D. D. is now D. D. Story - D. D. StoryA new year a new me…
So to speak. I was wondering where my Apple I Book sales had gone, and now I know. Apple has decided that they will no longer publish digital books where the author uses a Pen-Name that is on initials. (i.e. D. D.). Somewhere along the way, I missed that announcement, but now that I know about it, it quickly became decision time.
Do I keep my Pen-Name as it is and walk away from the Apple I-book and I-pad users portion of the market. (Which, needless to say, is not a small portion of the market for digital media market.) To make that change is not a small project or an easy fix. In fact it requires that every where that it mentions D. D. as the author in every book that I have published has to be changed. New or revised covers, revised title and copy write pages for each book, and revised Bio’s, About the Author, and Coming Soon pages within in each manuscript. Plus changes to Author Pages for publishers and or distributors that I use, as well and account changes.
Well the short answer to the long question is “YES” D. D. is becoming D. D. Story as I write this. I am hard at work making the changes, and soon you should see my books under the name of D. D. Story, and since I have the opportunity, some are also getting a fresh new look as well. It is sort of exciting, as it is almost like I am getting re-launch my career as an author.
I will endeavor to keep all of my readers as informed as possible as books are published under my new pen-name. Keep watching my web-site http://www.suzy-q-stories.net as well as my blog http://www.ddsbooksblog.blogspot.com for both my D. D. Story Page Blog, or my Suzy Q. Stories Publishing Blog. I also will be setting up a new Google page for D. D. Story, which of course will link to my existing D. D. pages.
No but I can't stop reading them. I live in constant dread at the thought that physical books will one day be completely replaced by e books. In fact i had a nightmare where the floor of my house was sinking/collapsing and the book shelves were teetering over a widening abyss with books beginning to fall off the shelves and into said abyss.

I do like your book, or at least the description, but I couldn't find it on Amazon. I have a Kindle.
My name is Tom, and I pretend to be an author. I suppose I actually am a writer, because I keep doing it. It actually turns out that I'm pretty prolific when I want to be, since I'm writing faster than my editor is editing, but that might not say much about me.As for what I write, it's as schizophrenic as people think I am. My first book was adventure/satire, the next one (the one being edited) will be lit fic/sci-fi, and the one after that will be fantasy/spiritual/lit fic. I just wanted to let people know right away with the first few books that I was going to write whatever tickled my fancy and that they shouldn't get used to any one genre. Whether or not that becomes my undoing, we'll see.
Hello Vincent! Wow, the longer I'm with Goodreads the more I find. I am a drama teacher with extensive experience teaching second through twelfth graders in Colorado. In addition, I direct theatrical productions with adults and children alike. Recently, I wrote and published my first MG book, Bumbling Bea which is of course listed with Goodreads. I am so excited to find this group as my life, although very busy, makes for isolation since we live way up in the Rocky Mountains. It's tough to find other writers of the same kindred spirit--that of writing for middle grade students. I'm hoping that I will make new friends and learn a bunch. Thanks.
Hi! I'm RA Winter, I write romance books when I'm not working. I work long hours during tax season so you won't hear a lot from me from December to May of each year! I used to write genealogy reference books but a love for romance intruded. I like to learn so I always add unknown information to my books. Currently I'm writing about Native Americans in a contemporary romance setting. I highlight their struggles of finding themselves and integrating their heritage into everyday life.

Welcome to the group Beth! Glad you decided to share your writing. I am a medical transcriptionist by day and writer by night, so I can relate.
