shannon is the only one somewhat accurate. aoife is okay, but she's supposed to be curvy and have longer hair. the boys are not accurate at all. I hope they're at least super good actors and really embrace the characters

at first i was so so annoyed but doing more research into it, if you look on their socials you can gauge looks a lot better. the casting pics were horrible, so bad and did not do them justice at all. i’m just curious to see how they manage the minor details that are major parts of the book like hair + eye colour/texture.
but also like acting ability, accents, location and set quality, camera and directing ability, script and music choice all are such huge factors that help everything else so idk, i just really truely hope it’s done right but if it’s anything from the casting photo itself i’m scared.
but also considering its based in 2005 like surely they’d have like to make changes to the actors for the characters themselves anyways.
they would’ve never been able to cast perfectly but i just hope they manage to do them somewhat justice.

Controversial opinion but, I lowkey think that the casting isn’t that bad, at first I hated it, but they could have done so much worse! And Chloe’s manager had to post on insta about the hate, which I find really sad since the series contains bullying and that is basically what the fans are doing to the actors…

BUT idm Johnny too much (not too bad on his insta but just not how I pictured him)
I'm just disapointed that aoife isn't that accurate considering both Lizzie and Claire are going to be tall skinny blonde girls too

yesss I totally agree with this. Shannon I can def see, there's room for improvement with Johnny. But Joey and Aoife...(no hate on the people who play them, they're just not how I pictured them).

im not sure i'll even watch it, even tho it's my favorite book series, mostly cuz im scared it'll ruin the books for me. maybe i will but idk. but the casting is lowkey so buns🙏

⤿ shannon - hers is actually good. i always pictured her as that one girl pinterest always uses for her, but the girl they chose is probably more time-accurate. HOWEVER, her eyes aren't midnight blue, or even BLUE at that, which is lowkey a big part of her character

⤿ johnny - ok he's kind of hot. and he's ripped too like what. so, if we're talking body, then accurate. but the hair and face-card bro. he's not ugly, but it doesn't really fit his character. like what is that curly hair bro.

⤿ aoife - she's alright. the girl they cast is so beautiful, and i think the hair & face really matches aoife. but in the book it described her as curvy and stuff, which the actress is not.

⤿ joey - i'm sorry dude but wtf. he's hot, but he does not look like joey AT ALL. joey was described as tatted and blonde, which this guy is NOT.

anyways, the casting isn't THAT bad, in fact i think it's kind of 2005 accurate, and the actors are all very beautiful people, but they don't really match the way the characters were described in the books.
