Amy Winehouse.....Gosh, that voice, the 60 year old jazz ability--as if the ghost of Billie Holiday lived in her vocal cords-- such a young age to be so talented. I own the oscar winning documentary on her life. That is highly recommended--as Forbes magazine said..."heartbreaking and enraging." And fully engaging....every time I re-watch it it grips me emotionally all over again......especially after about the first hour of very early home videos. It's amazing how much of her life--as a child, and forward, was caught in snippets of home movies --almost as if a twenty year long award winning documentary had been planned! The comments from jazz greats she met along the way are incredible, as is her ability to hold her own against them! That was her heart--yet a bit of pop-ish music was forced on her....

It should definitely change the way a lot a people see her....not just a party girl......she had many shoves along the way....and people blocking her attempts to get help!
Excellent watch, hope cockney isn't hard for you to understand, like I said..... Make it through the first half hour (I loved the whole thing) but many got restless then....there's a reason it won the award, though!! I had to own it. Better than a movie by far!
