Hi! I'm author TC Matson. I'm excited to announce this is my first GR group that I've joined. Trying to feel it out. I recently published my debut novel, Mistaken Identity which is also posted on GR. I hope you all take a minute to check out my profile and my book.
Thank you again and have a great day!

You seem to be doing fine so far! :)
Hey, everyone! I've currently got 2 books published, working on a 3rd. And I love to read, obviously. Who on this forum doesn't? haha
Hi. I'm David Burrows and I enjoy reading and writing fantasy books. I am also a heretic as I read historical fiction. I suppose I'm attracted to sword and sandals (and dragons although they are rare in historical fiction for some reason). I do Saxon/Viking reenactment which is fun fighting in a shield wall. I have fought and been killed at Hastings with uncommon frequency. My website is David's Web and I do have some posts for authors on Starting a Book. There is also a link to my Compilation of Fantasy Jokes Page - which is for fun
Lenita wrote: "Welcome David! I also write fantasy and will check out your site."Thanks Lenita. I'll check you out too, your site that is :)
15 ratings is good and I love the concept of a bog witch.

Hi, I'm Leslie Miller. I just published my first novel, The Girl With the Half and Half Face. I'm excited to contribute to the group and meet new friends. I love books, spent my childhood sprawled on my bed with my face in a book.
Lenita wrote: "Welcome G.K. and I.! G.K., I just loved the Robin Hood stories when I was young. Have you read the Louis Rhead edition? It's ancient and was even when I read it."Hi Lenita,
Thanks for the welcome. Yes I've read Rhead's version. An excellent one. I've read most from the Victorian era. Still the best. My favorite is Henry Gilbert's 1912 version--the first book I ever read. My other top favorite RH books are Ivanhoe, Maid Marian by Peacock, E. Charles Vivian's RH, and of course my fellow Delawarean--author and illustrator Howard Pyle. BTY I'm ancient!

Welcome to the group David! Your site looks really cool. I write paranormal vampire fiction that takes place in various historical settings. I wish you the best of luck!

My recent book is The Dragon Dreamer, a YA science fantasy.

I'm new to Goodreads but have been writing all my life. I have published nine books, the last two of which, Sun Sea and Secrets, and Four To Dawn, were novels. I have a link to my website where you can check everything out and read an interview. I also write a travel blog and a blog about writing, links to both from my website. When I'm not writing [my full time job] I'm reading, watching films, cooking or travelling. http://www.mayjpanayi.wix.com/books

HI, I'm Jane (J.G. Harlond. I think we should start a thread on where we were, or what we should have been doing, when we were actually with our noses in a book. I remember failing a biology exam because I was reading Wuthering Heights, but then I did go on to become a published author so it wasn't too much of a disaster. My books this year are 'The Empress Emerald' and a long short, true story (not a quite a novella) about a young boy who rescues a wonderful black stallion during the Spanish Civil War - 'Dark Night, Black Horse'The Empress Emerald

I am a semi-retired professor of neuroscience and write non-fiction. I have two books on improving memory (Memory Power 101 and Better Grades, Less Effort). The latest book explains the brain-mind relationship (Mental Biology. How the Brain and Mind Relate). I am about to release an ebook for baby boomers: "Healthy Canary in the Brain's Coal Mine. Improving Memory Improves Brain"

Excited that my novel is now an Award-Winning Finalist in the category Fiction: LGBTQ of the 2014 USA Best Book Awards. It's a literary, cross-genre novel, but a love story between two men. Reviews have been great, too. If you decide to read, would love to hear your feedback. http://www.amazon.com/Search-Intellig...
Hi everyone,I'm Jen. I write YA Urban Fantasy but I love reading Horror, Science Fiction, and all types of Fantasy. Your group look a lot fun:) I'm glad to be a part of it.
Hi, I am Karynne. I started writing later in life after having worked for over 20 years as a corporate finance professional. I always felt something was missing in my life and I am glad I found out what it was - storytelling.
I have written two books. Desperate Pursuit in Venice, which is listed here on Goodreads and I will be publishing the sequel Desperate Pursuit in Rio de Janeiro soon.
I recently entered a contest "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" on the Authors Show and I was just named a finalist.
Here is the link to my essay and the voting page, if you would like to check it out.
