Best wishes

Hi, I'm a somewhat grumpy thirty-something author and editor based in Cape Town, South Africa. My day-job involves working as a sub-editor for a newspaper and after hours I write and edit genre fiction. My favourite authors include Poppy Z Brite, Storm Constantine, Jacqueline Carey and Neil Gaiman. Khepera Rising, my first novel, was released in December and I'm currently working on three projects: a steampunk fantasy, an urban fantasy novella and an epic fantasy, with research in progress for an alternative history tale set during the Anglo Boer War with strong steampunk elements.
Other than that, I'm starting a rockabilly band, enjoy gardening and play piano accordion very badly.
Hi, My name is Elena Dorothy Bowman and I am a published author. I write in several genres including Science Fiction, Mystery, Romance and the Paranormal. There are two series in the ten books that are published. In the Sarah's Landing Series, there are four novels; the Legacy Series, there are three novels, and three novels are stand alones by that I mean they belong only to themselves not to any series. Thank you.
Hi, I'm Milton Davis, a full time chemist and part-time sci-fi and fantasy writer. I have two books currently available, Meji Book One and Meji Book Two. Both books are Sword and Soul novels, a subgenre of Sword and Sorcery created by Charles R. Saunders. You can read more about them at my website, http://www.mvmediaatl.com/. I'll post cover art and more info soon. I have a few reviews on Goodreads as well. Thanks for the time and opportunity.

My name is Andrea Escaffi-James and I have to say that I enjoy this website immensely. I am a teacher, a writer, and an avid reader. Someday I hope to be a published author. I love reading the recommendations and seeing what everybody else ejoys and has to say about books. It is a nice site dedicated to reading good books. I'm glad to be here.
We're glad to have you here, Andrea. Can I come out of the naughty corner now, Miss? :)
Welcome to 2010! I am reintroducing myself, Ilene Fine, and my books, BRANDY AND VAL, REAL DOGS WITH REAL TALES. These board books for toddlers entertain and delight children through simple tales about my two shelter dogs. Real, unstaged photos of the dogs in action and brightly colored pages captivate children’s attentions as they read about how the pups spend their day, what their favorite things are and how they were adopted. Children can interact with plush toys that look like Brandy and Val as they learn about topics like friendship, caring for pets and being a family among others. Parents can feel good knowing they are helping animal rescues through their purchase of a Brandy and Val book and toy and they have a product their children will have fun playing with. Please spread the word and visit our website http://www.BrandyandVal.com and follow us on Facebook http://www.facebook/brandyandval
Wow, what a great group! I look forward to getting involved in the discussions; for now, I'll introduce myself. I'm Zuzana - just call me Z - and I've always been an avid reader, mainly of highly creative fiction; I love fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, horror, satire, and the list goes on. I've also been a writer and editor for years, mostly "for other people." I have 13 chapters of a sci-fi novel gathering dust until I can find the time to finish the mad-scientist process of making words appear on paper that match the visions in my head.
In the meantime, I've just published a nonfiction work about my other obsession, movies. It's called A BOOK FULL OF MOVIES YOU MAY NOT HAVE SEEN, and I've posted it on the nonfiction bookshelf.
Glad to meet you all! Hope we'll soon be fast friends!
Cheers,
Z
Hi Everybody. It is great to be here among such talented writers. I would love it if you became a fan of Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace on Facebook! I love to write, and I look forward to getting back into it soon. Currently, I am reading Outliers. Love it.
Huge hello and welcome to Ilene, Zuzana and Dianne. Please go forth and wander through the groups and join in the banter. There is a wealth of info here that'll make your head spin.

Hello, I'm U.L. Harper author of The Flesh Statue. This seems like such a simple idea for a thread and has so much potential. Thanks. Can't wait to get started.
Hi all,I have just managed to get through this thread and wow, it seems like we have a great group of people here!
So about me, I love to read, always have and I suspect always will. I'll read pretty much anything, I like to keep an open mind about things.
The new year saw me create a blog where I review books and hold author interviews - very very early stages at the moment but I hope it will progress nicely.
In fact I have two interviews coming up with two members of this group, Lisa Lipkind Leibow and U.L. Harper - hope you all check them out once they're up.
The two dogs you see in my avi are my pride and joy, two gorgeous labradors who give out lots of love.
Look forward to chatting with you all,
Mandy

Hi gang, I'm John C. Stipa from Virginia. I did a lot of reading before I started to write. Mostly John Sandford and Patricia Cornwell stuff. To be truthful, I love Dan Brown type novels, but am frustrated that he never developes any love interest between the lead characters. I'm also a big fan of Indiana Jones, National Treasure, the TV show LOST and the computer game MYST (crap! did I just date myself?) lol. Anyway, now you know where the motivation came from for me to write No Greater Sacrifice, an adventure, mystery, romance novel that combines my favorite elements of the above into a Saturday afternoon at the movies that's crammed between 2 covers. Looking forward to meeting many of you. http://www.amazon.com/No-Greater-Sacr...

I'm a self-proclaimed Goddess of Nothing Important who has been writing on the Internet for over 15 years. (amazing world isn't it?) Though I am prone to occasional soap-box oratory, my passion is story telling.
A writer and lover of the written word my entire life, the Empty Nest Syndrome has afforded me precious time to tell stories!
I currently have novels and short stories available on Kindle and Smashwords.
They are Adult Content Contemporary Romances (tssss) and you can see more about them and me here:
