Ian Conrey Hey everyone, I'm super excited to find a community of like minded authors. My novel, Hælend's Ballad, will be released in November, but it's available for pre order and I will be releasing a sample soon. I look forward to connecting with you all! Here is the back cover blurb:

“Some call me Murderer, others call me Lord. I've been called Savior and Enslaver. But no one has ever called me Child.”

A young man signs his own death warrant when he joins an already failing militia. A teenage girl is haunted by her childhood abuse and begins to crave the very things she hates. A childless mother finds herself on the run as a convicted murderer. Yet, they are all unaware that their own fates are tied to a young orphan who has drowned and come back to life in a foreign land where he will be the death of everyone he meets.

Hælend’s Ballad is a tale about what happens when men and women from two colliding cultures realize they may not be on the right side. Heroes are villains. The persecuted are oppressors. And when rumors begin to spread that the world is dying, the darkness of their own hearts betrays them.

Dave Williams | 6 comments Hi everyone,
I'm Dave J. Williams, author of "Sineria: The Great Kingdom" and its sequel "Sineria: Age of War." The debut book of this Medieval fantasy series is one I hope to introduce readers to this intriguing and eccentric world of fantasy. Here's the blurb for "The Great Kingdom."

Two adversaries with terrible childhoods must duel over the Great Kingdom, each with their own way of protecting it.

Immerse yourself into an adventure through one of the greatest Medieval kingdoms known: Sineria. Residing here, 10-year-old Hayden Grace, who although very young, is capable of proving that he doesn't let his age or being poor get in the way of being heroic when he must. When Hayden goes on a risky journey to find riches for his family, his kingdom is soon threatened by an unhinged sorcerer who wreaks havoc on them. Hayden and Sineria both struggling to survive. Will Hayden get what he needs to help his family, or will the fire-breathing dragons, ogres, or wild animals get to him first? Will the great kingdom of Sineria escape the sorcerer's wrath unharmed and prove to be a truly great kingdom, or will the Sinerians have to get used to the reign of a mad magic-maker? Go on this great Middle Age adventure to find out.

Book 2 is a part of that link, too, just in case anyone was interested. Have a great day!

Lynn Wallace | 45 comments Hello! My name is Lynn Wallace and I write YA romantic fantasy that focuses on redemption. I have two books out right now.

My first novel, "The Heart of Everything," features Emer, a reincarnated elven priestess as she struggles with the truth about her past and must choose between her two former lovers - Alex, a vampire, and Jesse, the son of the devil himself - one of whom is convinced she is the key to the salvation of his soul.

The second book, "The Supernatural Reasons Why I Love You," is a short story collection that features origin stories that trace the original trio of characters (Alex, Jesse, the priestess) all the way back to the very beginning. This collection also contains other paranormal romance shorts with new, never-before-seen characters!

Both books are available on Amazon, as well as Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Books-A-Million, and most eBook retailers.

I'll post in a separate thread with all the links, but you can always learn more (and read teasers!) on my website:

My series of books, set in a world similar to ancient Greece, is now available on both Kindle and Nook. All three books trace the changes to Alexio Sopholus after he takes up the position of caretaker to the Forest of Allund with its many secrets and mysteries. Along the way, Alexio will pick up quite a collection of friends and an impressive list of enemies. He will face situations, challenges, and dangers few others can even imagine as he tried to protect those around him from threats from barbarians, gods, and his own leaders.

Forest of Allund cover

In this first book, Alexio Sopholus returns home after ten years away at the Academy. When he returns, he soon finds his lands under attack by barbarians bent on domination of the kingdom. With the help of his large animal friends and others, he manages to initially fight off the invaders, but draws the suspicions and fears of his own leaders. Faced with death, destruction, and betrayal all around him, Alexio is forced to conclude that all the morality, philosophy, ethics, and behavior taught to him in school are all but useless when someone has you at the point of a sword. Then you must either fight, run, or die. Alexio wages war. It will be a war without pity, mercy, and against the laws of both gods and men. It will result in Alexio finding himself an outcast in his own land.

The Laughing Gods cover

In the second book, Alexio and his wife still find themselves in danger from the barbarians and his own leaders. After an assassination attempt, a bold move by the barbarians put the entire kingdom in danger. Alexio and a small party of friends must travel to a foreign kingdom to ask aid from an unreliable source. Discovering an even more insidious plot against them, Alexio and a small group of mages must flee for their lives. When they return, they find their kingdom in shambles, the Brotherhood of Mages in tatters, and an imminent threat from the barbarians to sweep all of them aside. Alexio must find a way to save his kingdom, the Brotherhood of Mages, his family, and his friends before they are all consumed in the increasing maelstrom.

Demigod

Two tales conclude this series. In the first, Alexio Sopholus comes up with a dangerous and desperate plan to finally end the Zilar war. He, his wife, and several loyal companions make a dangerous journey to a place where he can challenge the leader Zilar directly. After several confrontations, Alexio and his friends are faced with the full might of the Zilar. Their only hope to is make a desperate last attack against overwhelming odds against the Zilar himself and his minions. At the same time a great tragedy befalls the three kingdoms that will devastate life for years, causing untold death and destruction, and the deaths of many friends.

In the second tale, the kingdoms are again faced with a more lethal threat than even the Zilar. A renegade god and his followers invade the world causing panic and destruction. This god seeks nothing less that to displace the Olympian Gods of this world. The kingdoms, the mages, the armies, and the gods must band together to defeat this interloper or face extinction. Many will die in the conflagration. The final battle will tax the strength of both gods and men and force Alexio into making the ultimate sacrifice.

Charlotte Stennett | 3 comments Hi authors and writers, I am a big fan of reading fantasy novels, I enjoy reading any that I find if I pick one up in a holiday villa where other guests have left behind to read.

However I mainly prefer Fantasy novels, so far have enjoyed The Mortal Instruments as well as the other works in the Shadowhunter world by Cassandra Clare, The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series (currently reading the 1st book and loving it) also currently reading Shadow and Bone Trilogy series before it is released on Netflix.

I am always looking for more Fantasy book series to add to my wishlist too! Since joining this site, I have now got 1095 books to my TBR list. Looking forward to adding more!

However I am also currently working in getting into writing. Have enjoyed creative writing since doing it in school and college and would love to write my own novel some day!

John Crye | 8 comments John Crye here! I'm releasing my Fantasy Adventure novel, "The Elect Stories," as a cliffhanger serial on Amazon Kindle. I've always loved pulp Fantasy serials, and the ebook format has allowed me to create my own without the printing and shipping costs!

"The Elect Stories" follows the lives of a party of adventurers from their idealistic youths to the bitterness and self-doubt of their middle years. It is Fantasy Adventure that both embraces and comments upon its own tropes.

Twisting Every Way A Twisted Realm Novella by Amy Sutphin

When Emya’s village is invaded by two magic-wielding barbarians that proclaim themselves kings, the last thing she expects is to be taken in as their mage apprentice. Emya understands little about magic, despite having known it all her life. She was told it would destroy everything she hated, then everything she loved, and then herself. Yet the kings alleviate her fears and show her potential she never imagined.

Her future was bright and formidable as the fire she twists in her fingers, except for the strange, sickly young man the kings hold captive. His presence is as a shadow, but Emya is determined to ignore him, choosing to believe in the kings’ extraordinary plans for her. Yet, as a strange enchantment falls over the village Emya can’t help but wonder what the king’s true intentions are.

message 1765: by Pallas (new)

Pallas Melanin | 2 comments Hello All,
My name is Pallas Melanin. I am a young author and this is my debut novel. When I was younger I used to create comic books and would always imagine myself going off on adventures, finding love in the most unlikely places, and being the hero without the cape. I've always wanted to read a story where someone like me could be whisked away on an adventure but could never find one. I come from a small town on the east coast and was raised by a single mother. My African-American roots anchors me in my creative magic, but this is a universal story meant to be digested and enjoyed by all. I am an introvert that ended up writing an adventure of my own that intertwines my love for humor, love, black culture, and greek mythology all into one.

Book premise: Lizareign and River were preparing to have the wedding of their dreams; until Medusa and Poseidon hijacked their bodies! Desperate to find answers and to reclaim their fate, they are catapulted through a quest filled with centuries old rivalries, secrets, lies and deceit. In a race against time, Lizareign and River, along with their best friend London must venture into the world of mythological creatures, Gods, and Titans in hopes of returning things back to normal. It is a modern story with a touch of relevant topics to this time that has been integrated into Greek mythology while also displaying unbreakable bonds of friendship and love.

Manoj Pandey | 18 comments Hi. I am a book reader and reviewer. I have written some non-fiction books too.
Let me introduce Mony to you on this sub-group on fantasy. He has published a fantasy novel "The Illusion" and needs my/ your help in making his book public. After that, let it swim or sink based on its own strength.
The fantasy in "The Illusion" is different from the common themes we see everywhere. In short, some boys/ girls are sucked into a new world (the plausible reason for this comes out at the end of the book) where they are chased by goons from the earth. Things get mixed up between two worlds. A sort of world war takes place, annihilating the whole [new] world. In a third 'layer' or world of a highly intelligent type, one can see the happenings on the earth and the second world like a live TV and solutions for coming out of the mess are given in the form of rhymes and riddles.
This very interesting fantasy is available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0932GSD27

A little twisting and reimagining of the typical fantasy tropes bring my contributions to Epic Fantasy land.

DRUID QUEST: Maegics Heir, Book 1 Introduces Arias Côeurdrægon in a coming of age Mæge tale.

Just released HUNTED: Maegics Heir, Book 2 takes you deeper. Darker Mægics threaten, and his friends, both his spirit creatures and human friends alike need him to grow and realize his potential.

Fall away into Aeryth and the magical journey of Arias and his creature friends.

REVIEWS!

"Hunted is the second book in the Maegics Heir series by G. L. Cramb. The trials and tribulations of Arias Côeurdrægon continue as he struggles to stay one step ahead of his enemies. After struggling for so long, Arias has finally found Druid Eschereon. With the Druid’s help, Arias hopes to master his mægics and figure out his true bloodline. He knows the process will not be easy, but he never expected it to be this difficult. Once upon a time, finding answers regarding his mother was his biggest worry, but now every day is a quest for survival. Now that he has come under the radar of some very dangerous mind mages, Arias has to master his mægics, control, and use it to keep himself and his friends safe. But how can a newbie like him go against mind mages who have mastered their talents over decades?

G. L. Cramb opens the novel with a bang and keeps the same fast pace until the end. Arias is a strong, humble, and sometimes naïve character, but he learns from his mistakes and works hard to prove his worth. The mystery behind Arias’s bloodline, his thirst to find out what it was, and the suspense around the mind mages are very well-handled. While epic fantasies are not usually my cup of tea, Hunted had me hooked from the moment I picked up this novel. The author adds tension at the right moment, slows the story down when it is needed, and gives Arias ample page space to grow and prove his worth. I love the dialogues, but the descriptions sold me on this story. They are crisp and vivid, making me feel like I was in the moment with Arias rather than in my room. Perfectly composed to have maximum impact on the reader!"

Stefan Coleman | 65 comments Hello everyone :)

My name is Stefan Coleman, and I am an author, a graphic designer, and substitute teacher from the frozen wilderness of Alaska. After working on and off for about ten years, I am crazy excited that my book Red Horizon (Firebrand, Book #1) is finally done, and very glad that I'm almost done with book 2.

In a nutshell, Firebrand is a coming-of-age fantasy series about how ten friends looking for their own adventure discover that a long dead Dark Lord has returned after a thousand years, and that they're now tasked with uniting the nation to oppose him, as well as restore a shattered kingdom to a forgotten king. Through all the ups and downs of the characters, it is my hope that the reader can find hope in all their circumstances, no matter how terrible.

Red Horizon is about how said friends become a crew, save a young lord who crashed on their shore, get tossed in prison, make a few allies, and discover how they're the missing piece that a high lord needs.

I look forward to all my future readers discovering my world, and I hope you enjoy it.

In 1999 I wrote this novel in Spanish. I offered for free and more than 40,000 downloads were done in 2 years. I received excellent reviews. I have recently translated and edited it in English.

I recently published it in e-book format and softbound cover in Amazon, B&N, and several places. It is about an ET that came to Earth on a mission to wake up a colleague that forgot his original mission and lives as a homeless person in a crowded city. It shows his vision of our society and warnings about the future of humanity. This ET, that is very human, ends up waking up himself and remembering his lost love in a distant star a long time ago, a nice girl currently living a human experience.

M.B. Castle | 1 comments Hello everyone!

My name is M. B. Castle, and I am an indie author from Brazil. I've recently published my debut epic fantasy novel (it just came out on August 1st) titled "The New Crowned." The first volume of a trilogy titled "The Eternal Saga", the book's been receiving positive reviews, but they are few as of yet. And that's why I'm here. I would like to invite you all to take a look at the book page and give The New Crowned a chance. If you are a fan of works such as A Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, The Name of the Wind, The Eye of the World, or pretty much any epic fantasy book, I promise you will not regret it! Here follows the synopsis to The New Crowned, and the for its Goodreads page:

Three kingdoms. Three royal heirs. Two wars.

Following ancient tradition, the Three Kingdoms have been experiencing new transitions of power, with the old handing over their crowns to the young. But for this new generation of rulers, a grave danger is emerging. After centuries confined to their Eternal Halls, the Eternals—also known as Time Thieves—have returned to haunt the continent. Wielding an arcane, powerful form of magic, the Eternals target the royal heirs, whose blood fuels their power. To survive, the New Crowned have no choice but to unite and face the Eternals. But Randyll Damenkrye, King of Ereven, decides to conquer the other two kingdoms, instead of aligning himself with them. Queen Myla Gravermel of Venar and Daryan Dandevar, son of King Thrystan Dandevar of Aerner, must then deal not only with the Eternal threat, but also with the consequences of King Randyll’s ambitions.

'The New Crowned' is the first volume in "The Eternal Saga".

Wela Kabane | 4 comments Wela Kabane, author of The Kenryk Series: The Avaris.
It is a fantasy adventure book that follows the journey of Amari from her beginnings in a village called Synia, determined to become the first female Sage Warrior in the Kingdom of Sagar. When she finds out her true parentage, she is forced to choose between following her childhood dream or accepting the responsibility that comes with being a Kenryk Avaris. The only problem is, she didn't know until she was twenty that she is a Kenryk, let alone an Avaris.

Paityn Parque | 6 comments Hello! I'm a newly published author - and I'm only 15. I don't want to scare you away because of my age, but writing is my passion. I've only published just a few days ago, and it's a huge milestone for me. I've worked with a former Hollywood writer and actress, now retired and doing ghostwriting. She's helped me grow so much, and I hope that some of you that read this will give my book a shot. I'll be doing a giveaway soon, so if you're interested please let me know:) I hope you all have a great day!

Here is my book and description: Madness

Death is not an escape.

One night Ezra Adkins is brutally murdered in her own home. As she was dying, she expects to wake up in the afterworld.

She was wrong.

She loses consciousness and awakens into a horrific game of kill or be killed. Players can be killed an infinite number of times, but the only permanent way out of the game is their actual death by suicide.

Players in the game ruthlessly hunt each other for points, while others kill for fun. Most players have given up on finding an escape from the game and spiral into insanity, killing without reason.

It’s mayhem.

Ezra soon learns who to trust and who to hunt down. But as she falls deeper into the game, she starts to lose herself as the bodies pile up. The line blurs between what she’s always known to be right and wrong.

Metal will clash. Blood will spill. Minds will break. And before it’s too late, Ezra must find an escape from the game before she becomes the real enemy.

Robert Beers | 23 comments I'm almost done with Tony Mandolin book 12, No Place Like Gnome. It looks like it's going to top out over 500 pages as it's one of those stories where a lot of previously hanging threads get tied up. SHould be a very satisfying read to those who enjoy this series.

Well, hi! I was pretty new to some things as well, but I researched and this discussion post is if you would like to promote your book and to get reviewers/ readers.

If you wrote a book, that's great:) You can add it here if it falls under the genre to see if people would want to read. If not, you can find other peoples' books and see if you're interested in reading them.
