I’d like to merge two books that are actually the same - one is an edition of the other, but it’s on Goodreads as an independent book and not its edition (I’d like https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... to be an edition of https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...)

On Goodreads we use the term 'merge' to mean 'delete' one edition because it is a duplicate.
The word 'combine' is used to unite book editions under the same umbrella record. That is what is needed here.
