When we observe the universe, its vastness, its mystery, and its inherent order captivate us. Since the dawn of creation, humanity has continuously questioned the origin of this universe, its very nature, and our place within it. These profound questions emerged from philosophy in ancient times, and in the modern age, physics has diligently sought scientific answers. Yet, despite all its extraordinary successes, modern physics today finds itself grappling with some fundamental inquiries. Powerful theories like quantum mechanics and relativity seem to depict two disparate images of the same universe, images that are not entirely consistent with each other. These inconsistencies have prompted scientists to ponder deeply, and this book offers a fresh perspective to resolve them.The primary aim of this book is to unify the timeless philosophy of materialism with the latest discoveries in modern physics. The central objective of this work is to present materialism—which posits that everything in the universe is a product of matter and its processes—as an effective scientific framework. We intend to demonstrate that when we view the universe as a fundamental, matter-dependent entity, a coherent and logical explanation becomes possible for everything, from the wave-particle duality of quantum mechanics to the expansion of the universe and the enigmatic dark energy.
This book is not merely a philosophical discourse; it is a scientific proposition. It introduces two novel concepts: "Unit Particle Theory" and "Rotational Field Theory." These theories offer a new illumination on the fundamental forces and the very source of matter in the universe, as well as their intricate interactions. It is hoped that this discussion will provide readers with a new and profound understanding of the universe.

My name is Kerisma Vere, and I’m a local author and wellness coach based in Aldergrove. I recently published, The Light Switch Myth: A Beginner’s Guide to Realistic and Sustainable Change. It's part story, part guide- an honest look at what real change looks and feels like. Using a mix of personal stories, contemporary resources, and reflective prompts it helps readers address perfectionism, self-blame, and external pressures to build a gentler, more sustainable relationship with themselves and the process of change. Key themes of the book are:
~Change/growth is non linear
~Shame, guilt, perfectionism block progress/ compassion does work as a motivator
~Personalizing our efforts based on our own values and internal feedback lends to change being meaningful , sustainable, and often enjoyable
~ Small steady shifts/steps work better and faster than big leaps/overhauls
~Choosing support and resources that mirror compassionate approaches is more effective than those that pressure or make false promises/exaggerated claims.
My main influences were my own work in therapy and healing from trauma, PTSD, addiction, and weight gain, as well as the teachings, books, and conversations by leaders like Brene Brown, Tara Brach, Dr. Kristen Neff, Gabor Mate, and others that are bringing to light these more contemporary approaches that have been so valuable in my own life and coaching practice.
I have had it reviewed by two clinical counsellors for ethics and accuracy as it is intended to be trauma informed and therapeutic in nature.
I am offering free PDF copies to anyone interested in doing an honest review. (Its also a current Goodreads Giveaway) I am also hoping to engage a few book clubs as the book has reflective prompts throughout that would work really well for group discussion. I would be happy to do a live Q&A.

The state of Virginia needs to be competitive with Florida and other states in order to attract more retirees and tourists. While in Stafford, the real estate tax rate continues to increase with no yearly three percent cap at the purchasing price. This is a devastating combination with high interest mortgages, increasing taxes and insurance premiums with higher deductibles.The middle class is being squeezed at all ends including with an increased meal tax from 5 percent to six percent just to dine out in Stafford. Then there is the sales tax which is above five percent and the gas tax which adds another 59 cents per gallon in combined state and federal taxes plus an additional 2.1 percent on the wholesale cost.

The Stafford County Board of Supervisors have a major dilemma in attracting family friendly businesses that are appealing to the residents who live here and not to the motorists of I-95. My real estate and property taxes have increase significantly since moving to Stafford which is not sustainable at this level.Many of us have contacted the Board of Supervisors including our specific county representatives about not wanting tax increases while cutting back on the billion-dollar county budget. The county needs a local ‘DOGE’ to reign in this massive spending at all levels including the school budget which is close to half a billion dollars. All options must be on the table from privatization of services, layoffs of county employees and an audit to investigate waste, fraud and abuse in county spending.
I have traveled all over the United States and internationally, and this county has potential to bring in significant businesses that are welcomed by the residents living in Stafford. It is a simple solution by catering to the tax paying residents of Stafford and not to special interest groups looking to take advantage of the county with sweetheart tax breaks.

It is time to reach out to the Board of Supervisors and the School Board of Stafford County to pressure them for budget cuts and decrease in tax rates for real estate and vehicle property taxes. These never ending tax increases are hurting hard working families, and it needs to STOP for FY 2027. Lets also email Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger and our state representatives to lower our gas tax, tolls, and state income taxes. It is time for the local and state governments to live within their means and not continue to tax us into oblivion.
Tough decisions have to be made at all levels to save families from unjust financial burdens from their state, local and federal governments.

It is important for Americans to honor their heroes who fought and died throughout history. Our veterans witnessed traumatic conflicts and wars that showed their courage and sacrifice in the toughest conditions. It is imperative for future generations to understand that freedom is never free and comes with great sacrifice for those who served. Their stories must be remembered and honored, so others become inspired to serve and protect their nation in times of national emergency. Veterans Day allows the country to unite and give gratitude to those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.Thank you for your service! It will never be forgotten.
