New and hello from the Netherlands

i recently joined this group and i'm really excited to start. my name is Kim, i'm 21 years old and i live in the Netherlands. i read loads of books, Dutch and English.

i just wanted to say hello before joining discussions. so - hello!

Hi Kim! It's nice to meet you! My husband (Wim) is from the Netherlands, so we get to go back there often. We currently live in Iowa, but he's from Heemskerk. :)

Jenni, how did you meet? Heemskerk is very close to the sea isn't it? i've never been there, i live close to Assen which is on the other side of the country. almost.

We met in Iowa back in 1996 - he was visiting mutual friends... and we became friends. Since then, I've lived in the Netherlands for awhile, and now we are back in Iowa. We get to go back pretty much every year. Heemskerk is quite close to the sea. I'd guess it's a 10 to 15 minute drive. I've never been to Assen, the closest I've been to you is Zwolle.
