Tia | 13 comments Hi everyone, my name is Tia and I'm both a writer and a reader. I have varied tastes in books to read. Right now I'm reading Nietzsche. Tomorrow I could be reading Agatha Christie.

I am the author of one book, 'When Study Goes Wrong'. It is an exploration of outcomes for graduates unable to find work in their field of study. It's based on my experience as a law graduate and I interviewed other graduates about their own experiences.

I have finished writing my second book which is a non-fiction travel narrative focused on Greece. It is in the pre-publication process and should be out early 2016. Lovely to meet you all!

Tracy | 10 comments Hi! I'm Tracy Lawson, author of Counteract and Resist, the first two books in my YA dystopic Resistance Series. Before I transitioned into writing, I taught dance for 20 years, and still choreograph a couple musicals each year for middle and high schools.

I'd love to connect with bloggers and lovers of YA dystopia.

Pearl Barfield | 1 comments Hello Vincent,
My pen name is Jeanette Bell. The novel I am attempting now is my first. It "bubbled up" inside me after someone I knew committed suicide. I have been working on it for about a year and the outcome will be different.
I have no idea how to go about even finding an agent (although my son is a writer and has an agent and he says his agent will help). I just wanted to join this group and see what it is all about.
The novel I am writing could possible have a couple of sequels because of sub plots. We'll see.
I'm excited about joining this group and will check out the comments daily.

My students in the Arts program I developed at an assisted living facility inspired me to write my book. I believe it's silly when books exclude sex as a normal activity of their characters. Well rounded characters have sex and that doesn't make the work erotica. You can click my pic here and find my books on my author page. Just yesterday I made my first book free to entice new readers to the series. Maginaugh

Jason | 1 comments Hello everyone and Happy Holidays.

My name is Jason McLeod. I am a paranormal expert, demonologist, clairsentient and an empath. I've worked for and with the pioneers of the modern paranormal investigation craze - Ed & Lorraine Warren since 1990 when I was just entering college.

I travel the country lecturing and selling my debut 467-page novel, 'Dark Siege: A Connecticut Family's Nightmare' and the 385-page sequel, 'Dark Siege 2: The Nightmare Returns.'

The books reveal the most fascinating and frightening REAL case of demonic Infestation, Oppression and Possession I have ever personally investigated. The books are written in a cinematic, true crime, horror novel format. What makes the books completely unique are the detailed 100-page Chapter Analyses Sections at the end of both volumes. In these sections, I explain my beliefs and experiences working with the Warrens. I also compare and contrast all of the activity contained within each chapter to very other well-documented cases. I explain what the family involved did right and wrong and how other people have dealt with this type of activity. Additionally, I explain the science and spirituality behind the paranormal through an easy to understand explanation of Quantum Physics, The Universal Laws of Attraction, Intention, Conscious Manifestation and Vibration.

My books sell like hotcakes at the many paranormal conventions I attend throughout the year and online. 'Dark Siege: A Connecticut Family's Nightmare' was the #1 best seller in Occultism, Supernatural and Ghosts and Haunted Houses Categories for most of the month of April this past year due to my appearance on Coast to Coast AM and for the entire second half of last October when Bishop James Long was on Coast to Coast AM praising my books. Both books are required reading for Bishop Long's Demonology Course.

Both books in the Dark Siege Series can be found at www.darksiege.com, libraries and retailers.

I spend far too much time promoting, advertising and networking at events throughout the country. It would much easier if I actually had an agent or publicist and/or a major publisher who would handle everything else for me so I could focus on writing.

I have two new releases planned: 'Our Journey Home: Guiding Spirits Into the Light' and 'Rage In Rathdrum.'

If anyone would like to converse with me or to offer any advice or suggestions, I very much encourage you to reach out to me at jasonmcleodtx@aol.com

Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Jason McLeod

Tammy Bailey (tammylbailey) | 13 comments Hello.

My name is Tammy L. Bailey. It's nice to have this forum and read what everyone is writing.

Me? I write romance, and my first debut novel, Lord Bachelor, will be out on December 7, 2015. On the 26th of this month, I will be running a giveaway on Goodreads, so if you like a little bit of Classic (Jane Austen) mixed with a little fairy tale magic, you can sign up to win a signed copy.

Personally, I would love to stay home all day and write more, but I work full-time where my day starts at 5:30 a.m. and I'm not usually home until almost 6 p.m. So, I fit writing in between dinner, homework, and movie nights. Sometimes this is at 2 in the morning...when everyone has gone to bed or when my characters won't let me fall asleep.

Thanks for allowing me to share my story. If you'd like, you can visit me at www.tammylbailey.com.

I'm Gian Kumar. I'm a spiritual author. A thinker by nature, the inherent confusion and dogmas underlying religion, gradually impelled him towards spirituality. Today, I'm deeply grateful for a journey filled with opportunities to learn about existential riddles such as: Who am I? What is my purpose in life? Is God an illusion? I hope to share my own experiential learnings with others through the medium of my books.

Samyah Leighton (samleighton) | 7 comments Hello everyone, my name is Samyah Leighton. I'm a self published author. I write Erotic Romance. Since I was a young girl I've been a lover of romance stories. I first started writing around eight or nine, creating short love stories. When I got into my teens I began writing poetry for a several years and I loved it but I always wanted to write a novel. In my mid-twenties I finally decide to do it and I wrote several before I felt confident enough to write one I wanted to publish.

My debut novel, Deceived, of my Redemption Series was published last year on Amazon. Since then I've written my second novel in the series, Revealed, and it's to be released in February. I'm currently writing the third book in the series.

Beside writing I love to read, genre doesn't matter it just needs to catch my attention.

C.S. Bower Hi, I'm Carolyn: avid reader, new writer. I love historical fiction, contemporary literature, crime drama, and cheesy romance. I live in beautiful North Vancouver, Canada where I like to eat dark salted chocolates and hide from the rain.

I've just published my debut novel Whisky in a Teacup, the story of a young widow who follows her heart into a new adventure beyond the highlands in the far North of Scotland. Writing is my way of living vicariously through my characters, hence the hot kilted men and barrels of whisky in my first book.

I hate people touching my throat or water when it drips down my sleeve. Chalk upsets me. If I could have one super power it would be to speak every language in the world. I believe in random acts of kindness, Pluto as a planet, the oxford comma, and the perfect cup of tea. If you do too, we'll probably get along just fine. Nice to meet you! www.csbower.com

B.S. Gibbs (bsgibbs) | 6 comments Hi,

I am excited to be self-publishing my first novel, "The Peerless Seer", which is the first book in a fantasy/contemporary series entitled the "Emaleen Andarsan Series." The paperback is coming out in the next week or two on Amazon.com. It will also be available as an eBook.

The series is targeted toward teens and pre-teens, but I am hoping that it will also be enjoyed by adults. The main character in the story, Emaleen, came to me in a dream.

My two children, a 9 year old boy and an 11 year old girl, are working on this project with me as creative assistants. They have contributed feedback and ideas for the story and the writing. It has been the subject of many discussions on car rides to school and other activities. It has been fun working on the story with my children. I hope that readers will enjoy the story as much as we enjoyed creating it.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

My favorite type of fiction to read is historical fiction, period novels, classic English literature (Jane Austen), fantasy and anything having to do with King Arthur.

I look forward to being a member of the Goodreads community.
