Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hello! I'm Pam Stucky, author of women's fiction, YA sci-fi adventure, and travelogues. (And maybe other genres in the future!) I'm a little overwhelmed by Goodreads ... so much here! I've been intimidated in the past but am working to learn my way around the site now. :) Happy New Year, everyone!
Hello Vincent, and everyone else here.I am Roman Piso, author of several books on ancient history and religion, including 'Piso Christ' (A book of the New Classical Scholarship). I am the founder of the NCS, and The Piso Project. I have been called "the world's foremost expert on Pliny The Younger."
My prime expertise is the Roman creation of Christianity. My work shows the main author of the New Testament gospels to have been Arrius Calpurnius Piso, a Roman. And the Epistles of Paul, as having been written by Pliny The Younger.
Also, those who have concluded the Roman authorship of the New Testament generally agree upon the satirical &/or bawdy humor element present within the NT texts originally. That is evidence to the point of proof, that the authors were not "holy" at all; but instead, very crude and rude, as evidenced by their constant use of sex words and sexual inference.
The book 'Piso Christ' was originally written completely by me, Roman Piso; but Jay Gallus added to it as contributor. Both Jay Gallus and I, are members of the NCS and of The Piso Project.
Currently, to get more people educated and informed to our findings, I have created several sites, blogs and groups (some here, and some on FB and elsewhere). Here are three links to more information regarding Piso Christ and our discoveries. Also, Jay Gallus has been doing some great interviews that you may want to look for and check out! Our best regards, Roman

Hi Everyone,I just joined Goodreads as a reader and author. So, I’m a total newbie. It’s kind of overwhelming. I’m still looking around to find my way in here and learn how things work. But I’d like to hear from you. Don’t hesitate to get in touch, if you feel like it.
I just self-published my first (non-fiction) Kindle eBook, a historical mystery called ‘Finding The Lost Templar Treasure’. I don’t know what to expect, but I’m sure glad it’s now live on Amazon (also available in Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Owner Lenders Library)
Finding The Lost Templar Treasure
Thanks,
Greetings,
Stephen

Thanks Victoria. I really appreciate it. I feel totally lost in here.

Hey there!I am Karan Pathania, from India. I come from a small , but culturally rich, state of Punjab. I am currently a high school student in a Convent school. I have been an avid reader since the very early years of my life. I also love playing basketball, coding, and dancing. I recently finished reading Susan Cain's book 'Quiet.'
Hi everybody! Glad to find a group like this one :)I'm Alex, 23 y/o, I work in IT, but all my free time I spend writing and drawing. I also have a tumblr blog where I post my art, some favorite things from movies/books, and my short stories (you can see them in my blog here, too).
I write urban fantasy at the moment (have some other ideas, too), and my first book is published on Amazon: Sky Ghosts: All for One
It's a story of superheroes being people, of self-sacrifice and love, adventure and spirit. It takes place in New York, and I believe, will be a fun reading both for adults and teenagers. If you like a strong female character that's both badass and feminine - I think you'll like it.
My short stories are pretty much about everything, and they're more like personal thoughts on different life aspects.
I'll be glad to see any of you among my friends :)
Stephen - your book sounds really interesting! I hope your readers find you! Welcome!Karen - I haven't yet read Susan Cain's book but I did see her TED Talk. My mom read her book and highly recommends it. I'll have to check it out! Welcome!
Welcome Marko, Jeffrey, Suzy, Roman, Elizabeth, and all others! :)

Hello everyone. I am an author, reader, and part-time gardener; I love life and strive to inspire others. I write in several different genres. My children's chapter book series is co-authored with my young granddaughter, Alison Taylor. A portion of the proceeds go to the Caitlyn Dunbar Nature Center to help support Girl Scouts. Our books are thrillers that have history weaved into the story and instills the concept of being respectful of the environment.
I also write adult thriller/sci-fi/paranormal romance books that chronicle several women who struggle with their new-found psychic abilities while battling an alien invasion.
A series of novellas is currently underway.

Hello Vincent and hello group. I am a writer, set mostly in the epic/dark fantasy arena. I have dabbled in crime and short story/poetry as well.I've dropped most of my books onto the bookshelf and am always willing to offer a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I'm also looking for an agent, preferably one that I wouldn't want to throw things at, but at this point I'm relegated to the fact that I probably won't get famous till after I'm dead.
Anyway, on a personal note, I'm on my second marriage, have two children (the little one is plotting to kill me), two cats and father to Noob the Wonder Dog. For those willing to take their chances, my website is at http://bit.ly/edireland
Be sure to join for the newsletters and feel free to ask any questions you would like...except medical stuff...it's too hard to research.

I am not an author but my Kindle and are as always very busy reading! I also do some beta reading as well. I also joined Tweetyourbooks so I can help authors when they need reviewers. :) Nice to meet you all!
Hi, I'm Patty! My fiancé and I have just written a book together called Matchaholics. It's a parody of the online dating experience and we just put it out.Super interested in effective ways to get the word out. Any and all input is appreciated!
Love to have someone review it who likes this genre... romance/dating drama... the book is "Sex and the City" meets online dating, so it's rated R and we think it's a lot of fun!

Welcome J.S. Lee, L. Allen, Irum, Jackie, Patty, Martie, Ed, and Alysia! Hi Alysia, I am a fantasy author. My books are written for middle grade students, but adults are reading them, too.
hello everyone..i am pratik deshpande from India. I am waiting for my first novel to get published. A publisher has accepted my work but is yet to offer a contract.. so i am a newcomer with a hanging fate :) i am 21 years old and very excited about my first work that will add my name in the vast literary world.
all of you guys looks senior to me.. and in terms of experience i am obviously negative as compared to all of you.. so guidance is very much welcome.. and i hope to make a lot of friends and bring good (even if not great) ideas into the literary world and give the readers something else than they normally expect.. a liitle smile.. a few tears.. and lots of surprising entertaining moments is what i would like to give my readers as an author.
My first novel is a romantic comedy mystery crime which revolves around the life of Piyush Mehta, a young civil engineer who has just secured a job in India's premier Real Estate giant Expanding India Private Limited and leads a quiet life in Bilaspur. The story deals with piyush's love for his family and his feelings for his senior's daughter, the decisions he takes after being attacked by India's most wanted criminal and his attempts to get rid of a situation which threatens to destroy everything he loves and cause huge damage to humanity.
Hope it comes out soon and like anyone else.. m dying to be referred.. "he is an author" :)
Hello Everyone,I'm C.A. Hartway, and I am an author and motion graphics designer (I mostly create video book trailers and ads for internet). I am a Sci-Fi fan and I've also released an apocalyptic novel, Day Of Rain: Rise Of The False Prophet.
I am currently working on the sequel, and 2 more novels under different titles for 2015 (whew).
My current novel, Day of Rain is about the demons that walk the earth, and the angels hidden among us, poised and ready to wage war at the call of the 7th messenger (who has the power to awaken the sleeping angels for battle). The story will take you on a journey into the past and the future, and will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. There's enough horror, action, suspense, intrigue, and some lustful romance to incite parental guided reading.
I look forward to more interaction with you all.
C.A.
