C. Robert Cales, a.k.a. ScaryBob. I write paranormal thrillers. I've transitioned my novels to ebooks. I have a few print copies that I'm willing to send out postage free to readers who agree to put the book at the top of their reading list and write a review for Goodreads. Please pay attention to this. I'm not interested in 1 star reviews from hard core horror fans who expect to see zombies in the front yard as soon as the story begins. I don't write horror, I write paranormal thrillers. If you enjoy turning pages as you meet new friends and get involved in their lives you will likely find my brand of fiction potent.
I will post details of my offer in the appropriate folder when I find it.
It's nice to meet everyone. Look me up if you meet that reader profile.

Hi, Jorge. Thanks for responding. I was saying that there are two more books that I've written/compiled that should be added to my books on my profile page. I can't figure out how to do this, and I can't figure out how to contact the Goodreads support staff. There is no "contact us" link. I posted a message here because it seemed to be the only way to contact anyone. Carol

Hi, Carol ~ Go to the bottom of any page and click on Help. There is a list of FAQs that they hope will help you, but if not, the Contact button is in the left column near the top of the page. Best of luck.

Hi there,I'm a writer of romance and a reader of just about anything but mainly romance. When I'm not writing or reading I'm thinking about writing/editing or what I'm going to read next. And yes I do have a life outside writing and reading too LOL!

Hi, Im David Shaw and I'm busy writing my third book which will be released later in the year. Its a mixture of fiction and non- fiction (honestly!). Nice to meet everyone.
Wonderful to meet so many bookworms all in one place! I've just discovered Goodreads, what a God-send ;-)I'm JL Morse, writer, copy-editor and part time naturopath - I'm a passionate natural health advocate. Full time home-educating mother of two, living on the South Coast of the UK.
Would be fabulous to meet some book-minded folk. Do friend request me or follow me on twiter @jlmorse99
Hello, my name is John Foxjohn and I am a published author from the deep Pineywoods of East Texas. I’ve been fortunate enough to have four best-sellers, including my true crime, Killer Nurse.I was the 2008 author of the year and have won three reader’s choice awards. Besides that, I am an Edgar nominee and won the RWA STAR award.
As it happens, I am published in six different genres.
If you want to be friends just send me a friends request. You can also find me on twitter and Facebook.
Just look for John Foxjohn.
'Writing is easy - it's editing that will break your back.'I sure hope someone famous said that. If not, I'm saying it, and I'm sure everyone can relate.
Spent a year on Critter's looking for help, but finally came to the conclusion that if I want to get it done, I've got to do it myself. *sigh* Been searching for a long time to find a place like this. I'm lousy at social media [not a marketing bone in my body], but I do well at thread-based websites [I've always got *something* to say], so I hope this will go well.
Forcibly retired in 2012, I've turned back to my early passion of writing. I've made my mark in the boardgame publishing world, created a few interesting art pieces, had a song published and finished my first novel [only 260K words]... would like to get started on a fantasy trilogy I have plotted out, but I need to finish my first novel.
Welcome to my nightmare. ;-) I've decided [well... there's a long story behind the word 'decided' there] to do my own editing, but finding beta readers [interesting moniker] has eluded me. Hope to change that here.
I'm not as computer savvy as most, and I'm finding this website a bit intimidating, but I think I'll get it figured out before too long.
My library tends toward more old-school sf/fantasy [plus a ton of military history for wargame research], which I was pleased to see recognized here. Working on finding a group with similar tastes [well, close anyway], but this seemed as good a spot as any to get the ball rolling.
My book? Well, there's this Roman hot spring spa in northern France. A Roman soldier from 44AD, a French Lieutenant from 1804 and a Scottish doughboy from 1914 all settle in for a good soak. 3 eclipses and explosions thrust the boys into Napoleonic France in the summer of 1804 [the Lieutenant doesn't shift]. After the initial shock, they retire to his tent to discover - from a print of the Lieutent's wife - that they are all 3 married to the same woman.
Fate having thrown the switch on the cosmic roller-coaster, the boys are off... interested in finding out more? Any suggestions for the best group here?
Anybody know why I can't get a decent fish & chips place within 25 miles of home?
Hello Chester. It's nice to meet a fellow wargamer on these boards (computer games have nearly killed the hobby off).
It was a race to see what would finish the hobby first; pre-assembled and pre-painted miniatures, or internet based wargames. The internet won. Apparently, it was just too much trouble for people to make the effort to actually leave the house and play with their friends in person.
Hi, Billy Go here! I'm normally over on YouTube teaching Korean lessons, but I've also recently just released a new book for learning Korean. Feel free to ask me any questions if you're learning Korean as well and I'd be happy to help you :-)
Hey everyone, I'm a writer based in Denton, Texas and will be releasing by first novel, Crimson Son, on June 14th. (Look it up - if it sounds like your kind of book, add it to your "to read" shelf and share!)My "About" blurb
In the fourth grade, Russ Linton wrote down the vague goal of becoming a “writer and an artist” when he grew up. After a journey that led him from philosopher to graphic designer to stay at home parent and even a stint as an Investigative Specialist with the FBI, he finally got around to that “writing” part which he now pursues full time.
Russ creates fiction in many genres. His stories drip with blood, magic, and radioactive bugs. He writes for adults who are young at heart and youngsters who are old souls.

I am a self-taught poet with 2 e-books out. They are in ebook format to be interactive. This means I have links included, and if the device offers internet, the partaker can access video poems I've included within. Most were nature poems. I had expected to keep to this, but life tends to get in the way. Since about November 2014 life has reformed my writing whether I like it or not. I may do another book called "Lip Service," or I may continue within my Goodreads writing, my "Twitter-Tweet" poems, and now within my exploration of audio poetry. Poetry-at least as I've found it for me-is about the process more than the end product. One other random thought I have is that all good poets go to hell. As I try to bring it back with me-this may determine if I'm successful. Links to my "stuff" on my Goodreads author profile page. Happy writing all!
