Thanks, do you have any suggestions? If there is enough interest, I'll post an official thread for people to keep track of points on.
umm maybe we shoud make a dicussion thread called "book contest" and then make new topics for new books, like one topic, fantasy books. then realistic fic. etc..
I would definetely agree to a group read as long as the book was something fairly popular because my library charges money to do interlibrary loans :(
I know, but I live two hours from the closest city and its not even in my state, so what do I expect?
wat book should we start with?? how any of u have read the hunger games by suzanne collins who wrote the gregor series
I have read the hunger games and the giver. I might have read tithe right when it came out, I really can't remember. I know I could get tithe or maximum ride series from my library and hunger games too, probably the rest, but I'm not positive.
my teacher has over 3000 books to chose from so yeah. and im not joking, i think she counted them all.
You are so lucky that you have so many books to choose from just from your teacher, thats not even including libraries and stuff. I'm going to head over to my library tomorrow (well, later today technically but I haven't gone to bed yet), so if I see something cool there, I'll bring it up.
mine has 3000 and not counting 1000 more in the closets. we keep getting new orders of books and she has me literally drowning in books. one day i pooured everythng out of my back pack and 25 books made me fall over laughing
What is high heat about? If no one minds, I think I will come up with some catagories for extra points in the reading challenge, they'll be pretty open catagories, like, read a book with a love story in it or read a story where the narrator is female.
high heat is about a boy who is a relief pitcher and he finds out his dad is a drug dealer. when his dad commits suicide he has to learn to live without him and it is his stoy of his baseball life without his dad. its for die hard baseball lovers (like myslef) and i would only recomend it to you if you love baseball and understand it well.
I'm really more of a football fan, I actually only participated in Track/Cross Country when I was in high school, so books about runners and books about football are about the only sports books I can follow if they are really detailed about the sport.
they arent really detailed but it has some baseball topics u wouldnt no if u didnt play baseball. its a great book dont get me wrong. i just think baseball lovers would enjoy this book more than say football ppl

300+ books thats alot. I think i read like 25+ books in my 6th grade year
I know that I read 100 books in one month in 4th grade for a fundraiser. The majority of them were at least 200 pages, but I read a few books to my younger brother too.

That was me until high school too, about the only things I did were read and write and homework. But then in high school, school work got harder and I gained some friends, joined sports, worked in the drama department, I was really busy in high school.
wow at least I know now that im not the only one that is too active

I think this will be a good way to keep reading, I'm interested. :]]

What's Hush, Hush about?
