Ok, I'm overthinking the top portion lol.
Only one person on the team posts for each number 1-6, right? And the score is based on how many prompts they fill for each number?

All tasks have to be read for the upper section :) If I misunderstood this, let me know. Sleep wasn't my friend over the weekend and I might need more coffee lol.

Girl, it wasn't mine either. I'll try and explain better...
I'll just use 1 as the example - I read a book that is a standalone, starts and ends with a vowel and is less than 200 pages. Do I post my book in the review section and claim those 3 tasks and then my team gets 3 points? OR do I have to wait to post until the other two are done as well?
Aces/Ones -
*standalone book
*#1 in a series
*Title starts and ends with a vowel (i.e., Ophelia)
*Less than 200 pages
*”Ace” or “One” in text (pg/% & quote)

I just saw the spreadsheet, and I think this answers my questions, but just to confirm: It doesn't matter who completes the tasks, just as long as all of them are completed, right?

Oh, one book per task like normal. You don't have to wait to post things.

Correct :) lol no need for things to be posted in order. I'll track things on my end and double check with the team's spreadsheets too. Just in case someone messes up (aka me lol).

Amanda wrote: "How do you get the book picture & link into a comment?"click "add book/author" when making your comment, then when slecting the book, choose the option to "add: cover" instead of "link" (which is usually the default setting)
Laura wrote: "Alania, if a book won't work for a task can we still post for points?"
What is the book? I mean you have the CHANCE option in the lower section...where any book counts.

I’m confused by your question. You still have to fill out the whole round, but if a book really doesn’t fit any of the tasks then I would suggest putting it towards the chance task. What’s the book?

once R1's prompt is done in either the Upper or Lower sections, can we carry over the book to R2 (or R3)...or are the books limited to each month?

Not limited to each month; however, you can't start posting for the next "round" until the first one is complete.

Just added a banked tab to each team's spreadsheet. :)

For the lower section is the same person allowed to do more than one task in a "hand".So for full house, could one person read both an author and a genre book?
Could 1 person read two yahtzee books?

thank you!
Just making sure...for titles, may we ignore/disregard "A, AN, THE???If yes, do any other conjunctions apply?
Hello, just checking on articles (a, an, the) - do they count for titles? They don't in shelving, lol :D
Alaina wrote: "Oh my gosh - so sorry! I thought I responded. You can use or ignore articles."Thank you :)
I was curious....are the books we read / reviewed supposed to appear on the tabs (SSS - R2, FHF - R2, etc)? I always wondered since when I look...the sheets are unfilled.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
Alaina wrote: "Like on my tracker? I add them there. I’m only using two columns."yes...those 2 columns (E & H) are blank for us/invisible results, right? Or is your tracker meant to be visible to players, so we can see how the group, each team is doing?

Those tabs are for tracking the books. The Yahtzee tab tracks the points.

For "yahtzee" is "female author" acceptable as a prompt?"
It's whatever the team wants to do - so yes.

If my team has "three word title" as a category, would articles count? I'm wondering if can use The Mysterious Affair at Styles

Yes, articles would count for this specific category the team picked. You would need to use an actual title that had 3 words only.

Nope. You could read the same book for every month this year if you really wanted to. If you do, you can only count it towards a challenge once (if that makes sense).
So, for example, you read The Road of Bones. You hypothetically read it in January - loved it, and plan to reread it over and over again.
Team quarterly challenges - you could only use this book ONCE per challenge. So, 4 times a year - once per quarter.
Solo quarterly challenges - you could only use this book ONCE per challenge. So, 4 times a year - once per quarter.
Monthly challenges - you could only use this book ONCE per challenge.
--> Monthly challenges could be for one month or two months.
The reason why you can count the same book read twice for Yahtzee is because it's for two months instead of one. Your book was already counted for a previous round in this challenge, it can't be counted again for the current round or future rounds within this challenge.

OK, good to know. Thank you.
Question: Can we count this mehemoth omnibus as three separate titles?https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...Or do we have to count the 3 books as one 1098 pager?

If you review the three books instead of the volume 2, then yes - you could count them as three books. If you review the volume 2, you will have to count that as one book.
