D. Snyder | 4 comments Greetings, I've recently jumped genres, mediums, and business models by transitioning from writing comic books to writing novels. I've gone from working with a small traditional publisher to an even smaller publisher--myself.

I consider myself a science fiction author, because that is the genre that I most enjoyed growing up, but I try to write for broader appeal by having the science part be accessible.

My first novel, The Cookie Caper, is set in a world where cell phones are implanted in people's heads but only because they're that much easier to use. It is the first in a series that portrays an all too plausible future, but mainly focuses on the people who live in it.

CW Hawes | 1 comments Hi everyone!

I'm CW Hawes. For many years I wrote poetry and some of the 1000 poems published may still be found out there on the 'net. I'm slowly putting poems no longer "visible" on my website: http://www.cwhawes.com/my-poetry/.

I love to read. Mostly fiction these days. Sci-fi, Dieselpunk and steampunk, mysteries, pulp era fiction, horror are favorite genres. Favorite authors include Anthony Trollope, Kazuo Ishiguro, Robert E Howard, HP Lovecraft, Rex Stout.

In January of this year, I retired from nearly 30 years of human services work. I'm looking forward to meeting new people here who will become friends for many years to come.

In November '14 I published my first 4 novels and in December followed up with 2 more. I have a new novel which should see virtual print by the end of the month and another next month, with 3 more in progress which will hopefully be out by year's end.

You can see my novels on my website: http://www.cwhawes.com/my-novels/. You can also find them on my Amazon author page: amazon.com/author/cwhawes .

The Rocheport Saga is a post-apocalyptic series. The Morning Star and The Shining City are currently out. Book 3, Love is Little, should be out in May '15.

Justinia Wright, PI is a private eye series about sister and brother team Justina and Harry Wright. The setting is in Minneapolis, MN. 10,000 lakes and lutefisk dinners. Two book are out: Festival of Death and Trio in Death-Sharp Minor. A third should be out by the end of the year.

From the Files of Lady Dru Drummond is a dieselpunk series set in a 1950s alternative history. The inspiration for Lady Dru came from Lady Grace Hay Drummond-Hay, the famous Hearst reporter of the '20s and '30s. The Moscow Affair is the first book in the series. The second, The Golden Fleece Affair, should be out by 30 April.

Do One Thing For Me is a psychological horror novella. Hopefully later this year I can get out a short story collection of macabre tales.

My Goodreads page is here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

I'm also on Twitter @cw_hawes

I'm very much looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can. Retirement is a blast and I just gotta share the joy!

Easton Livingston (eastonlivingston) | 1 comments Well, I suppose it is time for me to come out from under my proverbial shell here.

My name is Easton Livingston. I'm a reader as well as a novelist. I write science fiction with an unabashed focus on superhero-type tales as well as fantasy and the supernatural. My works currently are a series of short stories called The Dark Corner of which three are released: The Visitor, The Forest, and The Gift. Two more forthcoming. All are free either at my website, EastonLivingston.com , Amazon (well...not free here), Smashwords, Apple iBooks, Kobo, or Barnes & Nobles.

I'm an indie author and publisher like many, slowly building my business, platform, and brand. Since my time is limited, I'm looking for a group for support, tips, and just good banter.

As far as my reading I like...well...superhero fiction (go figure huh?) and fantasy as well as political and psychological thrillers.

Well, that is most certainly enough about me. Thanks for the forum. God bless.

Kadambari Kaul | 2 comments Hello Vincent !

Thanks for starting this wonderful club for authors/readers!

I am Kadambari Kaul, an author whose paperback version of the book the 'Brihadaaranyaka, the Great Upanishad - Understanding Brahman and the Ultimate Reality' has recently been released on www.amazon.com and www.amazon.in. The digital version of the book is currently available on Nook Books Barnes and Noble, www.amazon.com, www.amazon.in, www.amazon.fr, www.amazon.nl, amongst the other amazon websites. The book is also available on the various Kobo websites.

My earlier books ' Verses from the Dhammapada' and ' Gautama Buddha - A Noble Life' are also available on the Amazon websites amongst several others. Shall post the details to you.

Would be wonderful if the members could review the pb or digital version of the Brihadaaranayaka Upanishad that is available on the aforementioned websites.

The Brihadaaranyaka has been published by Leadstart Publishing under their Celestial Books imprint. The book deals with the ultimate issues of life and death - the beginning and end of all things of this world, the nature of the Ultimate Reality or God, karma and transmigration, death and the afterlife, and final emancipation.

Writing the numerous verses and commentaries of this book has been a sort of meditative exercise. Anyway, life goes on silently.....

Look forward to being part of this wonderful community!

Kadambari Kaul

Kadambari Kaul | 2 comments Hi Vincent and all members, I am Kadambari Kaul, an author whose two books 'Gautama Buddha - A Noble Life' and the 'Brihadaaranyaka - the Great Upanishad - Understanding Brahman and the Ultimate Reality' are already up on the website.

Well, I love reading and writing. In fact, my day begins reading a book on religion and spirituality, followed by contemplation on what I've read. Write poetry too in my inspired moments and find it a very therapeutic exercise.

Would love to interact with readers/authors on this forum.

Cheers ! Kadambari

Hello! I'm Sarah and world-building is my hobby. I write about the world I have been building for almost a decade now. Recently I have self-published How to Stop Wildfire, which is a story set in this science-fiction/fantasy-esque world. I also have a blog about my writing here: http://www.thespineoftheempire.com/

I also love watching TV and movies. I don't actually read that much science-fiction or fantasy; just history and non-fiction mostly.

Its exciting being a part of this group!

Also, here is my website: The Girl and the Book.

Sharon Feola | 1 comments Hello. My name is Shay, and I am female and 70 something. I am also an avid reader of mystery/thrillers. My one pet peeve is authors who believe they can NOT write or sell a book without graphic sexual situations and/or foul language. I read for the thrill of the chase, the satisfction of solving the case before I get to the end of the story. I also like to pass my books on to my teenaged grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
