Sylvia Massara (sylvia_massara) Hi all,

I've been writing since my early teens, and have written in a variety of genres, from stage plays to screenplays to novels. Since I can remember, I've loved immersing myself in a world filled with characters of my own creation—so it only seemed natural that I should become a writer.

I am also an avid supporter of "indie" authors, and as a result, I have created a virtual TV show run on a blog called The Lit Chick Show. In the show I showcase other author's work so that viewers can see what is available out there.

I live with my hubby and four-legged daughter in Sydney, Australia, and I'm about to start working on my third novel. For more info about me, please visit my website.

I look forward to interacting with you online. Cheers, Sylvia

message 718: by Tristi (new)

Tristi | 12 comments It occurs to me that I never really introduced myself on the list. :) I just scrolled through to "meet" everyone else - wow - pages and pages of new friends. That's awesome.

My name is Tristi Pinkston, and I'm about to release my sixth novel in January. My first three books were LDS historical fiction, then I wrote a contemporary romantic suspense, and then I started writing LDS cozy mysteries. They've all been a whole lot of fun.

Let's see if I can do some linking here:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78...

The sixth book isn't up on GoodReads yet.

I'm also a book reviewer, so for those of you who are looking to have your books reviewed, we might have something to discuss. I prefer light mysteries, sweet romance, historical fiction - no erotica, horror, overt sensuality.

I look forward to getting to know each of you better!

It's a collection of stories about the great writers that you didn't learn in school, such as how Hemingway was as a lover, Faulkner's DTs, Marcel Proust's duel, and how Virginia Woolf punked the Royal Navy.

Clicking on the cover will take you to my Goodreads page, while my website contains a synopsis and an excerpt and some free goodies such as monitor wallpaper and a suggested mix CD of writer-related songs.

Thanks for inviting me and I'm glad to hear from book fans.

Hi Julie,

Feel free to tell us as much about your book(s) as you want, in as many genre folders that apply to your work.

This group is designed to give authors the freedom to list their work, and readers the freedom to choose what they want to read. (Who needs the "filtering" middlemen?)

Adam Moore (PerceptorPrime) | 4 comments Hello all!

My name's Adam. I'm a writer from Cincinnati, Ohio. Wow, there's a lot of people on here! I write emotionally charged action. Sometimes it's got sci/fi and fantasy but sometimes it's just drama. I've got an unproduced full length screenplay done that's very heavy on the sci/fi fantasy element and an unproduced short that's based on the short story I posted on my blog. I've finished Seven Arrows and am working on my second novel.

I'm always looking to meet new folks and trade anecdotes and antidotes (when needed) so if anyone wants to chat, I check in pretty regularly.

Sarah Honenberger (sarahhonenberger) | 10 comments Oh, the power of words. Second career for me, and my third novel, big publisher, is #8 on New and Noteworthy/Amazon since Dec 28 release, and #1 in Death & Dying subcategory of YA age group under Children's/people and Places/Social issues. And #4 in Hot New Releases/Lit Fiction. But best of all, it's a great read and getting good reviews except from vampire book lovers who want more action. 16 year old Daniel has just read The Catcher in the Rye when he's diagnosed with leukemia. After moving family to houseboat to avoid germs, they insist on alternative remedies. Daniel uses Holden to think through his decisions in the year the doctors have given him. Try it. (and write a review here and on Amazon, please, it really helps authors. Catcher, Caught

Bill Briggs (billbriggs) | 2 comments Hey everyone. Very cool little gathering here.
I'm Bill Briggs. An author and newspaper vet from Denver, Colorado. (MSNBC.com is where most of my writing lands these days). I'm seven days from pub date of 'The Third Miracle' but my pre-release chore list only seems to be growing fatter by the hour. Thankfully, this introduction trims a critical task from the list. Wish I had done it earlier.
'The Third Miracle' retraces the investigation - by priests and doctors in the States and in Rome - of an allegedly miraculous cure that occurred in Indiana in 2001. I explore the clash of science and faith, and I ask if claimed miracles still hold relevance in a techno-addicted, cynical world. The narrative draws no conclusions and is purposely told straight down the middle.
The tale is told around the man who received the inexplicable cure - a generally nonreligious convent caretaker who struggled for years with the notion that God had decided to rejuvenate his health, had picked him over so many others in need. I was lured by this man's humble confusion and his sincere questions: 'What did I do to deserve this?' ... 'Does this cure carry some sort of divine debt?' ... 'And when does that bill come due?' He was haunted by this apparent gift. I wanted to know how and if he found peace with his 'miracle.'
I've posted some blog entries on my author page. More to come as pub date approaches.
I look forward to meeting you here and chatting about the books you love and the books you have written.
My home base is www.facebook.com/AuthorBillBriggs
All best,
Bill
