NOTE: Besides, the Comics weren't what made the Transformers popular, it was the 80s animated TV show.
And to my understanding, Transformers generally isn't a Super hero / Super Villian themed RP anyways. There's a whole nother lore to it. That's like saying 'Hey, let's merge Star Wars with My little Ponies' -_-

And Marvel's run was a very long run, even having Spin-off series... And they've had adventures with Spider-Man, the Avengers, GI Joe (twice) and other various characters. To add to that, no "normal" Transformers are in the RP but only a Headmaster which is human sized.
Also, the comics and the recent TF: Prime series have had them deal with Humans and Powered human teams that can hurt the Transformers and defeat them. Just because some of the shows are lazy and make bland humans that either are ineffective as villains or only helping the TF's doesn't mean that superpowered humans can't deal with them.

I'm sorry but mega has a point. Besides, his character has powers that he uses for good and therefore could be classified as both super and hero.

It really doesn't matter how much of a backstory a franchise has. You can make your own characters too if you want. So yeah.
BUT HOLY CRAP HAS ANYONE LISTENED TO MUSE'S NEW ALBUM YET AHHHHHHH. You HAVE to listen to it in order cause it's a concept album. It tells an amazing story. And is super deep. JUST AHHHHHHGGGG IT IS SO GOOD
IT. IS. SO. AMAZING. It's a concept album so it tells a story. Like it starts with a guy breaking up and he feels dead inside so Then he joins the army (in the near future) to fight in world war 3 and the army is super tough and makes him a psychopath and he wants mercy from them. And then he watches the enemy be ruthlessly killed by drones that are simply reaping and bombing them. Then the government begins mind controlling the soldiers and taking away their feelings Because the drones aren't doing a good enough job. And the main guy doesn't want to be a part of this and sees how terrible the army is so he breaks free, I'm pretty sure world war 3 ends her. But the guy realizes how messed up the government is and wants to change it. So he starts a revolt of people that don't want to be controlled by the government. But most of the revolvers are killed so he and someone else hid away and look at the aftermath of the world still controlled by drones and it seems there are real/metaphorical walls around every country and city. But then the guy gets control of nuclear codes and in a 10 min bohemian rhapsody like song he shares the codes with someone who is the only one from the revolt left alive. And he convinces them the planet is horrible and they can start it over but the guy Really just wanted to be loved and cared about but he still blows up the planet so there are no countries or people left. Then the last song is like an opera about how everyone is dead and gone. And he kindof regrets it when he sees everyone he ever cared about dead but then he doesn't.
AND HOLY CRAP JUST LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM.
