I have the newest Paperwhite, bought it a few months ago. Sometimes, it gives me a pop up saying 'critical device error e4' and I'm not sure what triggers this. Thought I had too many books or was downloading too many at once, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.
When I get this error, it has me restart my Kindle. It seems random if it restarts and everything is okay, if it restarts and my books undownload themselves, or if it gets stuck on a blank white screen and I have to force a reset using my laptop. I don't remember my older Kindle giving me these issues (not that much older than this one, I got it maybe a couple years ago?).
