Trevor Gates (trevorgates) | 6 comments Hello there everyone, I'm fairly new but I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Trevor and while I'm just recently published one of my books, I can't say that I've always been a writer, but I have always been a storyteller. I discovered my love for writing out of high school and since then I've been honing my craft to the best of my ability. I write mostly contemporary fiction but my first book is essential apocalyptic fantasy. I hope to make a lot of connections and like-minded friends here.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments Dear people who sent me friend requests,

I did receive your friend request, but as it says in the place for a challenge question, I don't accept random friend requests. People are welcome to follow my reviews, send me messages, etc, but I only accept actual friend requests from people I know - or get to know after talking to them for a while on here. Thanks for your understanding on the matter.

If you have something you want to ask me, feel free to send me a message or ask me a question via my author profile, and I will do my best to answer it.

Once again, thank you for your understanding on the matter.

Ken Dean | 5 comments Good Day all,
My name is Ken Dean. I’m fairly new to Goodreads, newer to the group. I am somewhat of an aspiring author with a fondness for dystopian literature. I have my first novel all but completed with a tentative release date of the 5th of November (remember, remember). The book is entitled, Chainge. It is along the lines of a 1984 meets Brave New World, meets Anthem. I have a facebook page dedicated to the book, www.facebook.com/progressive17. I offer ‘Chainge’ inspired items as my page ‘like’ count increases. Currently a ‘Chainge’ mug will be sent to a random page follower once I reach 300 ‘likes.’ Future give-aways will include free e-books, autographed copies, bumper stickers, and additional mugs. Please ‘like’ and ‘share’ my page and I will be more than happy to reciprocate and ‘share’ your page if you let me know you’ve ‘shared’ mine. I look forward to being a part of the group and appreciate your help in getting the word out. Thanks!
Ken

LoveBooksAndCats | 1 comments Hi all well my name is Farwa and I am from Pakistan. I am not new to reading but my experience is more in Urdu literature. But I love fantasy novels filled with mystery and adventure like Harry Potter and Creepy Hollow series. But I do love any good story if it doesn't have too much graphical description of sex. I guess that's all for now

message 8324: by Zia (new)

Zia Wesley (ziawesley) | 11 comments Hi, I have been a published non-fiction author since 1981 and recently released a two-book series of historical fiction: The Veil and the Crown. Book one is The Stolen Girl and book two, The French Sultana. They are based on the true stories of cousins, Aimée Dubucq de Rivery and Rose Tascher de la Pagerie (who you may recognize as the future Empress Josephine Bonaparte). It is an extraordinary story of a young French convent girl abducted by Algerian corsairs in the late 1700's and given as a gift to the Sultan of Turkey where she becomes the most influential woman in the Ottoman Empire for the next thirty years! message 8330: by Karen (new)

Karen Tucker | 4 comments Hi. I'm Karen, and I have a number of collections of short stories available on Amazon. The first two, Horripilations Volumes 1 & 2, are of ghost stories. The Liberty Gibbens, Ghost Whisperer, volumes (two so far) pick up on some of these stories, and add new ones, taking up the tales of the ghostly characters and helping them to find peace. The final collection, Stories to Warm Your Heart, is mostly full of romantic stories, though the last is an intriguing piece with a bit of a twist to the love interest.

All are available on Amazon Kindle, with the first Horripilations volume currently priced at just $0.99.

I also have a website at www.karentucker.me.uk, which is still under constructions, but has links to all my books, and samples of my writing.

Christina Barr | 9 comments Hi. My name is Christina L. Barr. I'm 25 now, and I've been working on novels since I was 18. I've got ten completed, and five published. Writing is my passion. It consumes me, and I hope that I'll be able to finish 30 novels by the time I am 30. That's the goal, anyway. I know I could do it, especially if I could quit my day job...

Faith is very important to me, so my work can get steamy and sultry, but never too inappropriate. I also think I have a unique perspective on good vs. evil and human nature. Most of my stories tend to have a darker tone, because I like finding a positive message by overcoming darkness.

I am also a huge sci-fi, anime, comic book nerd. Most of my stories have some kind of trace of these elements. I come up with pretty unique takes on these genres though.

I never run out of ideas, just time. My perfect day is in front of a computer listening to a song on repeat while I zone into my stories.

Writing is what I do.

Madison (madisonsevier) | 1 comments Hi everyone :) My name is Madison Sevier and I'm a big combination of busy. I've been an erotic romance author for a number of years, homeschool my daughter, run the house (which has 5 pets) and handle the bookkeeping for our family's business. I'm addicted to coffee, NASCAR and animal rescue. I tend to be a bit scatterbrained with so much going on, but my intentions are always good. I love meeting new people and adding more insanity to my life.

I'm currently revamping all of my books that were formerly published through a small press company and I've been working on a few new ones. Things may be up in the air right now, but at least they're up, right?

Hope all of you have a great day and I look forward to getting to know you.

XOXO,
Madison

Beast of Venery
Hi,
My name is Isabell and I'm a Swedish-bred tale teller now living in sunny California since my early twenties. I'd always dreamed about being a rock star and make it onto the Hollywood scene, and even wrote more than one hundred rock and pop songs. Out of the blue I got hit by the big love train and ended up marrying an oil operator and I'm now happily married and dot around the house with our daughter and two cats. Surviving on vanilla flavored coffee when the days seem too long I have made it very clear that baby nap-time is mommy's writing and reading time.

My first book, “Beast of Venery”, was published on Amazon Kindle and mixes my favorite genres: steamy romance and criminal suspense.
I'm bilingual using English as my second language, but get's the grammar and slight text editing done by a nice oil operator I know.

Cynthia Morgan (morganbc728) | 13 comments Hello, Im Morgan, an online, award-winning blogger, freelance writer, and e-book author who has produced short stories, newsletters and mountains of poetry. I am a current member of the Independent Author Network and have published poetry on the websites: MuseZine.com, Poetry.com, D’Verse.com, NaPoWriMo.com. I am also a prominent guest writer on Poet’sCorner.com.
In June of 2013 I created the rapidly growing blog www.Booknvolume.com on WordPress. In one year Booknvolume has had over 60,000 visitors and has amassed over 2800 followers from over 150 countries worldwide. My birth name is Cynthia, but I write under the pseudonym ~Morgan~, so don't let it confuse you. :)

My first book, "Dark Fey, The Reviled" is book one in a series I am currently penning. It is a Fantasy genre story set in the primordial forests of mystical time in a land peopled by both Light Loving and Darkness Revering Faeriekind. It is a tale of Light and Darkness, of Joy and Sorrow, the Loved and the Unloved. It shares the Trials and Triumph of Courage and Perseverance, while wrapping the reader in lush, lyrical descriptions. Available on Kindle, "Dark Fey, The Reviled" is already receiving 5-star reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Fey-Revile...

Some of my other passions and interest include my deep love for animals and the environment, music, acting, cooking, astronomy, spirituality and the paranormal. I have been a Guardian with the ASPCA since 2008 and also supports the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Escape with me into a world of Magic and Mystery; into a Realm of Beauty and Enchantment, into an intense adventure for your Mind and Spirit.

Hello to everyone here at Goodreads, my name is Charlene and I was born and raised in New York. About 2 years ago I moved my family to the state of Florida. As true Northerners we are still adjusting to the heat and just completed our 2 summer hibernation. The good thing is that, it gives me plenty of time to write. The first book in my series is finally ready and life is feeling really good right now. What would make me feel even better is a few new friends here on Goodreads, so if you get the chance come visit my page. Be well, C F Heller

Rebecca Bryn (rebeccabryn) | 48 comments I'm Rebecca, I live in Pembrokeshire, Wales, not far from Britain's smallest city. I love the sea and the wild moorlands of this county, which I paint in watercolours and sometimes in acrylics.
Writing and painting have a lot in common: to paint you need to be able to see not just look, and you see the world through new eyes when you consider light, shade, tone, perspective and colour. Writing also needs light, shade, tone, perspective and colour and makes you see beyond the plain fronts people present to the world, to the faceted layers that lie beneath the surface, and what drives people to be who they are. This fascination with what's hidden gives my characters depth.
I have published two novels to date: mystery thrillers with a romantic thread that delve into mankind's lighter and darker sides.
The Silence of the Stones is available as an e-book now, and will be the Reading Addicts' New Release Book of the Month in November, with a Q&A session to follow. Do join the discussion.
My second novel, Touching the Wire, is out on pre-order for November 1st 2014.
