Introduce Yourself!
Hi my name is Trine Vilemann. I am a Danish journalist and author. I have written two non-fiction books on the Danish Royal Family and have now tried my hands on fiction with my new novel "Queen of Deception."My dream is to write contemporary fiction about contemporary issues. My new novel is a reflection on the human being behind the royal handshake. We see the royals on parade. They smile and cut ribbons, but what is the truth behind the glossy facade?
"Queen of Deception" is my attempt to look at life behind palace walls.
This is my website: www.trinevillemann.com
My name is Dormaine and I am a recently published author as of October 2013. I like to write young adult science fiction as well as read it, plus detective and supernatural genres. Before writing I was a nurse but I like writing better because it is freedom to me. Thank you for letting me join the group.

Hi, everyone. My name is Jordan MacLean, published by Raconteur House, and I am a fantasy author. The first two books of my Lords of Syon Saga, Sword of Hemlock and Guardian Last. The series tracks a troubled young woman who was raised to be the ultimate warrior in fulfillment of prophecy as she tries to reconcile who she was and who she is with who she is expected to be, all while fighting against forces that would keep her world enslaved forever. In a way, it is a coming of age story, not just for this woman, but for the entire world she lives in.
I also have other novels and several short stories on the burners.
When I'm not writing, I'm running or practicing aikido or restoring my 100+ year old house in North Carolina with my partner, Mike, who is with the 82nd airborne. My son is stationed in Germany with the 16th.
Nice to meet you all. Please don't be shy about following me or adding me as a friend. The more the merrier. Also, right now, we have a giveaway going for Guardian https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh... which ends on 10/26, so please do sign up. It's for a free signed copy. :-)
Thanks!
Hello all,I'm Hendrik Witmans, of Vancouver Island, Canada. My writing genre is science fiction, with more emphasis on how science and technology affect people, than on science and technology itself.
Here's a short synopsis of my work:
Problems with Portals is an anthology of short stories about teleportation and the unexpected things that could go wrong, if it ever became available.
The Thought Killer is the first novel in a series of six, called the Oscar Series. It is about a scientist who wants to save the human race by creating a drug that will change the way people think. Though he is successful, he inadvertently sets off a series of far-reaching events he couldn't possibly have foreseen, involving not just humans, but dolphins as well.
The Mind Cleansers is the second volume in the series, dealing with a group of people who have all been exposed to this mind altering drug and formed a communal sect led by a mysterious and enigmatic character called Oscar. The commune members believe it is their sacred and divine duty to save the world from materialism, greed, and all its accompanying evils.
Both novels and the short stories are available on Amazon.com. Though the stories are futuristic, there is plenty of emotion, mystery and suspense, and some humour, also. By joining this group, I hope to meet other writers with similar ideas. It'll be nice meeting you. Thank you all.

Hey all, Anne Ferretti joining the group. I'm a writer and a reader. I'll read most anything if it's a good story (no erotica). The Book Thief, The Stand, Atlas Shrugged are some of my faves. Currently I'm writing the 2nd in a light sci-fi series, having published the 1st last month. There's something so thrilling and scary about publishing your first book! Looking forward to finding new reads and meeting new book junkies.

Hi everyone,So, a little about me? Okay...
I'm an extremely creative 25 year old with an over-active imagination, a passion for American cars, suspense/ thriller/ romance books and horror movies. I'm also English.
Back in August 2011, I was unemployed, bored and sitting at the ex's parents house on the computer getting forever frustrated with how 'vanilla' Facebook was getting - And I thought "Meh, I'm do some writing" which then quickly turned into "I'm going to see if I can write a book, this is fun". 4 months later I'd completed 'Dangerous Minds' and after 2 years of not knowing what to do with it, it's now finally edited (more times that I care to remember) and ready to get out there and be read.
'Dangerous Minds' is finally going to be released tomorrow as a eBook, and I'm very excited!
It's a suspense thriller with a couple of romantic twists here and there I have a passion for Americana, I though it only right that there are some nice V8's in there too. Great for you guys out there!
I'm also currently writing my second book, 'Blood Red Pistons' and I hope to get this completed by April next year and out for 25/10/2014! I also already have an idea for my third book, which already has a title.
Anyway, I just thought I'd drop by and say hello!!! It's now time to shimmy around on goodreads and see what it's all about!
If you want to ask me anything about 'Dangerous Minds' or even me (I assure you I'm not too exciting though), feel free!

Hey everyone!! I just discovered this group and am thrilled to be a part of it! I'm currently a stay at home mom working in my bachelor's in English in hopes of teaching high school English. I'm an avid reader and I love writing! Generally I read SciFi, fantasy, some horror, and romance but recently discovered that I enjoy Christian fiction as well, so basically I read everything! I'm currently working on a new story idea and hope that I will actually stick with this one and eventually get published.
Hey guys,My name is Nihar Suthar and I am a college student. A few months ago, I published my first book Win No Matter What: A Guide to Hyping Up Your Life. Hi everyone!I'm Jesse. I write for film and games. My most recent game is FREEQ, an interactive radio drama for smartphones. I'm a co-founder of Psychic Bunny, an LA-based creative firm and have recently taken to writing prose between screenplay drafts and game design documents.
I have a huge interest in YA, largely because I love the cross-genre nature of YA material. I'm also quite fond of non-fiction and while my first novel is making appointments to receive rejection letters in the next 6-8 weeks I'm strongly considering a non-fiction book that sprang out of a documentary film I'm in post on as my next project.
I am trying very, very hard to be a better digital citizen. I've been on goodreads for a while but I'm very new to the community aspect. I've largely just been using it to organize my vast kindle library in a visual fashion and swap recs with real-life friends. I joined this group in particular to get a handle on being more proactive with the digital life aspect of writing in these modern times.
Hi everyone! I'm M.L. Pollack and I'm new to the indie world. I just finished writing the rough draft to my urban fantasy and next week begin editing. However, I do have have a cover already for it. You can see it on my GR profile here and besides writing, I am an avid reader.
I'm always looking for a new book or new author to try. Although I mostly prefer fantasy both YA and adult, I do also like to read other genres of fiction, like historical fiction, romance or crime and some thriller and chick-lit. All the better if they have some humor and a little love interest. :)

Hi, I am Vitor Daniels and I enjoy both writing and reading books. It started for fun and I just can,t stop doing that.
Hi - I am Diane Brown, author of the The Sabi- The book is about life growing up in South Africa. It is a very personal journey against the backdrop of what is happening in the country. It captures the period up until the release of Nelson Mandela & shows what life was like then as opposed to what is happening today. I feel this is a book that needed to be written because the real issues effecting the society are hardly ever written about or discussed.I am a reader, and as my book will reflect I have been doing this from the time I could write. There is a special place that books have in my life - and I hope to read many of your books - My book is available on all the online sites - Amazon, Book Depository, Barnes & Noble, etc..

Hi! My name is Alex Cord and some of you might remember me from my acting career. I am currently enjoying social media and promoting my book "Days of the Harbinger." It's a Sci-fi novel released through "Timber Creek Press."I really enjoy writing and I hope to have my second book "A Feather in the Rain" out there as a movie soon. I haven't made a movie in a few years-- so that will be exciting.
Hello everyone,I'm new to the group, obviously since I'm introducing myself. :-) My name is Carol Rzadkiewicz, and I reside in the murky, alligator-infested swamplands of south Louisiana, though my home state is Georgian, and to borrow from the late-and-great Southern humorist and writer, Lewis Grizzard, "If I ever get back to Georgia, I'm gonna nail my feet to the ground."
I teach online for the University of Phoenix, mainly English and communications courses, but I am first and foremost a writer, and to date I have authored three novels, three novellas, a collection, and numerous short stories. Of course, I am also a reader, but then, I have loved reading since I was a little girl growing up in rural Georgia.
Anyway, I'm delighted to now belong to this group, and I am looking forward to some interesting discussions. Mustang Summer
Hello, all!My name is K.C. Rivers and I'm an author of young adult fantasy. My first novel, "Prince of Light" is available on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback formats. Book two is currently in progress.
I'm a major geek/fangirl, so you can usually find me off in a corner squeeing over the latest Marvel movie to come out or weeping when my favorite manga character dies. I love meeting new authors/readers and look forward to browsing these forums! :)

Hi all - I've only today stumbled across this group. I typically lie low on discussion boards but am working on reaching out to connect with other readers and writers. I've written four novels, three in the southern fiction/historical fiction category, and one (my most recent, released earlier this month) in the southern fiction/drama/crime genre.I'm an avid reader, currently reading Jodi Picoult's Perfect Match. Picoult, Anita Shreve, Elizabeth Berg, and Barbara Kingsolver are some of my favorites, along with Stephen King for my horror fix, and Ann Rule for my true crime fix.
I'm looking forward to browsing around, meeting others, and finding some great books to read.
Hello everyone. Please enjoy today's new post on my blog about being the best person I, or anyone else, can possibly be!

Hey everyone! I’m Brittany Jo James and I’m a relatively new author. My first two novels, My Knightly Dreams and At Least I’m Pretty were published in August. I have two others that are complete and ready to be published, one that is about halfway finished and another that I can’t get my mind off of. Writer problems, right?! I’m an Oklahoma girl, but my husband (who just happens to be my high school sweetheart…) is a soldier in the United States Air Force and we’re currently stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. We have two little boys, Jagger and Jett. I earned my bachelor’s degree in business administration and I’m oddly using it as an exhausted housewife by day and an optimistic author by night. In my spare time, I enjoy… Well, never mind. I actually don’t know what “spare time” is anymore. I do like to read, watch the occasional episode of The Walking Dead and meander on Facebook when my children are taking a hiatus from pushing me to the brink of insanity. Thanks for making this awesome group available and for reading my somewhat awkward introduction!
