My recently published novel, NO STONE UNTURNED, is a mystery/romance set in Orange County, California and is told through the adventures of probation officer Linda Davenport. My 26 year career in probation ensures that the reader will get an accurate glimpse into this field, while enjoying an engrossing story. NO STONE UNTURNED is available in paperback as well as on Kindle through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com and many other online websites. Hi all! My name is Lacey Weatherford. I'm an author and a reader! I've been on Goodreads for a little bit, but just getting around to joining message boards. I love this site too! What a fun way to connect with other readers!
I'm Lynda Williams, author of the Okal Rel Saga (10 novel sci fi series published by Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy) and editor of the Okal Rel Legacies series from Absolute XPress featuring stories set in the universe of the saga. I am also a reader and lover of stories and those who create them. My day job is in the education sector. I taught computer science for about twenty years and am now an administrator with a community college. My goal is to complete my saga by 2012 and to publish others who enjoy it enough to express their own "rel" and talents through an Okal Rel Legacies story.
Hello! I'm Kirstin van Dyke, the author of Code Name: Silence. I originally started writing (very) short books when I was 7, but when I was 12, my interest in writing full-length novels (20,000 words or more) started to take off. I've written three full-length novels so far, but Code Name: Silence is my debut novel. So far, I've gotten some very positive reviews from those who've read it; you can read some of those reviews right here on goodreads!Right now, I'm continuing work on getting my other novels ready to go to press, including the sequel to Code Name: Silence, which I'm hoping to have out at the end of this year, or right at the begininng of next year.
You can learn more about me on my author page here on goodreads: Kirstin van Dyke
Or on Amazon.com: My author page
Or at the Code Name: Silence official site: CodeNameSilence.com
It's a pleasure to meet fellow authors here on goodreads! I hope to see you around!

Hi Everyone,My name is Robert Stadnik and I am BOTH a science fiction author and reader. Nothing helps relieve the stress than getting away from reality in a good book.
I recently published the first book in my Exodus series of novels called Exodus Of The Phoenix. The premise surrounds an inexperienced crew commanding an experimental starship who are searching for an alien race that has prevented humanity from exploring space for decades. It's currently available in paperback and Kindle e-book format at amazon.com.
Tofind out more about my book you can visit my website....www.robertstadnik.com.
The site also links to my YouTube channel where I have posted several teaser trailers about some of the characters in the novel. I've been really enjoying creating other outlets for my novel.
The second book in the series, A Phoenix Amongst The Stars, will be coming out early next year.
My name is Malcolm J. Croan, but I am called Callum. (Gaelic for Malcolm) I am Scottish, but now live in Newfoundland Canada. (Cherchie la famme, I must confess.) My book is entitled ‘Right Hand Up To God,’ and is a global thriller with teeth. If any of you are familiar with WeBook.com, it was first in last years members vote, and my kids/ya book ‘Princess Sheeba’ took second place. ‘PS’ will shortly be published as an e.book by Fairy Tales and Dreams.
Sample chapters, and reviews of ‘RHG’ can be viewed on my website: http://www.wix.com/IntThriller/Malcol...
Glad to talk to anybody, any time.
Greetings, I am Lori Carrington, writing under L. Anne Carrington. I suppose I can officially call myself an author since getting a paperback offer from Night Publishing earlier this week for "The Cruiserweight." The book is in its final editing stages, and I still plan to release it in electronic reader and ebook forms as well. I have three nosy cats, am an avid reader, writer, lover of all things art and culture, and just enjoy life.
Welcome Lori, which just happens to be the name of the heroine in my book 'Right Hand Up To God.' I just thought I would mention that. My Lori gets away with murder, more than once, but one cant help but like her.Good luck with your book, yours MJC-Callum

Hi everyone! I am an author of two books, entirely different from one another. The first one is a contemporary version of a Christian devotional with inspirational poems, prayers, and illustrative teachings and principles. My latest is a romance/drama novel exploring the journey of a woman's pursuit of her calling, her dream, and the love of her life. The story unfolds in the process of her journey as you follow Sarah (main character) as she contends with religion, surrenders her fear, and pursues love!

My name is Scott Evans and I am the author of Memoirs of a bar steward, a story that is loosely based on and inspired by my own life at the very start of the 21st Century. In the year 2000 I was 18 years old and moved, with my family and some friends, from the city of Birmingham to Torquay in the southwest of Devon. My family had just bought the lease of a public house that over looked the sea and I was its licensee, the youngest licensee in the country at that time. I should had gone to university, I had passed all of my A levels, but presented with the opportunity to run a lively pub in a busy seaside town I opted to do that instead. Was it the right choice? Probably not. Do I regret it? Not at all. I had a great couple of years and it was where I met my future wife and now I have two beautiful children and a very good life.
It was when I was working in the pub that I first started writing. After watching the first Lord of the Rings movie at the cinema I read the book, which was the book that made me fall in love with reading. So during the grave yard shifts during the day when not many customers came in, I began thinking up stories of my own. My first story was a fantasy, one about the after life and a epic journey, but more importantly the start of it was about a young man who had moved to a seaside town, and it was this segment that I later went on and developed into a full comedy story all of its own.
For Memoirs of a bar steward I drew on my own experiences and knowledge of a young person running a pub. The characters in my book are inspired by people I have met and my friends and family, however whereas my character Jacob Cox is troubled by virtually everyone he knows and is related to, I am happy to say I have a wonderful, if a little eccentric group of family and friends. If you read my book you might like to know that a lot of the incidences in it are largely based on real events, while others are only based a little on events I have experienced but I will leave you to wonder which could be based on truth or are completely fictional.
I am always happy to answer questions and if you would like to get in touch you can do at scott.evans@live.co.uk

Hi! I'm KC and I'm a reader and Goodreads author. I've posted an intro for my novel at http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...I currently live in Georgia and work as a full-time writer. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm probably playing with (or training) my Rottweiler, Dandie, who (I hope) will some day become a registered therapy dog.
Mostly I read/write science fiction and fantasy, but I love a good mystery/thriller from time to time, and an occasional horror story.
Nice meeting y'all!

Hi, I am Alan Sakowitz. I am new to Goodreads and am excited to become more involved. Last year I was a whistleblower in South Florida's largest fraud, a Madoff-like Ponzi scheme. Scott Rothstein, the CEO of a major Ft. Lauderdale law firm was the fraudster. Miles Away... Worlds Apart details my experiences from the inside and describes the power of family and community when choosing between greed and helping others. I am looking for my book to be reviewed and am willing to provide e-copies to anyone willing to do so. It is a fast paced thriller even though it is nonfiction. Miles Away... Worlds Apart
Hello! I'm Valmore Daniels and I make stuff up.Like "Forbidden The Stars", a hard sf book about the events surrounding the first faster than light space flight.
And "An Old-Fashioned Folk Tale", an homage to the old fantasy masters like C.S. Lewis, L. Frank Baum and Lewis Carroll.
I'm slowly getting the hang of goodreads and I like it!
Hi! I'm Zack Hamric and I'm a writer. I tend to live vicariously through my characters, so you'll find exotic sports cars, beautiful women, and just generally good guys trying their best to protect civilization as we know it....I'd invite you to join me for the ride on CRESCENT RISING currently with 5 Five Star ratings on Amazon...

...and if you enjoy sailing and are ever in Sarasota, drop me a line- I'm always looking for a crew for Dolce Vita- a 1969 Whitby that's featured in my second book Blank Slate- release date in October...

This is why I love Goodreads; where else would I have the chance to be acquainted with such an amazing group of writers and readers? My name is Hilary McLean and I have been writing for most of my years. I began to get serious when I had a cast of characters and a terrific story idea which could not be ignored. Fifth Sun: The Awakening is a fiction novel that asks what would happen as an ancient prophecy about the end of the world came to pass in the modern world.
I was a recent participant in the Goodreads Giveaway program and have been a part of Goodreads for about a year. Thanks to all for the support and encouragement in the many forums!

Hello! My name is William Burt. I am a long-time fantasy aficionado and author. I particularly enjoy Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. The first title in my "King of the Trees" fantasy series is: The King of the Trees.Book VII in the series came out just last week. Here is a synopsis of that sequel, The Birthing Tree, taken from the book's back cover:
"Ravaging the drought-stricken world of Lucambra, dragons have trapped Prince Elwyn and the royal family inside their tower. Hope is dwindling when Elwyn unearths an ancient urn containing a mysterious relic and clues to Lucambra’s plight. Fending off relentless
foes bent on stealing the relic, Elwyn joins forces with a princess scarred by her dark past. After recovering a long-lost treasure, they find both peril and bliss beneath the Birthing Tree.
Book VII in the 'King of the Trees' series, The Birthing Tree portrays a King whose loving purposes surpass all mortal comprehension."

Hi everyone! I'm Kathleen and I'm the author of the four-part Macsen's Treasure Series, historical novels set in fifth century Britain. I'm also a reader--mostly historical fiction but I enjoy literary fiction and the occasional thriller as well. These are my books:Into the Path of Gods, In the Shadow of Dragons, The Anvil Stoneand A Land Beyond Ravens
I'm currently re-editing Into the Path of Gods for an ebook edition. It was published 12 years ago and my writing and research skills have both improved so much that the book doesn't match the tone of the later three. Once I'm done with this, it's on to another project!
Nice to meet you all!
Welcome to the group, Kathleen. I write a series of fantasy novels for young people myself. Good luck with your own series!

I love this groups' rule outline and clarity which makes for better order within posts. I'm M.D. Birmingham and to be honest I haven't been able to do much leisure reading since Feb 11th, 2007. The year of 2007 after awakening (emerging & merging) from my 63 day non-responsive coma reading wasn't an ability that I was easily capable to do. It's not because I couldn't read and comprehend (as with illiteracy), or my earlier stages of hand dexterity deficits (no gross motor skills). It wasn't because of shortened attention span due to stimuli overload; it was my double vision (best generally explained as a side effect from my coma and injury nature of DAI). Whether it was a large magazine page or typically sized book, whenever I looked at the words on the page it was like staring at a “wordsearch.” All the letters were jumbled on the page and it took much consistent effort to retrain my vision to follow the page line by line; along with my mind. Aside from books and pages with writing, typical exit signs and labels with writing (on doors, etc) that I encountered in my "world" (inpatient hospitalized stay) were seen either as a “wordsearch” or double. The double vision caused the same object to appear as you would see if you were to cross your eyes while reading this. One set of the writing is slightly off to the other side (left or right) and a bit lower than its "twin." I did overcome this challenge through the help of time and creating my own strategies to no longer see double but only one object (like 1year olds or younger, vision tests were obviously not possible). Needless to say, that was only one challenge I overcame to write my own autobiography titled Getting There... and yes I did type it entirely prior to submitting as a galley; along with this whole message.
During the final days to my book’s “being” before becoming "live" to the public I made the website www.getting-therebook.com which contains links to the web address (photos, etc) mentioned in the book. You are welcome to follow my trail of "crumbs" that will lead you to both desire more and satiation.
Needles to say monetary gain obviously isn't my motive for I have enough physical challenges to still defeat.
"Your" day begins when you have humility for time and acceptance of other humans!”

Good luck with your new venture, M.D. It sounds as if you've had many physical obstacles to overcome!
Glad I decided to do alittle "searching" on Goodreads in the group section. Look what I found, this group. Very excited.
I reside in Atlanta with my biggest-supporter, my husband. We celebrate our 11 year anniversary in September. We have a spoiled but playful dog who turns 12 in September.
He loves popcorn, corn and most everything else.
I like books that don't include vampires, cults, religion, erotica, witchcraft, magic or things related. Just give me a good tear jerker or suspense-spy-who done it type of book and I'm good.
I'll be posting information about my book, Color Me Jazzmyne in the section is relates to. Would love the support of the group and of course I will support as well.
I'm Denise. I was always an avid reader. For many years, after a degree in foreign languages, I loved to read the classics both in English and French and/or Russian. I read everything I could get my hands on. Then, life happened. My teenage son became a drug addict and I completely lost focus of everything except addiction. The only reading I could do was anything relating to curing my son. Of course, I eventually learned that I had no control over that. Anyway, I developed a plan for serenity and hope for myself and ended up writing my own book. Very crazy since I never had the goal of writing. In fact, sometime in my childhood someone convinced me that writing was a bad thing and would "catch up to me" if I wrote something I couldn't take back. So, now as an author, I have become part of author groups and am learning to, once again, focus on pleasure reading. Hopefully, I will be able to recapture my love for reading for reading sake.
Hi everyone,My name is Evelyn Byrne and I write paranormal romance. My first book Unknown Magic debuted in June and the second Stolen Magic will be out in December. Hi Everyone,My name is John Cicero and I am a fantasy/adventure author. My passion for writing is driven from the joy I receive from reading my stories to my children.
Watching the expressions on their faces as I take them on a journey through the magical pages of my imagination is what drives me to find the time to write.
My recently released novels are in the Rainbow's Shadow Trilogy. They are Rainbow's Shadow and the tablets of fate and Rainbow's Shadow And The Covenant Of Wisdom.
The final novel in my trilogy is Rainbow’s Shadow and the Other Side of Paradise which is currently in development.

Hi...this is Bo, author who pawed BAD TO THE BONE: Memoir Of A Rebel Doggie Blogger. It's my first book and the first memoir written by a dog to ever be nationally published in non-fiction. My book is 100% funny, 100% true. The only tears you'll cry are tears of laughter. I dedicated my book to all the rescue and shelter workers who make this world a better place, one animal at a time, and donate 10% my proceeds to homeless pets.

My name is Kristen. I'm a high school English teacher and a prolific reader, especially of YA books. I love dystopian, paranormal, historical, and realistic fiction. The only things I write are comments on essays, an occasional post, and grants to bring more books to my school. I've been working with my fellow teachers to get our high schoolers to read as much as they can and get in touch with the book industry.

Hi Anna, have you heard about Bostick:
http://www.bostickcommunications.com/
They are a press release company that goes out to book reviewers, I had great luck with over 60 inquiries for my book Hollywood Stories: Short, Entertaining Anecdotes About the Stars and Legends of the Movies! My book is non-fiction but it might be worth it to give them a call, their price for a book release is very reasonable.

My name is Paul Hamden and I have written two books, The first book is called "Spiritual Guides, Mediumship and Dimensional energies" it contains information about meditation, the inner self and supports a person through opening and finding their spiritual abilities. It will be released next week.
The second book "Alien Interaction - Communication with Extraterrestrials" was released last week, and is a conversation between 5 people who are in contact with ...you guessed it...ET. (It can be a real stretch for some people)
The Third book is currently being written and is a continuation of the dialogue between the ET and the group.
I personally rejected the whole Alien interaction process for many years until it became obvious that unless i "just allowed the flow" they wouldn't go away. And to add the cream to the cake... the people who are in contact with the ET actually see them...
I never saw my self as a person who would write books, but I have found it to be a great source of delight!
The first book: Spirit Guides.
