Free Games:
Whether they have always been free, or the copyright has just expired on them, these are some great games that most all computers should be able to run (and legally to boot).
http://www.nethack.org/ - Nethack is a rougelike game where you make a character and then travel down a massive doungen in efforts to get all of it's treasure. It's famous for the fact that you can do nearly anything in the game, and it will work. Oh, and it's all in ASCII.
http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/ - Dwarf Fortress is what would happen in Nethack and SimCity had an illigetamate child. Insanely complex and with one of the steepest learning curves ever, Dwarf Fortress is still well worth your time. Becaue when you figure it all out, man is it fun.
http://www.miraigamer.net/cavestory/ - Cave Story is like a Metroid game. 2D exploration platforming action goodness. Seriously, if you only download one game here, this is the one.
http://www.mediafire.com/?qmm2hz5mxrz - Dongs is a Mario hack that cheats on such unholy levels. I've pulled off getting through the first stage once. One day Dongs, one day...
http://www.mediafire.com/?ji3mzjafdz5 - The Windows Entertainment Pack. Jezz Ball, Chips Challenge, Pipe Dream, all those classics that are on old Windows computers. Yeah, it's legit.
http://www.mediafire.com/?najeetmojnm - Lyle In Cube Sector. Another Metroid kind of game. Super awesome music and fantastic (though brutal) gameplay.
http://www.mediafire.com/?mm1yqnim3to - Karoshi 2.0 is a puzzle game where you try to kill yourself. Really inventive (and one awesome theme song).
http://www.mediafire.com/?dxd25mihuyw - Chelsea and the 7 Devils (or Bunny Must Die) is what would happen if you took Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and replaced the son of Dracula with a loli bunny girl. If you love Metroidvania games, then you'll love this.
http://www.indiegames.com/blog/2009/0... - Pathways isn't so much a game as it is an experiment in story telling. I'd recommend it if you have a spare 20 minutes.
http://distractionware.com/blog/?p=759 - Judith is made by the same man who did Pathways and it shows. Another experiment, another good 'game' to experience.
Part two of free games to come.

Part two of free games to come.
http://kayin.pyoko.org/iwbtg/ - I Wanna Be The Guy is a game that delights itself in making you rage. It's hard, and it knows it. Filled with game references and a rocking soundtrack, it's hard not to love I Wanna Be The Guy, when you aren't screaming at it that is.
http://www.indiegames.com/blog/articl... - Minubeats is a fascinating shooter where everything is in time with a beat. You've also got one minute to beat the game. VERY interesting and fun.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3suq4rzb - Touhou rocks hard. With a massive cult following this shmup series stars an assortment of girls battling it out...WITH RAINBOWS! Really though, it's a great series that provides hours of challenging fun and Perfect Cherry Blossom is possibly the best of the bunch. Definetly download this one.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=f1wpt4p3 - SYSTEM FREAKING SHOCK 2. In my opinion one of the finest games ever made, you really have no choice but to play it. Superb genre mixing gameplay (part FPS, part RPG, part Survival Horror), a totally unnerving atmosphere, and one of the greatest villians ever to grace gaming history, System Shock 2 needs to be required playing.
http://db.tigsource.com/games/yume-nikki - Yume Nikki is...hard to describe. My first instinct is to compare it to the PS1 game L.S.D., but only a small underground community has even heard of that. So that won't work. I suppose it's an exploration game. You walk around and check stuff out. That's it. If you play this in the wrong mindset, all you'll get is a massive headache. But get into it right and you'll find a fascinating little game that is often creepy and chilling.
Short one this time, but I'm getting tired. Part three will be tomorrow.

I can re-post it. I deleted it because I kind of thought Holly was disaproving. :( It was about how the Mars Candy Company was doing cruel tests on animals.

Today, while pretending to listen in science I put my coloring book inside my notebook to make it look like I was takeing notes. When I wasn't paying attention my teacher walked behind me, informed me that I had colored Hello Kitty's bow the wrong color and then continued lecturing. MLIA
Today, I decided to try number 61 of the 333 ways to get kicked out of walmart. I told a sales clerk that my son had been lost. When they went to announce it over the intercom, they asked for his name. Being funny, I said Harry Potter. About 5 minutes later, a boy maybe around 15-16 ran up to the customer service desk in a Harry Potter costume yelling 'Mom! I found you!'MLIA
