More power to GR Author/Reader! :D

message 662: by Roberta (new)

Roberta Gibson | 1 comments Hi, I'm Roberta Gibson. The Applegate Garden, is represented by Erica Silverman at Trident Media Group in NY and it's my debut novel.

When Dawn Applegate puts her hectic but happy Manhattan lifestyle on hold for a short visit to Druwick Village, Massachusetts, she arrives on Halloween. It's on this eve that Druwick's annual reenactment of its only witch trial is performed.
(In 1678, a young woman had been accused of trying to conjure up the living Devil and had been burned alive for witchery by the zelot Reverend Barlow.)

Shortly after the reenactment, presently being held in the old churchyard begins, something undreamed of begins to insideously unfold and Dawn Applegate is the target of this evil entrapment.

Dawn's desperate struggle to escape from those who have cruelly victimized her, forms the core of this darkly clever story. If you liked, Rosemary's Baby, and, Salem's Lot, you will flat-out love this novel as it weaves an eerie concept into the innocent fabric of everyday life, and sends shivers along your spine with its diabolic ending.

The novel has been out for only two months now and it's getting a lot of 5 star reviews.

Kenneth (kenrobg30) | 12 comments Hello, my name is Ken Goessl. I'm not sure whether or not I am a member here. I'm old, and my short term memory is terrible. I wrote a book about my experiences in the Marine Corps, from 1948 thru 1952, called Short Timer. It is on Kindle, and is now on Amazon, in paper back.I've been reading this thread for quite some time now, and I like it. I think, I'm going to spend more time here. face Book is getting on my nerves lately. There is one Ken on here already, so if you write one to me, I like Ken ?l. thanks for the new home Vincent.

Kenneth (kenrobg30) | 12 comments Thank you Alexis(I love that name!) Any and all advice is welcome. I'm happy, that you responded. I'm a disabled Truck driver, now, retired, and an old Marine. I've enjoyed just following the post of the other members here. My book was written for my family, at their insistence. I'd be embarrassed to call myself an author. I know just enough about this computer, to navigate my way between here,Facebook, and my manuscript. I'll stop now , before I write another book, right here. Thank you Again.

I get stumped almost daily, and as for my manuscript - my first one, Passion Killer, almost got lost in cyberspace somewhere when I hit the wrong key. Only for my husband I would never have been able to locate it.

Hello-I am Harold kasselman and I wrote a novel about my passion, baseball and a leagl thriller based on a baseball plot.It is an e-book and poses the question of what would happen if a manager ordered his pitcher to deliberately hit a batter. The tragic consequence leads to a murder trial.

I was afraid that would happen to me Yvonne, so I made three copies of the darned thing, and stet them on read only. It's a good thing I did. I have trouble with nerve damage in my arms, so I miss the keys I'm aiming at, frequently. I wrote down your title. I will be looking for it, My grand daughters always come to my rescue. I wish you grest success with your books.

I also got notice, that Vincent's book has been shipped. I look forward to reading it. Would you believe, that in the last two minutes, since reading the Title, I've forgotten it.? Sorry Vincent.

I'll tell you how embarrassed i am Vincent. I have your title written in my notebook, Right in front of me. I write down the manes and titles I'm interested in when I see them, so I won't forget.I'm going to have to start sticking notes to my forehead. The book I was referring to, is Dreams Reign Supreme. I've outlined it in Orange. LOL

Good morning Vincent.
I read your book, and enjoyed the stories, but I hate to admit, I just don't get buzzed by poetry. i bought the book, intending to give it to my granddaughters. Two of them have read it, and it is on its way thru the family. the girls seem to like it, so i expect to get reports from all twelve of them. I'll send you the resulting verdict. Have a nice day.

Hi Kenneth,

I'm glad you enjoyed the stories (and no worries about the poetry, I know it's not for everyone). My aim is to simply entertain the reader. I always strive to polish my craft and to keep producing more work.

Perhaps I'll have another book out for you in the next year or so. My next one is non-fiction, and the goal of it is to help authors on groups such as this one.

G'd Morning Vincent, I looked around, and found a signed copy of Constellation Chronicles, so I grabbed it. I'm waiting for it to arrive. I,m going to rebuild my library as I can, but it's going to take some time. It will depend on how well my book is received. We are on a fixed income, so we have to count the nickels we spend. I made a list of books and their authors, and I,m following the traffic on GR, I like it.
