Hi Everyone!

I'm just checking in with you all to see how you are enjoying (or perhaps not enjoying) the group reading and discussions so far?

I am open to any and all feedback you might have. Do you like the way it is going? Are you done reading and getting bored with it? Are there any suggestions you might have for improvement to any part of the process going foward? Is there anything you really liked about the process? Is anyone interested in going foward with this for next month? Was it a good idea to go with two novels, should we continue that for upcoming months.. if you choose to participate again?

Those sure are alot of questions, huh? Sorry. I really just wanted to check in....

Feel free to post here, I promise not to get offended, I like to think I have an open mind and am always welcome to constructive criticism!

Hit me!

Jen | 278 comments Yeah, whatever Lori. If I say anything bad are you going to re-title it "Dissing Jen"? Just kidding. Every discussion group needs a place to vent and we just had a little inspiration.

I really like the way the group read has gone. I think the book tie was a blessing. It worked out well that we had two books to appeal to a variety of people. Going forward, I think having two options is a good idea. We could just use whatever takes first and second? It also allows the fast readers to read both books if they'd like.

I do hope that we keep it going. I'm at home with a baby right now and I really like to have this forum to share ideas on books. I've also found another author that I enjoy and probably wouldn't have picked it up on my own.

Thanks again for coordinating everything. I know this takes some work and time for you to keep up with and we all appreciate your efforts!

Kirsty (kirstyreadsandcreates) | 610 comments Hi

I'm pretty new to the group, so wasn't in on the voting and everything for this month. Luckily I'd pretty recently finished reading The Other Boleyn Girl when I found this group (spooky huh!) So am still able to take part in the discussions. Unfortunately I haven't got Neverwhere yet. My library doesn't have it, and my local bookshop is expecting new stock, so hopefully I should get it soon.

I like the idea of 2 books. I agree with Jen that its nice to have a choice, and I'm also a fairly fast reader, so it gives me chance to read and discuss both of them.

I'd just like to say that I've only been a member of the group for a couple of weeks, but I'm finding that I just can't keep away! Its a great group, so thanks Lori for setting it up, and thanks to everyone else who makes it a place worth coming to!!

Renata | 67 comments I have never been in a book club, so this was a very nice way to ease into it. I do like the idea of two books, and I intended to read both, but haven't gotten around to the second one (I still have time). I like getting other readers' ideas and thoughts about the book, and find that I check in on the thread almost daily. Let's keep going.

Wow, glad to hear we are all enjoying the way its running! I was happy when we ended with a tie, and i do think having two choices is a great way to go... hopefully it will always be two completely different novels, so we can appeal to a wider audience of readers. Like Scott had said in the voting thread, he was afraid we were going to end up reading only The Other Boelyn Girl, and that wasnt quite up his alley so he was thrilled there was an additional choice.

And again, if there is anything you think didnt work, or any other ideas out there for possible changes, let me know. Im open to discussions....

Nancy Hi Lori,
I'm enjoying reading all the discussions so far and love the idea of a group read. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with school that I don't have as much time as I'd like for my own reading.

I'm currently reading The Other Boleyn Girl and finding it rather slow going right now, but will jump in the discussion as soon as I get further in the book.
