Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hey guys,My name is Roger. I accidentally became an author after a series of misadventures in Ecuador, where I got arrested, fell in love, and... well it's a long story. By the end of it I found I needed to write about the whole thing.
I grew up in Australia. but left in search of adventure. You can see the sorts of things I discovered on my blog: https://rogerkeays.com
My name is Chad Descoteaux and I'm not sure if i already introduced myself here whdn i joined Goodreads.Either way, I am a forgetful, mildly autistic science fiction author whose books are available through the Amazon Kindle and www.turtlerocketbooks.com
Author, trail runner, fly fisherman, skier, seeker of greater understandingCheck out my books on www.jwnorthrup.com
I'm Q K Carpenter. In a past life, I was a dour, pretentious writer trying to impress academics, but I've finally embraced how much I love stories that have big plot twists, fun banter, and appropriately steamy love stories, all of which show up in my debut romance novel, A Skylight Mirror.I'm new to this author game, so any and all advice you'd like to offer, I'd happily take.
My name is Billy McCoy and I enjoy reading and writing. All People's Lives Matter by Billy McCoy

This book has NOTHING to do with taking sides on any social issue or protest movement, it is simply a story of a young woman whose good intentions collide with harsh reality, and she must figure out how to recover.

This is in fact a great story and I'm shocked that the author has to defend himself against charges of being for or against any protest. The title is very misleading and ample people's feeling unnecessarily.

I read this wonderful story and the title is misleading, nothing to with being for or against anything at all!

Hello! How do you do? :)My name is Lauren Isabelle Pierre. I’m a self-taught illustrator who loves writing books for kids! Currently all of my titles are independently-published and can be found here: goodreads.com/laurenpierrebooks and here: amazon.com/author/laurenpierre.
As a reader, my favorite genre so far is middle-grade, usually stories that are realistic, humorous, or contain light fantasy, or all three, if it's possible. And of course, as an artists (and author of such!), I adore picture books, graphic novels/comics.
Writing is definitely learning curve (especially at my age) and a lot of work, but it's also very rewarding and so much fun! I love telling stories and creating characters, and I can't wait to share more of my stories with the world!
Lauren :)

Hi Everyone!I'm Karen Van de Water, author of The Cancer Card, Dealing with a Diagnosis..... it's part memoir, part self help - hoping to reach out to others grappling with a diagnosis.
Mine was lung cancer - non smoker, in 40's, no family history.... it's happening a lot more than I ever was aware.... every 2.5 minutes someone is diagnosed with lung cancer.
It's my first attempt at writing.... the book was just awarded a Shelf Unbound Top 100 Notable Indie book for 2016 - which I'm both surprised of, and grateful for......

My first book will be released this month. Now I can start reading other authors! I have a huge list. When I work on a manuscript I cannot read others because I fall in love with the
voice and want to imitate it. I am looking forward to reading books from this website.
