Eva Vanrell (evavanrell) | 30 comments Hello from New Orleans. My name is Eva Vanrell and I'm the author of The Butterfly Crest. It is a modern fantasy epic, and the first book in The Protogenoi Series. If you like mythology, gods, conflict, conspiracy, Japan, and a host of unforgettable characters (including Yokai and other supernatural creatures), this is the story for you! ;)

The book includes a comprehensive appendix, and it's available for sale on Amazon Kindle, iBooks/iTunes, Barnes & Noble Nook and Kobo (and a few others).

If you'd like to learn more, please visit my website at evavanrell.com

Wendy Hinman | 9 comments I am Wendy Hinman, author of Tightwads on the Loose. Tightwads on the Loose tells the story of Wendy and Garth, lured to sea by the promise of adventure. They buy a 31-foot boat that fits their budget better than it fits Garth’s large frame and set sail for an open-ended voyage, never imagining they’d be gone seven years, or cover 34,000 miles at the pace of a fast walk. They live without most “necessities” and learn that teamwork and a sense of humor matter most as they face endless “character-building opportunities.” Tightwads on the Loose offers a fun read to the armchair adventurer — or anyone afflicted with wanderlust. (http://wendyhinman.com/tightwads-on-t...) I am an extremely avid reader, but somewhat new to active involvement on Goodreads.

message 7613: by Sara (new)

Sara Raztresen Hello! I'm Sara Raztresen, and I've loved writing since I was eight. (Right now I'm only seventeen, but I've been working a lot to get my writing skills polished enough for writing real books.) I've finally finished my first book, Quarantined, and it's one of my greatest achievements so far. You can find it here, or you can request a preview of half of the book in EPub or PDF format.

I love fantasy, romance, some science fiction and tragic stories. I'm also a fan of all kinds of manga. Music is pretty important to me to help inspire scenes in my stories, too.

My biggest dream is to be a successful novelist, but otherwise I'm just going to get a degree in English when I go to college. :)

Dear Sara, Hi! Have you thought of entering the Writers of The Future Contest? It's in its 30th year, and is for new writers. Some of the judges are/were Algis Budrys, Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game), Frank Herbert, and Kevin J. Anderson, and the list goes on and on like a "who's who" for SciFi writers. The monetary winnings are awesome, too. I'm currently writing a story to submit for next year. Best, Pat

Dennis Cardiff (dcardiff) | 8 comments Hi, I'm Dennis Cardiff, author of Gotta Find a Home:
Conversations with Street People, (book 1 of 4) released June 10.

My book is about people on the street, some who live there, some who beg for money. Who are they? Why are they there? What is their background? What do they have to offer? These are questions I explore in conversations with these friends who have accepted me as a member of their street family.

Humorous, tragic, heartbreaking, heartwarming, surprising, enlightening are some of the words I would use to describe this book.

I welcome reviews. Please reply to dacardiff@gmail.com with your email address so I may send you a digital version.

Laurel Heidtman (kylaurel) | 32 comments I've been bouncing around the groups here on Goodreads, but just realized I've never introduced myself -- and my mother taught me to be more polite than that! My name is Laurel Heidtman, and I just published my first novel -- Catch A Falling Star (An Eden Mystery) -- about three weeks ago. I'm having a great time writing, learning how to market, and getting to know all the other people around the world who also love writing.

Jamie Cirillo (jamiecirillo) | 8 comments Hello everyone! My name is Jamie Cirillo and I am the self-published author of Friends in High Places. This group looks great for advice and support so thank you for starting it. Also, my book is currently available for FREE until Thursday so consider checking it out. I am the mother of four amazing kids, married for nearly 16 years and live in NJ. It's taken almost 5 years for me to finish the book, in between life of course, but that's okay. I've shown my kids that you can achieve your dreams not matter what. True dedication will always pay off. I am certainly open to any marketing and promotion tips my fellow authors have to share. Thank you in advance!
Jamie

Allen Paul | 1 comments I'd like to introduce my new book "Honey the Dixie Dingo Dog: Champion of the Strays." The target age is middle graders but it's getting a good crossover audience of adults. Honey narrates her own story in a southern voice. She's a swamp dog who gets trapped and nearly shot and then goes on to win a major agility championship. Recent genetic evidence points to the Dixie Dingo as the oldest breed in North America. For more information visit: www.honeythedixiedingodog.com

I'll be offering a deal for it in the Amazon store, and I'm preparing an ad to post in the clubs I've joined next week after I get back from a trip to visit my sister. My blog has info on my book, and it's currently free on Wattpad. But I'm going to hold of on explicit advertisement for a bit. It's great to join the group :)

Laura Tveras (lauratveras) Hi everyone,

I am a reader, but I am also here looking for honest reviews for a new debut novel, HOLE, written by my husband, Rim Tveras.

We had a pretty successful Twitter party a few days ago and offered a digital copy free for a day through Amazon.com. Another party is already on the calendar with another free download day included.

If you happen to have a vacant space on your Want To Read shelf, perhaps HOLE could be considered for the spot.
