Jade Goody- Fighting to the End
I picked this one up in Poundland and was a fairly interesting autobiography. I've heard and seen several of the stories contained. With autobiographies I like to see what makes people 'tick'- and it was no exception with this one.
101-

This was a diary entry book following Jade's struggle with cancer and the treatment she underwent.
102-

I loved this book. It took me about 100 pages to get fully immersed into the story- but soon found it difficult to put down.
103-

I thought this book was only an ok read. I needed to finish this tonight as it's due back at the library!
104-

This was a real chiller/thriller. A serial killer is on a spree targetting pregnant women. He wants their babies for his wife. The first baby that he removed successfully dies- so he goes to get another one.
105-

106- At a GlanceAt a glance- June Whitfield
This was a really charming book set out like a scrapbook of all her press clippings and professional photos. She's had an amazingly long career and worked with some of the huge names of the time.
107-

Emma is given Pedro's Bar in lieu of payment for printing work. She goes out there and discovers that it is a 'poisoned chalice'. The tax hasn't been paid and is now her responsibility. The staff are reliant on their jobs- but she wants to sell. Several people are over in Fuengirola trying to solve personal and business issues- and their lives are linked in several ways. I was expecting a fairly superficial book- but really enjoyed this one.
108-

I couldn't put this one down- it was really chilling at times.
109-

A trashy book from Poundland- read it this afternoon after shopping. It was as trashy as I expected- but I pick up whatever I haven't read in Poundland!
110-

I quite enjoyed this one- although it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Juno signs up for a reality tv show- and the book follows the experience and the aftermath for both families and their close friends and neighbours who are also battling issues.
111.

I loved this book- a nice easy read. Helen takes her best friends for a picnic on top of an ancient fertility symbol- and four months later- they are all expecting babies! Helen's outwardly perfect life is crumbling- her husband is very controlling and does not want a baby. Janey's husband has been desperate for a baby- and is willing to become a househusband so that she can go back to work. Elizabeth's baby is a result of an unwanted advance by a younger lad. Her old love comes back on the scene and he likes to turn up with presents for the baby. By the end- he has built a house for her and wants to marry her and bring up the baby.
112-

I didn't enjoy this one- Lou asks her family to take a homeless girl in and it follows the issues they have despite giving her a comfortable and safe home setting.

113-

Hamish solves another murder in the highlands 4*
114-

Follows Charlottes life up to her first pregnancy. Although she met some amazing people throughout her childhood- it gives insight into just how hard being a child star can be. You are not in charge of your own destiny to a large degree.
115-

A really disturbing account of a little girls life of abuse from an evil 'stepfather'.
116-

Hamish solves another crime - when a woman is killed whilst he is staying on a health farm over Christmas.
117-

A great book I saw recommended on another site. Follows a family after the death of their little girl in a road accident- and flashes back to their relationship when they first got together.
118-

A fairly harrowing story about a group of friends trying to break into the film business. It follows relationship issues- both family and personal. Nikki is expecting a baby - and at a few months old Zac is diagnosed with an awful degenerative disease.
119-

An enjoyable chick lit read.
120-

I really enjoyed this one- set at Christmas.
121-

Not really sure what I thought of this. It was told via witness narrative- and it confused me at times.
122-

Not my favourite James Patterson- quite gruesome in parts.
123-

This was a nice pleasant read.
124-

An account of her mothers decline into Alzheimers and then cruelly her fathers.

125-

The next instalment in Paul O'Grady's autobiography detailing his many jobs on his path to stardom.
126-

Another Hamish tale!
127-

A lovely tale about canal 'folk' on the lead up to war!
128-

A ghost story with twins as the main characters.
129-

Back on form with this one.
130- Born To RunBorn to Run - Michael Morpurgo
A delightful story about a greyhound who was rescued from a canal as a puppy.
131-

A Little Black dress happily every after (eventually) book.
132- The Cookie ClubThe Cookie Club- Anne Pearlman
Fairly quick read about a group of women gathering to swap cookies at Christmas time. They all have 'issues' from the previous year and struggle to cope with some of them.
133-

Quite enjoyable in parts.
134-

I haven't been so keen on the latest Danielle Steel books- and this was another that was an ok read. I normally pick them up and immerse myself for a few hours- this one didn't flow so easily.
135-

I really enjoyed this one- it's a while since I read one of the alphabet murders.
136-

A lovely book about a woman who inherits a boarding kennel and tries to rehome the rescue dogs with the perfect new family.

137- Homecoming - Cathy Kelly
A lovely tale of intertwined lives.
138- Through thick and Thin- Gok Wan
An interesting autobiography.
139- Death of a charming man- M C Beaton
Not my fave Hamish book.
140- Twelve Days of Christmas- Trisha Ashley
One of my favourite reads this year- a wonderfully festive book.
141- Our Betty- Scenes from my life- Liz Smith
This was an easy read- and an interesting stroll through her life. It's always interesting to hear how famous people find their path into fame.
142- Secret Diary of a demented housewife- Niamh Greene
A slummy mummy type diary entry book- quite enjoyable!
143- Look Again- Lisa Scottoline
I loved this book. Ellen receives a postcard about a kidnapped boy in the mail. He looks a lot like her adopted son. She discovers that the lawyer who dealt with her adoption committed suicide shortly afterwards. She investigates. This would make an amazing film. I am going to look out for more books by this author.
144- A Christmas Carol- Charles Dickens
Not my favourite author- but a nice one to finish on Chrismas Eve. This has been on my tbr list FOREVER!
145- Minding Frankie- Maeve Binchy
My favourite Maeve Binchy in a long while and one of my fave books this year.

0 needed to hit target for 2010.
Am I going to make the final target?!!!!!!
1 more book to hit target- one more week to go. Can I find enough spare time over Christmas to devour another boo???! I can't miss the target by one- now where is the shortest book I own? I am part way through a Christmas Carol- and I've wanted to read that for years. It would make a nice last choice!
Roll on 2011 and a lower target!!!!!!
I've done it!!!!!!!!!!!!
