Good day.

I'm helping out an author adding books to his profile: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show..., but when I try to add a book (I have 24 to add), these 2 profiles pop up and says the books are already added: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... and https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... . Am I missing something? Are these real profiles, as the client doesn't have access to these?
If it is profiles and the books are scattered across non-active profiles, what do we do in a case like this?

If all the books on the author profile belong to the author you are helping you can ask support to merge the profiles.
If it is just some of the books you can edit each edition as necessary and correct the author name.

Are you a librarian? If not you should not be editing or adding other people's books.

They are not a librarian, but they themselves are the author they are trying to help.

If your Amazon profile here is correct:
https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/...

then all the books in this Goodreads profile also appear to be yours (please check):
https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

If that is the case, please contact Goodreads Support so they can merge the profiles, as Martin advised. You were assigned the two-space profile even though you appear to be the only author with this name, so there should only be one profile for it.

Librarians cannot merge these when one of the profiles is already verified. A merge would also move the followers and topics to the correct profile.

If only some of the books are yours, please create a request in the Book & Author Page Issues folder and include the specific book links that need to be moved to your profile.

Also, your post was made in “Questions (from Librarians only)”, which is intended for librarian use. In future, please use “Questions (not edit requests)” when posting questions.
