I'm Bill, right now I'm in the Coursera "Write Your First Novel" class through Michigan State University. When I'm not writing I'm editing and when I'm not doing either of those I'm reading or catching up on Netflix. I'm nowhere near being ready to publish yet but I plan to...

Hi, I'm Helen Claire Gould, and I write science fiction, fantasy and the occasional horror story. I have 3 books out so far, Floodtide, The Stallion and She..., and I plan to bring out a further 2 next year. I've been working at them for a while, and when the original novel grew a bit large I decided to split them into two books - as there was a natural stopping-place between parts 2 and 3 of the original book. I also teach people to write and self-publish, and have recently moved my workshops online. I run a spoken word night for fiction authors in Peterborough, UK, where I live, and have also moved that online (now renamed Fiction Fix Online)! I was in the BSFA and Cassandra Orbiters (postal writing workshops) for some years and now offer feedback, editing and proof-reading services. My website (including a companion to the universe I write in) is www.Zarduth.com.
Hi everybody! My name is Sibella, and as you probably guessed, I love to read. I read mostly YA novels and I also review them on my blog https://reviewsofyabooks.blogspot.com/ I'm always looking for new people to discuss books with and I'm looking forward to making some new friends :)
Hello Sibella,I have five novels in print, four of which are 5-stars and are reviewed on Readers' Favorite Reviews. I also enjoy sharing information about different novels, characters and plots. I tend to enjoy novels that have only one or two, no more than three, main characters. "Character clutter" makes a novel difficult to read and comprehend. I dislike "damsels in distress" novels or romance novels where the plot centers on mistaken identity, or men who take women for granted, or vice versa. I prefer a novel where a man and a woman achieve some great goal or overcome some great problem together. What about you? What sorts of novels and plots do you enjoy? I'd be interested in knowing.
Hi Pau,I agree with you about a narrative having fewer characters. My first adventure into crime fiction had nine characters and i really struggled to put things together at the end. I learnt a bitter lesson from the attempt.
Hi Sibella,Thank you for your kind gesture. My debut nonfiction narrative titled The Bee Chase is read in schools. I wonder if you can review it or promote it on your blog. It was released in June, 2018. It describes a very tragic bee chase from where the title of the book was derived, and involving young innocent children on there way to first school.

A woman needing a fresh start. A man with a solution. Sounds simple, right?
Sara’s life has not been easy for the most part. After her mother’s mysterious death, escaping her stepfather, and fleeing an abusive ex, she has decided the only way to feel safe within her life is to change her identity and start over. Easier said than done for a struggling college student. She hears rumors of an experienced attorney who can help with this process and decides to take the chance.
Derek is an experienced and wealthy attorney and is intrigued when he receives an inquiry from Sara. Assisting Sara holds high risks for him but he takes a meeting with her anyway. When he meets the lovely, damaged woman he feels compelled to help her. He offers her a mutually beneficial proposal: She needs an attorney and a fresh start. He needs a ‘girlfriend’ to keep his parents from matchmaking during the social season. He offers her the proposal, will she accept the terms?

Hi All,
I'm the author B.P.Smythe.
At 73years old and retired, I was a former quality engineering technical writer.
I studied engineering at Carshalton College in the UK and eventually became a member of the Institute of Quality Assurance.
My engineering career took on many roles, including a quality engineer and technical writer for an artificial limb manufacturer. However, I always enjoyed putting pen to paper while raising quality manuals and writing reports. I also write tennis articles for my local county magazine, and relax while reading crime and horror fiction. This, coupled with my technical writing career, partly influenced my transition into creative writing.
Wanting to expand my writing knowledge, I obtained a Level 3 / NCFE Certificate / PI410 Creative Writing Diploma.
I've also submitted numerous short stories for internet competitions, winning £100 as first prize for my 'A Rose without a Thorn' for the www.spinetinglerspublishing online magazine competition and winning £50 first prize for my 'We’ll Meet Again' in the http://dark-places.co.uk online magazine competition.
Eight years ago, I self-published his first horror novel, Sow and You Shall Reap http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/145677171X which can be purchased on Amazon in ebook and paperback. Over 6,000 copies sold. In the year 2017, I secured a two-book deal with Bloodhound Books http://www.bloodhoundbooks.com/, which included, From a Poison Pen http://www.amazon.co.uk/Poison-Pen-co.... My second book of short stories From a Poison Pen VOL II has been released and is available on: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poison-Pen-i...
Last year 2019, I released three full length novels – The Medal of Purity www.amazon.co.uk/Medal-Purity-Barry-S... and THE EXPIRED https://www.amazon.co.uk/Expired-Barr... and Then There Were None https://www.amazon.co.uk/Then-There-W...

My name is Jody and I'm working on making my Mother's 101 Birthday special without a party (social distancing), so I started this project. My mother reads at least a book a day, most days so she is fully cognitive and what she asked for this year is 101 Birthday Cards. With the help of my beading friends, last year we gave her 100+ cards that she gets out and reads a couple of times per month at least. With so much lockdown and not socializing this is very hard to get to the 101. One week before her Halloween Birthday (10-31-1919), I have 30 cards (with a few more promises), but I fear I will fall short. The world is different now and we don't see much of any friends.
Would any of you be willing to send a fellow reader a card with a short message? Please send it to my friend's bead shop so this will be a surprise:
Jo McCormack,

(Best friend and bead store I have ever used in a lifetime of beading.). THANKS in advance to anyone that helps me with this!!!
Update on cards toward goal of 101. I now have 42! Sure hope this mail with ballots doesn't delay too many but she will love them even if they are late. Thanks All
My name is Jesse James Bond. I am a few months of editing away from publishing my first novel, "Samaritans," a science-fiction debut.I also have a few short stories available on my Goodreads page. "Screen Tearing" is perhaps a seasonal selection for this year's Halloween.

My mother reads at least a book a dayThat's impressive for anybody at any age! Good on her!
