Hi Karen,
Thanks for the welcome. I've been seriously writing it for about a year and a half now and loving it.
Your book sounds like a fun read. A day in the life of a soccer mom is never dull. LOL

Hello Vincent and everyone,
I have been writing since elementary school! I don't even remember when I started, but probably as soon as I knew how to pick up a pencil. I write all genres, although my first published book, "Taking 1960", is a paranormal mystery. I have a tendency to mix genres.
I love reading, of course, and have always been very inspired by the classics. I was reading Shakespeare as a child, and I love pretty much anything I can get my hands on.... The only thing I prefer not to read is Romance... I'm way too cynical for that. ;-)
I also like studying psychology and criminology on my own, and I have a deep-seated obsession with auto-mechanics...
Nice to meet everyone!

Greetings, everyone!
I'm Nadine--author, editor, book lover--and I'm always looking to find/spread messages of HOPE in what I read and write. I didn't know Goodreads existed until a few days ago, but I'm glad I found it. My passion for books was instantly rekindled just by browsing around for a while and remembering things that I've read in the past!
I've published two inspirational books so far this year, my first novel and my second book of poetry. Feel free to check out my profile to find out more!

My name is Patricia Caviglia. I've recently published a teen romance novel called Masks. I think love is sort of an obsession for me. I can't say I seek it out, but I am amazed by how it develops and the reactions it causes. Love is what I write about.
This is my first group on Goodreads. I'm excited!

My name is Ron Friedman. I am the author of Night Shines as Day, a novel. The book came out practically whole after the death of my father. It was a surprise to me. It is about family relationships and covert abuse in a Jewish family in an Ohio suburb in the 1950's. Somewhere around 30 readers--have all said very nice things about it. I am humbly looking for readers. The book is available on Lulu, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble in ebook format. If you are looking for a sleeper, this may be it. Best Regards to All

Hello everyone! My name is T. M. Sulsona and I'm a new author. I've been writing stories since high school, and at the urging of friends and family, finally put them to the page. My first novel was published in October of 2008, and I'm currently working on two others to be released. My genre is paranormal/fantasy romance and I *love* beasties! While I have nothing against Vamps and Weres (and read them avidly), I write about those alpha-male *things* that you don't normally see in print.

Hi Everyone,I'm the Author of The Gift of Joy (Valerie Maarten) Website:

I write contemporary romance and I am also an avid reader of every sub-genre in the romance category.
Hi all! I recently completed the translation of my father's book Tracks and Horizons: 26 Countries on a Motorcycle that he originally wrote in Spanish. The book chronicles his two-year motorcycle adventure around the world in the 1960's. It's quite a story and I had an amazing time working with my father on the English translation.
Hi everyone! I am a first time writer. My debut novel, Her Sanctuary, is a contemporary romance/mystery set in the fictional town of Sanctuary, AZ on the outskirts of an Indian Reservation.Shannon Mallory is a woman on the run; not from outside forces but from her own wounded heart when she finds herself at the "Last Resort Cafe'". She answers the 'Help Wanted' sign and meets Seth Proudfoot, a half-breed with jet black hair and electric blue eyes. He's a loner and an outcast, accused and acquitted of a crime he has no recollection of committing. When the two lock eyes for the first time, he feels something stirring within him that he thought had died three years ago. Though the attraction is mutual, and the two proclaim their love early on, an old secret from the past threatens not only their happiness, but their very lives. The truth will set you free, but at what cost?
It's getting great reviews on both goodreads and amazon.com where you can "look inside the book" for a sneak preview.
I thank you guys for allowing me to talk about Her Sanctuary. I'm very proud of it and hope you'll check it out. :)
Thank you!
I'm a former high school teacher and current IT consultant. That's how I pay the bills, but I've recently added writing to my list of bill-paying activites. I've always written for pleasure, but it took my wife's coaxing to publish.
Current book is A Beacon of Hope with the rest of the series either being published soon or in the works.
