I was born and raised in California (in Yuba City, not far from Sacramento) and I currently live near Warner Robins, GA. I have lived in Washington State, Texas, and Charleston, South Carolina previously.
In sunny Southern California, new to the group last week. Just moved here from the Northern Cali (Bay Area) and love this group. Still unpacking and hooked again re-reading this series. Currently reading, Snow and Ashes. Next is Echo.
It seems I'm the only one from Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada. And I'm probably one of the few who speak french in this group and who read The Outlander series in french. (Thank God for good translation!) Reading it in English now. ;)
Alycia wrote: "So glad you joined, Love to Escape :)"Thanks and I apologize for any future typos to the group. I am also new to these chats...moving has definitely made me to choose new ways of communication and reaching out!:)

I understand. We have warm winters too, not that warm though. Although we did get snow, and a lot of it. Which is a rare thing. Enjoy your weather, I am looking forward to having warm weather again.

Hi,I am in Darwin, Australia.
Hello fellow Aussies - Rosella and Marie.
I am doing my best to recruit others into the Outlander family!!! LOL
Hi everyone! Rochester, New York. -- And Robin, I went to school in Geneseo, so I was always a stones throw from Livonia!
I tell *everyone* with ears about Outlander ... hopefully some will join!
North Idaho! someone earlier was from Idaho, can't find the post now but there are DG fans here! I belong to a book group of about 15 women and most of us have read and loved DG and the Outlander series, and are trying to bring the others over to our side......

I'm in New York (seen escape from New York?) I'm from Oklahoma but haven't lived there since 1985. I would be there in a heartbeat... well, thats a long story. I've lived in Japan, Iran, and Various U.S. States. -Sheryl
Sheryl,Where in Japan did you live? I lived in Nagoya for a year, and I've also lived in the Netherlands. :)
Born and raised in the Dallas area. I have lived in a Minneapolis suburb for the last 9 years. Time has flown!
I was born in Bristol England...but I've lived in Perth Western Australia for the past 35 years....and love it!And....I actually met DG on 9th November last year.
Wow, lots of Canadians here! I'm in upcountry South Carolina now (just outside Charlotte, NC) but I grew up in Michigan and Nova Scotia. My ancestors are from Eigg and Moidart and emigrated to Nova Scotia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Fought at Culloden and survived - just like Jamie! No exciting Caribbean adventures on the way, though - just packed onto the Dove like sardines and shipped over to Pictou when the Clanranald Chieftan "cleared" the Catholic clansmen.
Sharonh - you're close - come to N.O. to visit and eat some shrimp! We can talk about Jamie and Claire!
Alright! I'd love it. Got locked in one the cemeteries there when I was about 24. Barely made it to the gate in time to scream to the night watchman to let me out! Scared the hoodie out of me! Love NO! Haven't been since Katrina. I would love to come and visit. Maybe I can work a trip in sometime soon! We would have a blast talking about Jamie and checking the locals out for some "look alikes". Heh Heh!
Only joined a couple of days ago so responding to many threads. Lived in MI, MA, FL and TN. Moved to Scotland in 2000 and married a Scot. Live on a coastal road near Dunoon. Lived in Uganda for 2 years which is how I finally began reading the series. Needed some escapist books in 2008 and was amazed that Amazon UK would deliver to me there. Had the first 6 books sent to me there.
Who else lives in Scotland?
I've lived in Longwood Florida for 9 years. It's HOT here, Girlies! I grew up on a farm in rural Iowa, lived in Minn., Wi, VA., Boston, OH, IN. and even spent one year in a rural Nigerian village called Ubok Ikot Idom, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria in the eastern delta area. ...My husband and I really want to move to Hawaii after the kids are out of school. He lived there (the Kona Coast Big Island) for 6 years after getting out of the Army...just surfing and golfing therapy to relieve his stress.
New Bern, NC!!!! When I started reading the 'series' 3 months ago I was so excited about New Bern and the areas around me being in the book!!!! :-) She came to this area last month to our convention center but as she was speaking during the day I was unable to attend due to work!!! Bummer!!! I can't wait til book 8 comes out!!!!
