BONJOUR! I am a lifelong Francophile and former French teacher, with a passion for all things French. I invite you to read my story, Solitary Desire (ebook & paperback), proving that dreams really can come true! I currently share news, information, & amusing stories on my blog, 24/7 in France and offer themed travel packages as co-founder of France Finesse!
My name's Paul, I worked in digital entertainment for about 10 years writing anything from video game scripts to an interactive language course before starting a small business creating content linked to 360° virtual tours. I was bitten by the writing virus when I was still at school, I'm glad it has never left me. I've recently self-published STRANGE METAMORPHOSIS my first YA fantasy adventure novel. I actually started taking notes for this book back in 1992, would you believe? Now I'm learning the ropes of emarketing.www.pcrmonk.com

Hello. I'm Lee Jordan. My husband, Gary Jordan, and I are a writing team - The Phoenix. We published A Whisper from Eden, A Historical Fantasy. And just published as of Sept 11, a different genre, Leon's Lair, an International Thriller/Contemporary Fantasy. Both are available on Amazon. We are passionate readers, love movies, and sitting in the Southern California Sun. We live in Hollywood with our crabby tom cat, Snickers.
Greetings,My name is Rebecca Hazell and I am an author and avid reader. I won awards for my nonfiction children's books, and I have just self-published my first novel in a historical fiction trilogy set during the time of the Mongol Invasions. Since this is my first foray into self-publishing, I could use all the help I can get spreading the word about my new book!
Cheers!
Hello Friends, I'm Sach. As you may have figured out already I joined only just and thought I'd say hi.I'm originally from Sri Lanka though now I live and work in Tokyo, Japan as a software engineer. I'm with the software team that make, well, software for Canon digital cams.
I'm an avid reader, have been since I was a kid. During last few years my reading habits waned a lot, but that's only until I discovered Goodreads a year ago. Since then, I'm back on reading, good.
I'm a big fan of Sci-Fi, Arthur C Clarke and Michael Crichton being two of my favorite authors. I've read all of MC's and most of Clarke's books. Other than that I also have a keen interest in non fiction science books, particularly in evolutionary biology and cosmology. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy the likes of The Three Musketeers or Alie in Wonderland. Or the Ultimate Guide to the Universe. I just love books.
~Sach

Hi, I'm Laura Stephenson. I eat way too many cookies, am an avid reader of all types of fantasy, and am about to publish my debut novel on Black Friday. It's a quirky urban fantasy called The Complete Guide to Being Evil, and it's about a young, impetuous mage named Kalara who gets in trouble with a local necromancer. And instead of leaving town, laying low for a while, or trying to appease him, she makes a deal with a devil, to gain more power and win her little magi war.
Hi Everyone!I've just pub a fantasy short story volume on amazon. when I googled showed me this place where people won't mind reviewing? I don't quite know how to give free copies yet but I do have samples on my sites.

Hi everyone,I'm Toby Speed, and I write mysteries, children's books, short fiction and poetry.
My new murder mystery, DEATH OVER EASY, comes out October 9 from Five Star. It's about a woman in a small Long Island village dealing with murder, blackmail and small airplanes. It's available here in giveaways until 10/21.
Untreed Reads' forthcoming anthology, MOON SHOT: MURDER AND MAYHEM ON THE EDGE OF SPACE, will include my short story, "At the Corner of Night and Nowhere." That's coming in early October.
Pleased to meet all of you.
All my best,

Hi Everyone,I'm Silence Welder and I'll read anything I'm recommended once I have the time. I particularly like Clive Barker and anything that feels honest. I like stories that do not pull their punches, without being gratuitous.
I've recently published my first book, which is an erotic romance > http://www.amazon.com/SEVEN-DAYS-eboo...
I'm also into erotic horror.
I found this group because I've just got my author profile and was looking for the Goodreads Author Feedback group. This group came up in my search too and looks great.
Well done and thanks for having me.

Hello all. Reader here. :) I love to read and have recently started taking reviewing more seriously. I've gotten to be friends of a sort with some of the authors that I have done reviews for and greatly enjoy it. I'm on goodreads at least a couple times a day and have started a blog, Facebook and twitter to keep up with authors and share my reviews. I look forward to participating in the group and discovering new authors!
Hi! My name is Jessica Sankiewicz and I love to read and write. I'm working on the final edits of my first novel, If Only We. I also write a book review blog called Thoughts At One In The Morning. Glad to be part of this group and make friends! :)
Hello Everyone! I am a first time author, and have self published my book electronically at Smashwords.com and soon to be released (12 hours) on Amazon.com. For anyone actually interested in holding a copy it can be found at this time on Lulu.com (and will make it's way to Amazon.com soon). The title of my Science Fiction Novel is Red Planet Pioneer - Modulus of Resilience. Through this work I discovered writing has become one of my passions. Thank you Vincent for providing a place where we are permitted to introduce ourselves . . . cheers all!
Hello Steve Downes, published poet, novelist and playwright of the last 20 years, moving from print to e-publishing and loving it.
I'm an historian (classical by training, medieval as a passion) and read a wide range of books, but I am a massive Douglas Adams fan.
Look forward to chatting with you all in the near future
more on me and my work here ... http://stevedownesauthor.webs.com/

Hi all,My name is David and I'm a self-published author from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I've currently released three books and I'm trying to flesh out a fourth at present.
As a teenager I used to write comedy stories on forums that no longer exist (or that I no longer frequent). My particular specialty was sexualising anything and everything and, for a while, I thought that was all I could do.
Skip forward a few (or ten) years to 2012 when there was the boom in erotic fiction. A friend and I were discussing how easy it was to write such books and, not one to let me off the hook, he dared me to write a short erotic story to prove it. I told him that I was too cynical and would end up disgusting people, but he kept the dare anyway and tasked me with writing something that would disgust and arouse in equal measure.
Somehow that turned into an 85,000 word novel, called Life, Love, & Fetish, and was the catalyst for me to begin writing part-time.
My second novel descended into short stories as I tried to ask myself how do I write a story without 50% of the words being about sex. It ended up as a horror story, called Terror! Channel Not Found as I turned 'sex' into 'obsession'.
My third, and most recent novel, Godskin, was the final step in finally finding my 'writer's voice'. It takes on theology with my own warped views and molds it into a fantasy/romance story with warring Gods, unusual characters and situations, and a (hopefully) likable pair of protagonists.
When I'm not writing, I'm reading, and can appreciate all genres. My favorites, however, are horror and fantasy, especially those written by Clive Barker, Stephen King, and Chuck Palahniuk.
I'm looking forward to meeting like-minded people here, getting some good book recommendations, and finding out what people think about my own books.

I'm not sure if you'd be interested, but I just wrote a novel (romance/suspense) and it's now available on Amazon, kindle, nook, ibooks, B&N. It's called Chaysing Dreams. It's been getting 5* reviews. Thought you might be interested. :) Here's my website: www.jalpawilliby.com Thanks Ruth, and nice to meet you. :)
Hello, My pen name is Katy Green, and I write Read Aloud books for the Elderly. I'd like to send you a free e-book of "Our Family Story" for an honest review.
Hi, I'm Courtney Farrell. I am an avid reader (mostly science fiction) and also an author of YA books. Right now I'm fascinated by dystopian futures. My first novel, Enhanced, just launched with Crescent Moon Press, and a sequel will soon follow. Stop by and chat at www.courtneyfarrell.com.Vincent wrote: "Please introduce yourself! Do you write books? Do you just enjoy reading them?
Let us know a little bit more about who you are:"
Good morning, I'm Mark and I write horror and fantasy. I thought it only polite to stick my head in here and introduce myself while I have a rummage around the group.
Hi, I wish to be a writer some day. At the minute I just wish to grow my skills and see what sort of story people are after. Any help in my learning will be greatly appreciated. And if I can give anyone any help at the same time I'm more than happy to.
Hey there, I'm Trevor and I live in South California, Orange County. I have two novels,Letitia Unbound and Letitia Uncrowned, part of a three-part series, on Smashwords and Amazon KDP: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/... and http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ADZ for Letitia Unbound and http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/... and http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3ML2NI for Letitia Uncrowned. The third in the series Letitia Undead is still a WIP.
All three are in the humor and satire category, being a right royal romp through the mystique of monarchy and why it frequently comes to grief. Hint: avoid the Petit Trianon!
My other WIP is Twenty Eighty-four, a speculative, futuristic novel describing the agonies and ecstasies of Monica Talbot, a 25-year-old scientist living in the iconic year 2084. It's George Orwell for technojunkies with a sexy Big Brother and the first draft can be read on http://www.wattpad.com/story/4327490-...
I read all genres and would be happy to chat with others in the group.
Hi everyone,I'm an author that's new to GoodReads. I write non-fiction and fiction books---mostly young adult. My book Retaliation was selected as a top ten Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers by YALSA. And, as a result, my life has changed so much because of the dedication of librarians and readers.
I spend most of my time doing research, writing, and conducting workshops at schools, colleges, and with youth organizations.
Right now, I have a goal setting workbook, "Teens, Handle Your Business," that used to be only available via my workshops, but I have it available for a free e-book download. I would love for you to download it.
If you have teens or young adults in your life who struggle with getting their priorities together, please share the book. It will probably be a great resource.
Here's the link to "Teens, Handle Your Business"
If you review it and let me know, I'll gladly send out a thank you email.

Hello,What a great group! I am honored to be part of it. I am the author of How To Get Out Of This World Alive, a self-empowerment handbook designed to help you break through your psychological subconscious conditioning so you can start making conscious winning choices.
Picasso said that the purpose of art is 'Washing the dust of daily life off our souls'. My work as a philosopher is washing away the subconscious losing choices that we make every day by creating a level of awareness that gives us the chance to make conscious winning choices and to evolve.
I have spent 40 years reading the world's greatest life changing texts in every religion and philosophy. By testing techniques distilled from that learning, I have developed an approach that gives people the benefit of those thousands of years of wisdom and thought, summarized in one practical manual. How to Get out of this world Alive contains within its pages a method of teaching which delivers profound change very quickly for those who are committed to it.
My students, who include leading business people as well as academics studied in these areas, tell me there is nothing else on the market as verifiably effective.
My mission is to reduce the amount of dysfunction in the world by reducing the amount of dysfunction in those who lead it, and to allow anyone who wants to do the work to find their true potential and evolve.
I am open to discussion! Check out my website when you have a change as well www.alainforget.com
Hey, I'm J. I write constantly and I completed my first self-pub a week or so ago (All This and Love, a short story collection available at a variety of e-retailers). It's been roller coaster of an experience. I don't think that I was prepared for the amount of work that goes into everything around the writing.I'm also an avid reader, although I have less time than I used to. I read what sounds interesting regardless of genre. Although, I'm probably more of a fantasy, dark fantasy, urban nut at the moment. I'm reading Heart Shaped Box and it is out and out horror. SO deliciously creepy!
I'm Pam Carey, new to the group. My first book, MINOR LEAGUE MOM: A MOTHER'S JOURNEY THROUGH THE RED SOX FARM TEAMS, was published by Barking Cat Books in 2009. It tells the story of our two sons during their journey through six levels of the minor leagues, without ever reaching the majors. It is also my story, as I transform from a supportive mom to an obsessed fan, to a mom with a new career, when the journey ends. TMy second manuscript, A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR KIDS WITH ELDERLY PARENTS (WHO STILL HAVE THEIR MARBLES) awaits publication. It is a humorous self-help guide, based on the eccentricities and antics of my parents in their nineties. Its target audience is the Baby Boomer generation, who will be negotiating relocations, overseeing illnesses, and dealing with the deaths of parents in the next two decades.

Hi, everyone. I thank Vincent and all you participants for this forum. I'm Steve Goldsmith, a physician in Portland, OR and the author of the recently released The Healing Paradox: A Revolutionary Approach to Treating and Curing Physical and Mental Illness (North Atlantic Books, distributed by Random House). My second book, it concerns the well-documented pattern in health care that anything seemingly good for you is often bad for you, and anything seemingly bad for you can cure you . It is listed on Goodreads and Amazon, with the latter site describing the book and my profile in much more detail.. I would welcome serious and honest reviews in exchange for a free copy.
Take care all!

Hi everyone. My name is Stephanie and I've been a writer my whole life.Somewhat recently I had the opportunity to quit my job and try my hand at writing seriously.
I have a whole world built and many books written/plotted out/thought of in that world, as well as maps drawn, character sketches... I've been living in that world for about seventeen years.
So I finally wrote a full length novel and if I do say so myself, I did quite a good job.
