I think Demonata is better since Book 12 of CDF brought it down a HUGE notch. Gah I hated that ending!

Cirque Du Freak IS like the awesomest vampire book out there...
on the other hand The Demonata series almost made me piss in my pants.

Totally agreed! Although Cirque Du Freak's ending pissed me off.

well i did not think cirque du freak is sad its really awesome.but my out of cirque du freak and demonata, demonata is da best.

Yeah, no offense, but I kind feel like I'm in the middle school division of the Darren Shan Fans group(if there was one). Sorry.Anyway, I'm only on the fifth Demonata book, Blood Beast, so I can't exactly say for sure which ones I like best. I think I enjoyed the Cirque Du Freak series more though.

Wow this is a seriously tied debate! Considering i've only read Cirque Du Freak and my next goal is to read Demonata i can't comment on it, but i thought cirque du freak was amazing and it ended great!

Demonata was my favorite. I love how he makes so many long series! I like never have anything to read so this has given me alot! Or had anyway
Both. I think demonata is more bloody and gory then cirque du freak, which is fine, but they are both really good book series that are good series books to read.

The Demonata. It was a really hard, but I think the Demonata was writen in a way I liked more, but I really loved The Cirque.
My bet goes to Demonata.It strikes all the emotional gauge,there's dark and light humor, drama, and of course magic.
I am half way through "Blood Beast" in the Demonata series at the minute, so I wouldn't like to say until I have finished them all... but even so, I do think that it will always be Cirque Du Freak as they're the books that originally made me fall in love with Mr Shan at the age of 13 (i'm now 24)
I personally pick the Demonata. Cirque du freak was very good but it over used '!'. Demonata hd all the eliminates it made me love the charactors
both books are so good! but i would have to pick cirque du freak.

of course "The Saga".it was a masterpiece!but i was totally bored by Demonata in a level that i dropped it on book 6! (it was fair enough until "Bec" though.)
Cirque Du Freak will always be my favorite series, but it starts to drag a little towards the end, and it gets very predictable and sad. Demonata has fun twists and an excellent writing style with the switching of narrators. I would have to say that the series are equal. Darren Shan rules!
I havent read demonata yet but im sure Cirque du freak is better.
I love the demonta series, it's gruesome and awesome, but i would have to say i prefer the saga as the story line was much better!
I've read both series and I personally prefer the demonata series. but cirque du freak is good too and ZOM-B is great.
I liked the ending of Cirque du Freak more than Demonata. But Demonata was for sure more maturely.
