As a fellow writer, I am my own worst critic as well. But, people tend to like my work. Just write Liz.

Welcome, Liz! And Arch is right, you're writing is probably better than you think. :-) Just keep at it and don't give up. We're glad to have you here!

"Welcome Liz. Why do you think your novel is going to suck?"
"Welcome Liz. Why do you think your novel is going to suck?"Well, for one thing I've no experience at writing a novel. It's like everything: it gets better with practice. This is my first time so my personal opinion is that it's going to suck. :)
But there's no way in sam-heck I"m giving up, so don't worry :P
And thanks for the welcome!
Liz, embrace, love and own your story. Always write for yourself. Write what you like.
Liz, embrace, love and own your story. Always write for yourself. Write what you like.I don't write for anyone else, but myself. I may share my writing with some people, which I am shy about doing, but even if they like or dislike my story or stories, the story was written for me. I know what I like. I can write a story just for my eyes only and yes, I curl up on a sofa and read it.
I agree with Arch. You should write the story you want to right, and if you are happy with it, chances are others will be too. If not, then at least you wrote the story you wanted to write.

Here here, Arch! That's how I've always written my books, too. (And yes, I still enjoy curling up and reading them. :-) )

I have to say, reading my own story doesn't even seem as if I wrote the material. I amaze myself at some of the stuff that I write.

Hi, Amelia! You've joined just in time for our huge giveaway celebration. Welcome to the group! :o)

I'm also new. I like reading clean romances, so I am looking forward to hearing what clean romances other people recommend.

So many new members! This is so exciting! Welcome to Amelia, Debra, and Paige, as well as to all the others who have joined us in this wonderful group! I'm so thrilled to find so much support for "clean romances"!

*waves to Paige* I'm so glad you joined the group, Paige! And congrats on the writing explosion. I'm so jealous!
Welcome to you too, Debra! It's so wonderful to meet so many new people who enjoy clean romance. (Side note: I highly recommend Joyce's books, Loyalty's Web & Illuminations of the Heart. Both are definitely worth the read. :o)

Hi, I am so glad I found this. I am 19 and have loved romances since I first read Jane Eyre when I was like 9 but the number of times I have had to skip pages because I just DIDN'T want to know what was going on is getting a bit depressing. But this is soo good.

Hi Lady Rogue! We're so glad you found our group! We've got some great titles to check out on our group bookshelf. If you have any clean romance favorites that aren't there, feel free to add them!

Howdy all, Jaimey invited me to stop by. I like a good romance/adventure/mystery that I don't have to hide. (my kids are old enough that they pick up my books wherever I leave them and read a page or two. That gets really bad if the book has steamy/explicit things in it. I like my kids just like they are; nice and innocent.)

I've got 5 kids ages 2-11 and am the grunt labor on the farm I own. (Corn maze, greenhouse, sweet corn, that sort of thing)
that's me. I look foreward to meeting you all.
p.s. I suggest you make a welcome thread where everyone can say hi so newbies like me don't scratch their head looking at all the new threads in this section. I think my option was to jump on someone else's thread or start my own. Not a big deal, feel free to ignore me. :)
Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all.

Hi, Wendy! I'm so glad you joined!
As for the welcome thread issue...I hadn't really thought about it. Some join and jump on someone else's thread and some start their own. Either way is fine but if everyone thinks one thread is a better idea, we can do that. :o)

I don't mean to cause trouble. I was confused as to what I should do, but I had a not-so-good late night so maybe it's just me.

Maybe a welcome thread would be good for this point on. To save so many duplicate threads.

Welcome, Wendy! We're very excited that you found our little group. :-) A welcome thread would be ideal, but I think people will still sometimes start their own threads when they join. Whatever works for each of you is fine with me, just as long as we know you're here so we can say, "Welcome!" :-)

If you want to try a welcome thread, Jaimey, go ahead and set one up. We can always give it a try. :-)
