The month has begun! Who's planning to read this one?

message 3: by CBRetriever (new) - added it

CBRetriever | 6519 comments I finished it. Initial impression was that I wasn't going to like it as I didn't have a good impression of the main character.

Netanella | 564 comments I read it soon after it was announced as the winner. I enjoyed Mallory and Cal and Xan as characters. Although I do agree, CBRetriever, that Mallory could be a touch annoying. But some of the other characters won me over!

Elizabeth (elizabeth1234561) | 119 comments I started this a couple days ago - looking forward to finishing it early on. Seems like it's something I'll enjoy - not always a scifi lover but it's kind of giving me Illuminae Files vibes with the space station so can't wait!

Ann (annrumsey) | 1 comments I’m backed up on my audio queue right now but this one intrigues me so hope to start by the end of the month.

Jackie (athena78) | 41 comments I've begun reading it today. So far, interesting and fun. I'm hoping the ride is a good one!

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) | 2200 comments I started this today. Initially on audio, but I didn’t like the reader so I switched to ebook and that’s going much better for me.

P.E.N. Bortolotti | 143 comments I’m curious about Mallory as a narrative device. A main character who constantly attracts violent events is such a strange structural choice. It almost feels less like “coincidence” and more like myth logic disguised as sci-fi.

Still early for me, but I’m interested in whether that tension becomes thematic or stays situational.

message 10: by Olga (new) - rated it 3 stars

Olga Yolgina | 683 comments I'm almost halfway through and regretting my decision to get the audiobook version sooo much, because the narrator's undulating cadence makes me seasick. But the story itself is growing on me. I thought it was going to be a popcorn listen, but it's getting complicated, which is nice. As I can't just flip back to find some information I missed in previous chapters, I feel like I need to go and start again from at least chapter 4 or 5. Which means more hours of that voice *facepalm*

Marc V. (marc_v) | 3 comments I’ve read it and love the book

Shawnie | 187 comments I also wasn't getting on with the audio and after switching to ebook, I feel like I'm settling into the characters better. Also agree that Mallory is a bit much right now but I'm only on page 76.

message 13: by Beth (new) - rated it 4 stars

Beth O'R (bethor) | 4 comments I actually really liked this one. i wasn't sure when I started, but I like the way the mystery played out. 4.5/5
