I did want to take my son to the David Walliams event (his favourite author)but we missed out on tickets. If anyone has any they would be willing to sell I would love to hear from you.
@ Kathleen that sounds like fun!
@ Kathryn can't help sorry. Anyone around for coffee say 12.30 can let me know.
Probably aren't going to do much for lunch now, as we have tickets for Comedy Festival Sat night. So excited!

I really wanted to go to the Haruki Murakami session but I missed out on tickets, unfortunately. :(
I'm back, really tired but I had an amazing time.
Just so many people at the Aotea Centre & I do think the queues for the shows could be organised better. What do they call it when you have queues zig zag between marking polls? That would work. One of the queues we were in was blocking people trying to get to the cafe. just a small niggle.
The Peter Fitzsimons show was very entertaining, well facilitated by Alison Mau. As well as witty comments there were some serious issues raised - like the damage the very long season in some sports is doing to some athletes' bodies.
& we met Peter Fitzsimon afterwards!
We then went to a freebie with Singaporean poet Edwin Thumboo. Interesting insights into Singapore as well as poetry. Both of us were startled at the number who walked out part way through (just rude!) & my husband saw some people dozing. Why were some people there?
& we went to Raw Comedy at the International Comedy Festival. We went to see a young guy we know - very funny guy. & we now know why he wouldn't let his parents come. Bet he was surprised to have the three of us in row B! :D Most of the comedy was very blue! & my favourite was the bluest of them all, but the 2 young women who shared first place were very worthy winners.
French markets this morning then home. I'm exhausted!

My husband (who pretty much only reads cookbook & sports biographies) wants to go.
Yes, you read that right.
My husband is a massive fan of Peter FitzSimons so we are going to a debate he is taking part in "The Games People Play" at 10.30 on Saturday. Afterwards we might try to catch one of the freebies, before going out to lunch.
