Odd comment, but I don't know your sense of humor. So I'll just say that I tend to leave a light smattering of glitter behind, but not dirt [smiley].

Scott Kaelen (scottkaelen) | 2 comments Hello, fellow authors and readers. I write across the genres of epic fantasy, science fiction, horror and contemporary fiction; flash fiction, short stories and several novel-length works in progress.
I also write poetry, mostly influenced by the aforementioned genres.

I've recently released my first published work - an irreverant comic fantasy take on Creationism, entitled "In The Beginning: A Short Story of Biblical Proportions". To that end, I'd like to share some details about the story and where it can be purchased.

In The Beginning A Short Story of Biblical Proportions by Scott Kaelen

The blurb: "In the grand, cosmic scheme of existence, the place where most things go wrong is usually the very beginning. If the Bible is to be believed, then Creation was no exception.
Within these pages you will have your faith questioned; played with; stretched; laughed at; spanked; and, perhaps, shattered into a hundred billion motes of stardust.
You have been warned."

"In The Beginning" is available in all Amazon stores worldwide, and the Kindle edition comes with a bonus vignette entitled "To Onan Is Human". Currently available for US$0.99 (and equivalents).

In The Beginning: A Short Story of Biblical Proportions

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes an interest. My next plan for release will be a poetry collection, and in the longer term I'm working extensively on an epic fantasy novel tentatively entitled "Everwalker". Phew. And now it's time for bed. G'night. ;)

Beau, anyone who can start a fight in an empty room - and live to tell the tale - gets my vote. I also have a tendency of kicking up a storm (in the form of a blog post) witnessed by none but myself.

Hi Evi, your book sounds intriguing (the fiction one, LOL). Would you be interested in a review swap? I write women's fiction, my first English-language book is out since August.
Have a nice day,
Krisz

Krisz (krisznadasi) | 16 comments Umm, well, sorry for posting before introducing myself. I like to jump into the middle of things!
I've been writing since I was 10 - like most of us here, I gather! I had articles published in several magazines, at first in youth magazines, later on my profession (management consulting), and my first fiction, a crime story was published (in Hungarian) in 2007.
My first English-language book is out as ebook since August: Live My Life, about a girl who travels a lot and learns a lot about emotions.
I am interested in review swaps!
I read basically everything, unless they are too dark or violent. I like literature and classics, but also romances and crime stories, comedies, stuff related to kids, family life, pets. Children's books are welcome, sci-fi only if they are light and funny.
Add me as a friend if you like!
Here's my book:
Live My Life

message 8574: by Ashe (new)

Ashe Armstrong (ashearmstrong) Hello, everyone. I'm Ashe. Some of you may have seen me making introductions in other groups already. Now I'm doin on here.

I write and I read. I have read since I was very young. Books are integral to who I am. I've also written on and off for a very long time and this year, I decided to go full force into becoming a professional. I've spent the year working on a regular writing schedule and my first book. Proud to say the former has worked out comfortably and the latter is coming along nicely. Part of that is the kickstarter for it.

I love sci-fi, fantasy, and horror (especially Weird fiction). I'm a Trekkie. I'm a big fan of the Weird Western, which is what my book is. I hope that I can take this first book and build a nice series. I have lots of ideas.

So, hi everyone!

Rebecca Hazell (rebecca_hazell) | 4 comments Hello,

I'm Rebecca Hazell, who in the past wrote award winning nonfiction for kids published thru Barefoot Books and Abbeville, but who turned to historical fiction to get a story written that took 20 years to research and write and which ended up as a trilogy. All three are out now, yay, and available through Amazon and Kindle. A saga set in the 13th century (think Mongols, Assassins, Crusades, Inquisition), its series title is The Tiger and the Dove, and the individual titles are The Grip of God The Grip of God (The Tiger and the Dove #1) by Rebecca Hazell , Solomon's Bride Solomon's Bride, Solomon's Bride (The Tiger and the Dove #2) by Rebecca Hazell , and Consolamentum: The Tiger and the Dove Book Three, photo pending while I figure out how to upload it! The first two books received dynamite reviews, and Consolamentum just came out. I'm happy to do review swaps.
