Hi my name is Faye.I love to read all kinds of books.
I am 43 years old and my husband is 72. We have a fifteen year old daughter.
I work third shift at an answering service and I'm a class manager at Jazzercise.
Hello everyone! My name is Tawnee. I'm 25 years old. I'm currently studying for my master's degree in English, which I should be receiving this spring. :D I'm a voracious reader of all sorts of genres. If your book is intriguing and written well, it doesn't matter what genre it is, although I do have a preference for fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and mystery. :)
Just recently, I published my first book on Amazon, a fantasy novel. It's called A Thief's Honor. It's my dream to one day have one of my books become a bestseller. Even if it takes me my entire life, I'm determined to realize that dream someday. :)
Hi Everyone, My name is Crystal S. Kauffman and I am a new author. I would love to know what you think of my book. I am currently writing another book, as well. I enjoy writing Christian Fiction for teens and adults. Ana's Stand is about a Ana's journey dealing with bullies, overcoming, and taking a stand against it. Let her inspire you!

Welcome Elar, Erus, Faye, Tawnee, and Crystal! For those of you who I just welcomed, I like to read and write Christian fantasy, so I have something in common with a couple of you. I will check out your book, Tawnee.

That's easy to do if you're a member of Goodreads.

Hi everyone, my name is Eden and I'm an author, which kind of sounds like I'm joining a therapy group - 'just one paragraph at a time'.I write hardboiled tech thrillers and also teach fiction writing and publishing at SSU.
My favourite authors are Andrew Vachss, Michael Connolly, Barry Eisler, Lee Child, Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler.
I write a badass female protagonist called Angela McGlynn.

Thanks Victoria! Some of my best friends are books!
Hello! I'm Lorena Angell, self-published author of "The Unaltered" series (YA fantasy/metaphysical). I uploaded A Diamond in My Pocket (book one), in 2011 to see if unbiased readers felt my writing held any promise. I couldn't get a single bite from agents to let me know otherwise. Fast-forward four years and four books later, three of the books have hit #1 on Amazon and I've had a quarter of a million downloads across 39 countries. However, the most exciting news is A Diamond in My Pocket is now being optioned for film! I'm happy to be a member of this group. I'm excited to network with both beginning and experienced authors and to find readers who might enjoy my work. =)

Thanks. I wouldn't be where I am without my readers!
Donna wrote: "Hi! My name is Donna and I am just a reader. I wished I could write, but that is not my talent. I thank you for inviting me to this group."Donna, you're an amazing reader! Quite a collection of books!
Hello! Sorry to bother but I was hoping you guys could check out my group. I need more people and hope to get it as active as it washttps://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
If your interested in paranormal fiction then this is the best place for an rp

Hi, I'm Chris (writing as CJ). I've been loitering in the shadows here a few weeks, apprehensive to poke my head above the parapet.I'm just publishing my third book tonight and still consider myself a novice. I completed my first book last year which is a curious romance / coming of age story of a trans teen but I'm currently 2/3 through a dark fantasy trilogy.
I'll not bang on about the stories, the details are here if anyone fancies peeking.

I'm just breaking out of Kindle select to investigate Nook, Kobo, iBooks et al and would love to know how others fared.
Here is the official video trailer for Book 2 of my trilogy, just published ...http://bit.ly/1ExOi3k
Pretty corny, eh? It's supposed to suck in the touchy-feely romance novel crowd, so I can tie them up and torture them.
I'm Rosetta Overman, I'm 22 and live in the eastern part of the United States. I mostly write Fantasy and Paranormal novels with a touch of romance, but I enjoy pushing the limits of my imagination and creative abilities by delving into other genres as well. When I'm not writing, which is quite rare, I work on editing my work and marketing my self-published novels, When It Rains and Firestorm.
Welcome to the group, Chris, Christopher, John, and Rosetta!Chris: I publish via Smashwords, and they distribute for me. I did also publish on Amazon for a while, but ended up deciding not to bother any more (I have a reason, but won't bore you with the details). Anyway, my sales have never been amazing, but while I never sold a single book on Amazon, I've always had a steady trickle of sales through Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, plus the odd sale now and then from Apple iBooks.
I am John Rachel, author of "The Man Who Loved Too Much" trilogy."The Billy Green saga is a challenging, sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic, always unpredictable journey.
He was determined to find meaning in life and comfort in love."

Hi All ;-)Hi Victoria, I did run with Smashwords when I launched my first book but I sold one via them as opposed to 20 on Amazon so I went into Kindle Select. Needless to say, I've gone back to Smashwords; Kindle Select was good to give books away and reasonable for discounting my books but regular price sales didn't seem to warrant the exclusivity they insist on. :-/
Hello everyone :)My name is Brittney and I'm a preschool teacher. Of course writing and books are my passions. Currently, I have a novel coming out on March 30th. It will be released on the writing platform Channillo. The title is, "Nightmare Chronicles" and it will be updated weekly on every Friday. You can find it here: Nightmare Chronicles To read, you can subscribe, much like paying for a book on amazon. :)
Besides that, I also enjoying blogging:

I look forward to befriending many of the members here. I'm not very social online and I'm trying to put myself out there more to meet new friends and such. :)

I mean, I've heard of people who - like you - get most of their sales via Amazon, and people who get most from other retailers, and still others who say it's about 50/50.
So, I guess all we can do is sell with whoever we want, and cross our fingers that our attempts at marketing are successful!
