Hello, I am Karris Callahan! I am creative to the core, passionate in all I do, and always a dreamer of the unreachable. I am an author with the deep desire for all youth to discover their potential and follow their dreams. I believe that everyone was born with a voice to be heard, and I am committed to being apart of a generation who courageously speaks through the creative arts.
Hi,I'm D.J.Wilson. First a blogger, now an author of two published works just this year, I'm hoping to share my weaknesses and draw on the strengths of the group.
Most pressing question I'd like to ask, does a romance adventure novel need to be steamy? I've listened to many comparing our works to E.L. James and Silvia day. Although flattered, I'm not sure that's a good thing. I'd rather appeal to a broader audience if possible.

Author of Ride To Redemption, Ride To Restoration.

Hi, D.J., and welcome to the party. I'll offer my opinion for you, and be aware that that's all this is. I'm not a romance reader, but I'm not above reading an adventure with a romance playing a part in it. I prefer the adventure to take center stage, and feel that if the romance is the focus, then it's a romance that happens to have an adventure going on in the background. If your focus is on the romance, then steam it up. That seems to be what readers of that genre want. If it's an adventure, than show the romantics being romantic, but hint at the physical; stop when they close the bedroom door, and leave it to your readers to infer the steamy.

Hi I'm Stu Sherman. I co-write YA books under the pen name Alex Flynn with my wife. We have a book about teenage superheroes coming out in the fall. I also write under my own name, though have nothing published at this point. I read a lot of YA and literary fiction, as well as non-fiction mostly on science and healthcare. I run a bioethics task force for NY state and when not writing wrestle with tricky ethical questions in health policy. I've recently been doing a lot of research on reproductive technology and artificial intelligence, though as seperate subjects.

Hi guys! My name is Katerina Martinez, author of Taken In Darkness: 7 Supernatural Shorts (recently released on Amazon for Kindle). I'm completely new to the world of published books, but I'm really excited to have finally stepped out of my shell and stuck to the only thing I knew made sense.

Hi Everyone!I'm Claire Bowman, I write how-to books focused on reducing chemicals in our lives. I'm currently on book #3 of a series called "Kick Chemicals to the Curb!" I love helping people learn how to make just about anything themselves. Plus, it's great for your health and tons cheaper.
I love reading, too. I enjoy a wide variety of topics from business to health to a good vampire book. I'm fairly new to Goodreads so this has been an adventure.

A Murder at Dragon BayDear all,
I was musing about how straightforward it must surely be to write a whodunnit. Well, I have now discovered that there is nothing straightforward whatsoever about such an undertaking. The experiment has demonstrated, at least to me, that it is hard work indeed sticking within the rigid conventions of a detective novel.
I suspect that the freedom of a post-post-post-modern novel is a far easier prospect. On the other hand, this experiment was quite good fun and I enjoyed the illusion, about which I have already heard others talk, of watching the characters to see what they would do next (as if I weren't in control).
Anyway. There it is. Publish and be damned.
Yours,
Steven Lawrie

Hello Everyone! My book, The Joy Channelings, are channelings I received over a two year period about how we can connect to the Joy that is a part of all of us. I had learned to channel prior to my daughter becoming critically ill, and I am so appreciative of the Sky helping me to find my faith again and show me the smallest things can bring the greatest of Joys. It changed my perspective from the sorrow of her having to relearn how to walk to the Joy of "look what she can do today - she can move her toe!" In learning how to change my perspective from sorrow to Joy, it changed how I was viewing everything in my life. I am happy to report she is completely healed, and it is my wish to share these Joy Channelings with anyone looking to find the Joy that is underneath everything, and sharing an easy way to connect to it.
