Teresa Arrowood | 9 comments Hello Everyone
My name is Teresa and my first book is now available through Xlibris and Amazon. Standing in the Eye of the Storm has been a challange at times to get written and published but it has now made it debut. I can't wait to see what it does. The Story line is on two abuse survivors and how they found each other.
I am a critical nurse in a small rural hospital and I have always wanted to write stories that were truw to life and what others could relate to and touch them. The experience of writing this book could not have not been done if not for God , he held the pen.
Please take the time and look at Chapter 1 on this site or go to the previous sites listed for more information.
Chasing rainbows always

I created a page for my debut novel several days ago but nobody has put it on their to-read list yet. =( Any ideas on how I can get the ball rolling without being spammy would be appreciated!

B.C. Minton (bcminton) | 2 comments Hello everyone! My name is B. C. Minton and I am the author of Jagg: Origins part one, the first book of The Elementi Saga. It is a Fantasy & Sci-Fi novel that has been out since February of this year. It intermingles elements of romance, thriller, and the paranormal throughout not just this book, but all Jagg books in the future. So everything from demi-gods to elves or demons will be in these novels. For those who are interested, here is the link on Amazon, where it is also available on Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Jagg-Origins-El....

With that being said, if your interest is piqued and you decide to read it, I would be pleased to receive a review either on here, on Amazon, or both if at all possible. I also have a Facebook that I use for promotion purposes: www.facebook.com/jaggorigins. If you want to, you can click on "Like" to receive Jagg updates, excerpts, quotes, and news on future works or book signings.

As for more on me, I have a B.A. in English degree with the hope of getting a M.A in English degree someday. I am happily married for two years with a beautiful woman that I have been with for over 5 years. She supports and inspires me every step of the way in my writing endeavors. And that is all I can say about me! :)

Trevor Zaple (trevor_zaple) | 13 comments Hello friendly friends, my name is Trevor Zaple and I just want someone to read m'damn book. Is that so much to ask? It is? Alright then.

I've written two novels thus far, one of which I've taken the plunge and published through KDP - a mistake, as it turns out, but life is full of these learning moments. The novel is Disappearance and if you like post-apocalyptic survival, books about Toronto, or "chug-a-lug comic novels" (as a friend put it) then you're in luck! Like so many of us, I'm willing to trade free books for reviews (and my soul for a publishing contract, but that's a discussion for another time) so PM me if you're interested/uninterested/insane. Thanks, and I look forward to discussions here!

Sam Richardson (Xine150) | 9 comments What's up everybody? I am Sam Richardson and I love to write anything that puts my creativity to the test. I have the first of a series of six already published. It goes by the title The Fall of Scourge. It is only 32 pages of actual text, but it sets the baseline for the series. I'm thinking the series should be called "War For The Universe" but I am open to suggestions. I basically hope that people enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed seeing it play out in my head as I wrote it. And if this post isn't fitting the guidelines for posting, then hit me up with a message and I'll try to fix it.

Hi everyone!
I'm Kim, someone who has always wanted to be a writer and is excited to finally see my work in print.
At this point my humor essays have been in two anthologies, and I wrote a collection of fictional short stories (see link below). I'm in the process of writing a query letter for my 1st fictional YA book, which feels like SUCH a big deal, because this one is my "baby." I will likely write a sequel, if not a trilogy off of this one.
I love reading, and wish I had been better at keeping track of the books I've read since signing up here in 2008. I only recently came back to goodreads, and don't know why I ever left!
Most people who know me are at first familiar with my blog, Let Me Start By Saying, which is fun to write while working on fiction manuscripts behind the scenes.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!
Kindly,
Kim

Adam Berk (mythpunk1) | 2 comments What's it going to be then, eh, oh my brothers (and sisters)?

Well, if you like urban fantasy stories about witches and dragons filled with action, humor, and mind-bending metaphysical mayhem all set like an IED in the laconic suburbs of San Diego, CA, then this is the book for you!

It's called Coven of the Crystal Frog and you can find it on Amazon for the kindle or at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/mythpunk1 for the nook (although with the right reader program you can download it to most other devices).

Read. Enjoy. Review it and I promise I'll return the favor.

Blessed be.

Charles Graeber (charlesgraeber) | 5 comments Hi Vincent-

I'm Charles Graeber and I have a new book:

The Good Nurse; A true story of medicine, madness and murder.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/14...

As the subtitle suggests, the book is non fiction, what several reviewers have called "literary true crime".

I started the book over 7 years ago, when the most prolific serial killer in American history first agreed to start meeting with me. But I soon discovered that Charles Cullen was only part of the story.

Reviews from Kirkus, The New York Times, etc, as well clips from "60 Minutes", "Katie", "Fresh Air", etc, and more info goodies pictures and contact can be found at this website

www.Charlesgraeber.com

There's a Goodreads giveaway this weekend,

http://bit.ly/135Z13v

for which I'm far too slowly coming up to speed with my goodreads account- which seems like a really good way for readers and writers to engage on books and the ideas which animate them.

I look forward to seeing where this leads- the mission of the book was to create a piece of bulletproof investigative journalism which could still read fast and hard like a thriller. But the book itself is only the beginning...

The entire book including the sample chapters is a free borrow for Amazon Prime members.

My name is Dean Talley and I'm going to tell you how I became a rogue cop. After twelve years on the streets I'd been able to move my badge from my shirt to my belt started working homicide. The combination of a broken justice system and bearing witness to the horrors one person can inflict on another had pushed me to the edge. My boss and the other cops could see I was headed to a meltdown. I began working cases alone, pushing the paper and feeding the system.

That ended the day my wife became a victim. Holding her hand as she lay tethered to machines I decided to turn my back on the job and the majesty of The Law. I created my own system of jurisprudence. No motions. No deliberations. There is only the verdict and passage of sentence.

Anne-Marie Klein (behindblueeyesnovels) | 1 comments Hi, I'm Anne-Marie Klein, writer of the rock fiction series "Behind Blue Eyes". They're available in paperback and ebook formats, and are best described as a late 70s rock and roll themed love story and family saga. I'm working on the fourth and last book of this series, and have found the biggest irony of the writer's life is that I have so little time to read these days. I'm a huge fan of mysteries, especially Ian Rankin, Reginald Hill, Mo Hayder, and P.D. James, although I could never write one to save my life.

I'm hoping to take a big reading break after I knock off the last one to catch up on all the books on my 'to-read' list. Nice to meet you all, and I hope I can pop in here a bit to share ideas and see what everyone is up to.

Cheers,
Anne-Marie

John Lee (johnleelbk) | 6 comments Hi everyone. I am the Author of, Legend of the Black Knight, the first in a three part book series. I recently self published back in April of this year. My book is an action/adventure story about a man that joins a anti-terrorist organization, that was formed to counter a secret domestic terrorist group, that was formed and operates in the United States. My main character volunteers and undergoes a high-risk experiment, which gives him abilities far greater than any normal human. However, he must give up all his memories, and leave behind everything to do it. It was originally set to be a comic book series, but instead, fate took me in a different direction, and I found a love for writing that I never knew I had. Anyway, I'm glad to be part of the group and if you're curious about my book, all the information can be found on my Author page. Thanks.

Heather Meyer | 16 comments Hello everyone. My name is Heather Meyer and my first novel, The Music Box, a romance/love story, will be live on Amazon July 22nd.
While it has some NA themes, I think it will appeal more to the 30 something crowd.
I will be giving away signed paperback copies to the first fifty people who purchase the Kindle version and leave a review on Amazon.

Intro:

The greatest gift my father ever gave me was his suicide on my fourteenth birthday.

I’m sure a statement like that conjures up all manner of vile images of what kind of man he must have been, but it’s not what most would imagine.
Since that day, my entire life has revolved around the struggle to understand.

Death has always been and will always be a part of life. For some, it brings sorrow; for others, relief. For most, it brings questions about why and about what happens next, for the dead and for the living. For me, it brought all of the above.
Behind every life lost is a story: a road paved with joy and with sorrow, with small triumphs and great tragedies, with love and love lost, and the only ones to tell their stories are those left behind.
I had my own story, one that demanded to be told, if for no one but myself.

A tiny cabin in the woods would be my sanctuary, my studio: a place to paint the portrait of my life through words on a page, one stroke at a time, with the hope that someday I could step back and see the whole meaning more clearly and finally understand.
