In the main, political thrillers of recent times have done little of what I expect them to do: challenge assumptions, ask me to reflect upon the world I know, focus upon social and ethical issues, and encourage critical thought.

The Roads Chosen does it and does it without holding back.

Hello,

I'm working from home (at my employer's insistence) and being as productive as I can (he gave me a pay rise). I've come to like my home more and my evenings are now about peace, quiet and reading.

I won't be reviewing every book I read, just those that mean something. I shall rate, more as a reminder more than anything.
