Thrones” and you are in the right mind-set to enter the world of ‘Fire & Ice’.
Awakening
Haven't been here in awhile, so I thought I'd update. Real name is Chris H. Stevenson, but I write YA under my pen name Christy J. Breedlove. I wrote the YA fantasy/thriller series Screamcatcher, of which there are three books. Just recently Screamcatcher: Web World took the YA bronze medal in horror in the Reader's Favorite International Book Awards Contest; the 5-Star badge and review, and YA Book of the Year in the N.N. Light Novel Writing Contest. I'm also entered in the Eric Hoffer and Next Generation Indie Awards. The same book is getting a very soft knock from the Hollywood direction. So pretty pleased with the result of this series. I have dozens of other books in the adult category and various genres. I haven't had a chance to list everything, and about six of them have been published in just the last 18 months, with a new one under contract now. I run Guerilla Warfare for Writers, the watchdog and writer advocacy site.
Hello to readers and authors alike - I am both! My book, Life Lessons and Tales of Little MisFit is the first of a series of 7 Life Lessons books planned. These books are designed to provide through humorous tales some life lessons to children and young adults – book 1: Life Isn’t Always What It Seems – is Little MisFit’s first life lesson (from age 3 ½ - 9). She provides numerous examples in her tales that allow the reader and adults to have a conversation about their own life experiences. It is a great media for adults to share their own personal life stories without coming off preachy and at the same time getting kids to talk about their own experiences. There is a life lesson for each of the 7 books in the series that LMF learns as she grows up. I believe that Life Lessons and Tales of Little MisFit is a great media and especially book 1 – Life Isn’t Always What It Seems is a good way to explain to grandchildren on Zoom why they can’t visit and give hugs and kisses at this time. It also provides a great way to stay in touch and to share stories with one another during this challenging time. So far it has received almost 40 five star reviews on Amazon and on the London publisher site, Austin Macauley. As a retired coach, college professor and teacher I love working with kids - hope this book will inspire the next generation to realize that it's okay for kids to be who they are and that it's normal to not ALWAYS fit in and they may even decide that they don't want to conform in certain situations. Check out more about me on: www.SkgCreations.com or see book on Amazon or on Goodreads as I am a Goodreads Author. Thanks Dr. S.K. Grunin
Hello! My name is Alexandra Casavant, and I am the author of two (almost three) books. I really enjoy reading a variety of books, but sci-fi is my favorite. I'm an avid writer and wordsmith, and studying communication is my passion. I'm excited to meet and talk with more members!
Hi! I’m Rose Rutkowski and I am the author of two books.
I never wrote before but last summer I went to Svalbard and I wanted to share how amazing it is. My reviewers say I have a gift to transport the reader to new environments. Must have been the way I was always buried in a book when I was a kid. Our house was too small, there were many people and many animals in it, and maybe I transported myself out and escaped to new worlds with reading.
Hi there. I'm Ron Crichton, and I live in Australia. Whilst I don't limit my reading to science fiction, I find it's high on my list of interests. Perhaps not so surprising then that my first book is also a science fiction novel. It's a horror, thriller, adventure story bound up with a good amount of erotica. Well, at least to the extent that people get their clothes off. An unusual mix, perhaps. It's called Alternate Earth which I thought was a good title when writing, but that doesn't tell too much about the content. I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing. You'll have to read it to find out.
