I checked in the Librarians' Manual & no limit is mentioned. (that doesn't mean there isn't one though)
So you could be right. Try adding one quote per day. Please don't use ALLCAPS even if that is how it appears in the book.
The other possibility is that you are experiencing a bug. I've got one which makes deleting quotes for members very time consuming.
But try again & see how you get on. :)

Can you tell me the name of the author & the name of the book?
It's not a poem, it's a satire on the ten commandments. The book is Dicionário do Diabo (The Devil's Dictionary), by Ambrose Bierce, and it's a compilation of satirical definitions.

I'm not sure if that is allowed (can another librarian look at please) but I can't edit this, as the bug has worsened.
I was doing some work on quotes on A Caribbean Mystery when I noticed the book title had disappeared. I tried to backtrack & not save, but it didn't do any good. The book title had gone from the list.
I decided to see if I could add a new quote to this book & the only reason I managed it was that the second time I tried I found a misspelt copy. I then had to merge that with the other editions.
So unfortunately all I can do is work on quotes by notable people who don't don't have a book involved or delete quotes in the rare instances this is allowed - as long as it has no more than 9-11 likes (never been able to find out the exact amount.)
I asked Support if they could put up a 'sticky' thread in this folder, but this part of my email wasn't addressed. Sorry about that! :)

It looks like this bug has been fixed, so I have corrected the author name & added the book. Tbh, I'm still not sure if a satire that looks like a poem is allowed, but I have added. Be aware that this was very closed to the maximum word count. :)
