What started the Idea on the series for you( A.L. Kessler) to start writing the series?

DWC actually started on the Hunter sides of things, which isn't seen in the first book at all. I felt that it wasn't the right place to start. Then I realized that there was more going on in the vampire side of things, which is where Lucius came in and In the Light of the Moon picks up at.
