I love to read historical, historical fiction, bio's, political, paranormal, fiction...just about anything. I own a kindle, so all my books are now in this format...makes it easy to haul my library with me. I'm have a very raw sense of humor. Hello, my name is Henry Yarghn author of Nephilim Awakening : Enkindu. Nephilim Awakening : Enkindu However, I enjoy reading books as well. My comment concerns book cover contests. Is it okay to link a contest to Goodreads from my blog? I have spent the afternoon searching this topic, but I still can't find an answer. By the way, novel to screenplay is not as easy as one might think. There are rules to the length, formatting and such. I'd be happy to help you, and you will also need a format program - I use FinalDraft 7. Easy to use. Henry Yarghn
Paul Douglas Lovell, I'm a new memoirs writer. My story encapsulates my efforts to become a writer, starting from around 18 when I moved to London and struggled to read a full sentence till leaving to begin a new life in Switzerland. It occasionally dips into my deprived childhood but mainly to help establish my character. In the present it follows my career as a rent-boy, a gay male prostitute in UK and LA but is not an erotic tale. It also follows my other career in the music television. As I was raised a Catholic and still pray it touches on religion. Drugs feature strongly as does danger. I feel no shame for my past life. I started off as damaged goods and survived then thrived. My book is 142,000 words, it's being edited and I need REVIEWS. Kind regards PDL

Hi Everyone, I'm Patricia from Asheville, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, featured in my children's book, Beryl's Journey. I've been inspired by the fun of mining trips into remote areas of the mountains and the peaceful feeling there away from the modern world. My book is about a group of characters called the Gemstone Elves and their adventures trying to live in this modern day world. It is a chapter book for ages 6 - 10 with over 150 color illustrations, by which I hope to inspire children to do their own drawing. The eBook of Beryl's Journey is out now on Amazon at $1.99 for a limited time, and the print book, published by CreateSpace, will be out in a couple of days. I think that both girls and boys will enjoy these stories,as well as their younger brothers and sisters, and the whole family. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18...
Hello Vincent and everyone of you who have introduced yourselves and/or given comments. Here's my intro...
I have been a blogger since 2007 at http://issuesoncall.blogspot.com. This year I have started a new blog that has been going for about 9 months now at http://www.oneutahmom.com . I love doing this because I can just say what I want to say, which I usually do anyway (even if it is dorky).
I am working on two books. One is personal and one is a action/thriller that I have been working on for years. However, as all writers seem to have to do, I have other work. I have a virtual book tour site at http://www.virtualbooktourvoila.com and I am a freelance graphic and web designer at http://www.inspiredlemonade.com (so to be changed to By Natasha Call or something with my name). I also have a portfolio on Behance.
I am also a homemaker and mom to two awesome teen boys with Asperger's Syndrome and severe social anxiety. In addition, and really first off, I am a wife to the most awesome man on the planet. I am truly blessed and happy!
Thanks for putting together an introduction group! There is abundance in this business and we should all add each other and follow one another so we can learn from each other.
I am currently representing a publisher who has me working on a new virtual tour/PR for "In Search of the Fun-Forever Job: Career Strategies that Work" by Ellis Chase (http://www.amazon.com/In-Search-Fun-F...). In addition, I have another publisher who has me working on a virtual tour/PR for "Country Tied" by Robyn Buttars (http://www.amazon.com/Country-Tied-eb...).
I'd love readers to read and review these two books! If you are interested, please let me know so I can get you a copy for free, in exchange for an honest and well written review.
I am so excited to go through all of these thousands of entries on this intro! I see so much talent! I am very impressed and thrilled for our community who love the written word!
Just want to say hello to everyone again...I'm sure my post has gotten lost in all the newcomers Welcome =)I love reading and writing they along with music are my passion. I a published author. My book

Hello everyone, my name is Meloni Harris-Barber and I'm the author of Atypical Journey. I'm really excited because my book was recently released about three months ago it's doing well. The ironic thing is today, I received a review from KIRKUS and the reviewer wrote that my book was "empowering/raw but it is offensive to people in the gay community because one of the characters made a moral decision not to relate to a close friend because of his sexuality. Has anyone had a review that really did not resonate with you NOR the vast majority of ur readers? If so, what did you do about it?

Hello everyone, I'm Laurie Elrod a fantasy writer from South Carolina. I love to daydream and create worlds that take a reader far, far away from reality. When I'm not writing I am being a wife and mother, an artist, and a student of anything that strikes my fancy. (I'm currently teaching myself how to animate for a video. YouTube tutorials are the bomb!) Anyway, I'm fairly new to Goodreads, and am slowly making my way around this awesome site. I hope to meet many of you--send me a friend request if you like. Thank you for the chance to introduce myself. Y'all have a great day!BTW, my book, Blackridge-Book One of the So'ladiun debuted in June.
Hi there. I am so glad to be here with you all. My name is Ali Dent and I am an author! It's taken a LONG time to be able to say those words. I am very excited about it.
My first book releases August 30. It's called The LITClub, an easy step-by-step guide for designing a classical book club. It's designed for people ages 7-70+. The idea is to make reading a fun experience by sharing dinner and a book together. It's a great design for those who have always wanted to read the classics but can't seem to find the time.
I have a YA Fantasy WIP that is so much to work on.
Have a great day!

Hey T.H. I stopped by your Facebook Page and "liked" it. I also took a look at the review(s) on Goodreads. That's great!
From one author to another and from someone who does PR/virtual book tours for authors, you need your book out on Smashwords and on Amazon. I didn't see it come up in the search on either so I am assuming that it is not on those.
Also, once you get your book on those, you need to be sure that those who review your book get the reviews published on both Goodreads and Amazon.
Great luck!

Friday is winding down in NZ. Not a great day, dull and cloudy. My name is Gerry and I live in rural North Canterbury. My latest book is "The Charity" which is a story of fraud and corruption in a national charity. It is "what would you do?" type of story.
New Zealand is a miniscule market. What little we had of a publishing industry has been decimated of late.
After a lifetime [it seems] of writing business letters and reports writing fiction is a great relaxation.
My website is:

It feel as if I am in a constant losing battle with technology.

Greetings, I'm an author. I've written one book, a memoir/biography titled A Requiem, Armenian Style.

I want to be reviewed by a typical straight man. Not one with hang ups that shouts at a football match to show his mates just how butch he is. Just one with no interest in Gay writing will do. As I have absolutely no interest in reading 50 shades of woteva, I'm sure there are plenty guys who have no interest in the life and times of a cheap rent-boy. It's sounds like I'm searching for a slating of my book BUT I ain't. I'm trying to work out what genre my work fits and if it can interest the last slot in my demographic.
