I would say two to four on average. If I tried to read many more than that I wouldn't be able to enjoy them.
53 books in a week? What kind of books are we talking about? That's an average of 7 1/2 books a day.
I can generally read between 3-4 books a week, sometimes more, depending on the type of book and how much time I spend on GR. LOL
Why would anyone complain about someone reading too much....that is what we try to promote. That seems odd to say something about a wonderful thing such a reading...I wasn't complaining about someone reading so much....I was amazed about how anyone would have time to read so many books.
I think it is wonderful to hear that someone can read and enjoy so many books in such a short time.
Roughly 2-3 books per week. I average about 10 books per month (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what's going on) so 2.5/week is about right.
I usually read one in a week sometimes I can do more but it really depends on the book. Last week I did 3 but they were short or very captivating...
Usually 2 a week if its in the quieter seasons of my job, though with juggling going out with friends, a second job, and necessary tasks, I generally only get about 50 to 100 pages read a day. On vacation time though, I can pound away 4 or 5 in a week.
I usually read 1 to 2 books a week, depending on the size of the book. I could probably read more than that, but I have a life too.....work, kids, bfs, etc
Probably 2 or 3. If they're young adult, then it I can probably read 4 or 5. I guess it all depends on how much schoolwork I have that week and how much of my time my job is taking from me.
It probably averages out to something between 2 and 3. My goal for the year is 120 so I'd have to do about 2.5 a week to hit that. I read several books at a time so I tend to finish books in groups. May go a week with no finishes and then have 3 or 4 or 5 the next week.
I made my goal of 65 for the year but...I wil not make it I am only 47 in.I can sometimes read a book ina day but not lately since school, work, and two babies! I am changing my goal for next year to 55!
I'm like that too, Dan. There's times I can finish a few in a week, and then other times it takes me a couple weeks just to finish one. It just depends on what I'm reading, and what I have going on at certain times.
If I am in a reading mood, I can easily read a book a day (though they generally are at most 350 pages). If longer it takes me 1.5-2 days. When I was reading for the fall challenge, I read about 35-40 books a month. But once I finished, I have slowed down a lot and am watching more TV (gotta catch up on my DVR it was overfull!)Once the new challenge starts in Dec, I will probably be back to my book-a-day routine. And with the holidays coming up, I can get 2 books a day read when I don't have work.
I'm in the same ballpark as Jessica and Dan. In between the house, yard, and all the dogs, I try to do most of my reading at night. My problem is ... I fall asleep!!!
I also feel guilty if I'm hanging out reading when everyone else is here doing things!
Angst!
It really depends on the book I'm reading. I can power through a 500 pages book in 2 days if I'm really into it or if my mood is right, but I've been working on my current <200 page collection of short stories for almost 2 weeks. I promised myself I'd finish it tonight, though, because I've never spent this long on such a short book.On average, I probably read about 2 a week.
I can get through two books o' fluff a day, but anything that requires presence of mind needs a day or two. I think I'm averaging between 3-5 books a week, fluff included.
If I'm reading an average size book (less than 600 pages), I can quite often finish one a week. However, I LOVE big books! If it's more than 1,000 pages, bring it on! I work full time, and am a mother of two kids who love to be outside - so I don't get a lot of time to read, but when I do, I take advantage of it.
1-2 books a week. If I'm reading 500+ during a work week, it can drag to a whole week. And if I have other RL tasks, that'll drag even longer.I have on a weekend read 4-5 books.
It depends ofc, but i think average is 2 or 3 books per week. I never payed attention to my best record...
Well, with a normal book of 300-400 pages, I found out that I can read one in a day so if I read with the same number of pages. I can read 7 books in a week though I don't really focus on reading so I normally finish 5 books in a week tops.I have other activities to put my attention on so there 3-5 books in a week.
We're all fast readers here, I think. It just depends on the focus and the time we have that keeps us long on one.
How can you guys read more than one book a week? I used to finish 3 books a week. Now I'm working and I only can finish 1 book in 2-3 weeks. But I try to read faster so I can read more :)
I get through about 2, give or take one. I wish I had more time to read though! So many books, so little time...
The most I have ever read in one week was 4, but my average is about 2 or so a week. The 4 was when I was sick and stayed in bed all day and did nothing but read.
When I am "on challenge" I average anywhere from 2-4 depending on the length a day. So I guess 14-24. When I am "off challenge" I'd say 5-7 a week. I just got back to reading some comics too, but I only get them twice a month. I would say an average shipment is 15-20.
