Elvisa (sacredlove) | 25 comments Hi everyone.I lovereading about allofyour journeys. I have an unconventional question. Would you guys be interasted in sharing a free PDF file of your manuscript with readers in return for an honest review? I know there are websites that do that but you have to pay to post your title.

I would be interested in participating. My book has been published since March 2015 but I've struggled to get people who have read it to post reviews on Amazon or Goodreads. I'm willing to read someone else's work and post an honest review. It helps to know what the genre is before reviewing.

Darcy Leech | 5 comments I'm Darcy Leech, author of From My Mother releasing with eLectio Publishing in April 2016. I'm a first time author currently reading Goodreads for Authors and trying to live it!

You can check out my author page at http://darcyleech.com, or https://www.facebook.com/darcyleechau...

A non-fiction memoir in the narrative medicine genre, From My Mother may be of interest to you! Blurb:
Riveting, soulful, and courageously told, From My Mother is a meditation on grief, family, genetic disease and also a deeply personal account of the narrator’s coming-of-age amid medical crisis and tragedy to carry on the lessons from her mother to raise her young son. A story of loss, From My Mother is full of life, a story of beginnings as much as endings, a moving book that transforms suffering into art and inspiration. Darcy Leech was born to Jo Lyn Bartz, a mother who carried myotonic muscular dystrophy, a disease 1 in 8500 suffer from. Jo Lyn’s son, Dustin Ryan Bartz, was born with congenital muscular dystrophy with a high enough frequency of protein repeat mutations that of his 13 years of life, every day defied prior medical knowledge. Leech narrates a moving meditation of the enduring mysteries of what dormant harbingers of genetic disease may lurk within, the surprising possibilities in loss, and the deep resilience of the human spirit as the body weakens.

The narrative highlights the relationship between diseased mother and healthy daughter, revealing Jo Lyn as a woman of strength, a caretaker who quietly marched toward her own degenerative weakness, someone grappling for identity while ostracized by an invisible disease, and a resilient spirit who endured holding the child who inherited her genetic misfortune as he took his last breath. From My Mother is the honest story of finding joy through loss, living fully within limitations, and the universal struggle of grappling for identity against the device of innate genetic code through invested love and personal choice. From My Mother leaves the reader pondering the value of genetic testing, the beauty in a disease easy to accept as genetic fault, and the heart wrenching question of when life should be sustained by machine or ended by choice.

Suzanne Lilly (suzanne_lilly) Hello! I'm Suzanne Lilly, and I'm an author and reader. I love historical fiction, and psychological thrillers, especially if they're set in the past. Sacha Haughtee | 6 comments Hi everyone, I'm Sacha Haughtee. I didn't plan to ever write a book, it just happened. I met this nice older gentleman client (Max), and he introduced me to the first girl that I ever played with (Little Lisa). I said something during our date that he thought was too funny. He told some buddies. They told him is was the funniest thing they'd ever heard. This is how Chapter 9 of our first book happened. We dedicated the book to Little Lisa. It is a true story.

I wrote this book to dispel the myths about escorts, and to tell my own story. The title is: "ESCORT - The True Story of an Orange County Call Girl" by: Sacha Haughtee and Max Spacer

Here's my favorite excerpt:

"If only I knew at the time that this day would be the point of no return, that once a girl crosses certain moral and personal boundaries, there's no going back."

Book Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance, Memoir, Erotic, non-fiction, novel-length, true story, dual narrators, sexual self-discovery.

Length: 429 pages in print, approximately 115,000 words.

Notes and disclaimers regarding content: adult-themed content and language, explicit sex scenes, M/F mostly, some M/F/F, prostitution, daddy-complex, and some fetish activities.

You can read the first three chapters at the FREE Preview on CreateSpace:

Hi Everybody, My name is Vanda. I publish only under my first name, Vanda. I never use my last name except when you have to fill in all the pesky little boxes on a computer form. To satisfy the last name box I write Neveruseit. I've actually been addressed by that name.

I've been writing since I was 14 and besides my partner it is the most important thing to me. Right now I'm writing a series of books with the same characters based on LGBT folks living New York City beginning 1941.

I'm also a psychology professor, but I wish I could start phasing that out and write full-time. Not possible now, but isn't that what most of us dream.

I'm happy to be a part of a group that loves good writing. Vanda

Andre LeMagne | 2 comments My name is Andre LeMagne. I write erotica that aspires to be literary. There are some books that I have read -- John Updike's Brazil comes to mind -- that have convinced me that such a thing is possible.

My new novella, Dead In The Water, will be released at Smashwords on January 10. It is an erotic thriller set in Venice, Italy, historically a hotbed of intrigue, espionage, assassination, financial corruption, and sex. There is a master criminal with disturbing sexual proclivities, a multinational team of investigators, a couple of overheated heiresses, and a lovely young Romanian artist.

I have also released a book of poetry, written in both sonnet form, and in blank or free verse.

E. Lavelle | 3 comments Hello, my name is Niecy Lavelle and I recently published my first romance Desiring the Enemy. It is a steamy (not erotica) story of love, betrayal, and second chances. I have always enjoyed novels in which the protagonists try to restrain their desires but invariably succumb to them and that is the style of writing that I feel most comfortable with. I hope my readers enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Dan Pullen Hello, my name is Inigo Monto - whoops! Reflex! Hello, my name is Dan Pullen. This is my first attempt at joining a Goodreads discussion group. I'm a bit hesitant because I hate selling myself, it feels disingenuous in a way, or something. But if I'm going to sell books I guess it's something I have to just get over, so here goes!

I've published one book so far, a collection of humor memories about my awkward love life. It's called Short Stories About A Nerd In Love Short Stories About A Nerd In Love I've been told it's funny, which is good because that was the intention. I wrote it within the WriteOn by Kindle community, which is an amazing resource for authors, and it was selected as a featured Staff Pick.

Anyway, thanks for reading this, hopefully this breaks the Goodreads ice for me and I can wade into the waters with some cool authors and readers and have a good time!

Mary Buras-Conway (maryeconway) | 176 comments Hi Vincent,
My name is Mary Conway. My first novel was released on September 16, 2015. The title is A Temptation. It is a contemporary romance. Very edgy. Dark, but not erotica. It is very descriptive. It is listed under Mary E. Buras- Conway.
Now that I have been published, I am trying to get my name out there. My title out there. It is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble,
Google Play, and Apple I-Tunes. But until my name is known-my title known- it is the luck of the draw that people will see the information and purchase it.
So I am trying to help it along. I have joined Goodreads, have a dashboard, and my first giveaway just ended on Dec. 31, 2015. I have made myself available on this site and now I have joined the Round Table. (By the way, I am so happy how the giveaway went. It was fun following it and I am getting ready to send out the books to the winners.)
It is uncomfortable trying to sell myself. But I have come to realize that is precisely what I have to do.
Besides writing I love to read. I read everything, and very fast. I always have a book when I am finished everything else I have to do that day. It is nothing for me to read three books a week. I have a long list of favorite authors.
The reason why I told you this is because I can say that A Temptation is good. Not because I wrote it, but because I am such a voracious reader. I will also admit that my writing style needs work, but I figure that will come in time.
A Temptation is the first book in my Discover Trilogy. I am in the process of sending the second instalment-Possession-to my publisher. Page Publishing.
I hope that this posting will encourage people who like this genre to read my book. As of right now I have not heard anything negative from the people who have already read it. All comments have been great.
I am going to include the introduction on the back of A Temptation below. But before I do that, I want to ask you Vincent if you know anything else I can do to promote my book? Also I want to thank you for the Round Table. It is great to have an outlet to go to discuss writers worries, fears, and hopes.

India Leigh is a twenty-four-year-old author from Louisiana. She has never been in love before, has never had sex, and has never had the desire for either. . . until she meets Kellan Coventry.
Kellan Coventry is an enigmatic, gorgeous man. A millionaire from New York. He owns a lot of real estate and his company, Coventry Technology. He has never been in love, but as far as sex goes, he and India are worlds apart. He's into BDSM.
When they come together, things change for both of them. But can two people so far apart in ideals be everything for each other?
