Hi folks,I'm returning to Goodreads after a brief absence so please excuse me if I am introducing myself twice ;-)
Happily discovered I was already a member here!
Hope everyone is well, looking forward to reading a few discussions between manic typing out of story ideas ;-)
Paul.
Hi new to Goodreads, new to this group, and a newly published author. Complete introvert, so promoting myself is very painful but new to that too so small baby steps at a time. Hi to everyone in the group

Hi, also new to Goodreads, and a newly self-published author. I'm also new at this whole marketing thing, so I'm scouring the web looking for help and advice. I've seen some other authors plug their book, so I'll do a quick plug of mine here too. It's a dark, epic fantasy novel with the unusual setting of a stone-age culture modeled loosely after the Native Americans of the northwest coast of North America. Here's the link.Looking forward to exploring this forum and Goodreads in general.
Hi everyone! My names is Alex James, I am the author of three books, with several more on the way. Amazon Seven - Book One: Mission Queen This is my latest release. I am very keen to get some advice on a few things from other authors more experienced with this site, and happy to chat when I am not working on my books. I also hope to meet a few contemporaries! Cheers!
Hello everyone, I'm very pleased to be here. I had no idea Goodreads had groups! Call me 'wet behind the ears.' I write novels and short stories, and the occasional non-fiction piece. My work has appeared in e-journals in Australia and America. My first novel, Asylum, will be released in mid-February in e-book format. https://isobelblackthorn.wordpress.co... My second, The Drago Tree, has been taken up by Odyssey Books for publication later this year. My writing is witty, sharp, moving, black at times. Readers of my short stories and my memoir, Lovesick, tell me they love my writing, which is all the endorsement I need to keep going. Looking forward to getting to know people here. Thanks, Isobel
Hi, my name is Sam Russell. I am a farmer/farmers wife and about to self publish my first romantic novel. I am publishing through Amazon CreateSpace and I blog about the steep learning curve of writing and publishing a debut novel at www.russellromance.com. Happy to meet you all.
Thanks everyone... I write all day every day - so now it's just a matter of finding time to get involved... which would be nice!
My name is Aurelio O'Brien and I write satirical scifi. My first novel, "EVE," takes place in a world where designer biology has replaced technology--my story is told by the last surviving robot, who is not happy about this turn of events. Within this context a funny love story unfolds. My newest novel, "GENeration eXtraTERrestrial," concerns a group of alien abductees, their offspring, and all that comes with growing up on a planet that is not really your own. (It is kind of a funny soap opera with aliens--not like anything you've read before.)
I have an author site: Aurelio O'Brien
and I am here on Goodreads with links to my books: Aurelio O'Brien
Thanks!
Hello!I'm Ashley, authoring a series of books on 'Problem Solving'. I need a lot of advice from wiser heads than mine!
Books I and II are undergoing final proofing.
Please comment on ways to improve my (first attempt) website, and the feasibility of the project.

Perhaps information I will add should go under a new 'Self help' category?
Critique strengthens my book!
