well..this looks really good....what are the first 2 books..and has anyone read any of them? anyone?? I read a fiction book called the Romanov Conspiracy...and found it really fascinating...it is set in modern times but covers the romanov's.
I added The Kitchen Boy: A Novel of the Last Tsar to the bookshelf, but I'm not sure if it's part of this trilogy. I also came across Rasputin's Daughter, but I'm not sure if it's part of the trilogy either. They certainly seemed related (at least the subject matter). I was curious too about what the first two books were.Welcome to the group Robert, and thank you for telling us about your webcast!
Yes, The Kitchen Boy, Rasputin's Daughter, and my new historical novel, The Romanov Bride are essentially a series of books focusing in and around the fall of the Romanov Dynasty and the turmoil of the Russian Revolution. I've been going to Russia for 32 years...and have been studying this period for a long time. The book trailers on my website do a pretty good job of explaining each book...and I would welcome visitors and questions during my webcast. Thanks, Robert
I was able to catch the last 10 minutes of Robert's book club at 100pm (Eastern Time), and it was really interesting! There seems to be a bunch of dates and times, so if you missed it, you should be able to catch it again. I have a quick question for Robert - is each date and time it's own show or is it a repeat of this first show? (You just talked about the next shows on your webcast, so I get the feeling each show is live.) If each is it's own show, is it possible to watch the older ones (I have no idea how webcasting works, so this may not be possible - I would hate to ask questions someone else already asked though)? Thanks for letting us know about this!
Hi...yes, each show is live -- I hope it will all feel immediate and like a real author appearance. We might post them later, but please don't worry about a repeat question! There are new and different viewers all the time, so any question, any time would be wonderful. Earlier today I had viewers from Exeter, England all the way to Hawaii. I got nothing but good feedback, and would love folks from goodreads to attend. Best, Robert

I'm just dropping a note to let you know that starting April 16 I'm webcasting a live book club direct from my home office. I'll be discussing my historical novels set in Russia, and viewers from around the world will be able to see and hear me; I'll be answering email questions in real time. Hope you can join me...and please invite friends and book clubs. Take care, Robert (Alexander)
